Act of betrayal effects don't work with obeka, there's a difference between "until end of turn" and "at the beginning of the end step". You still give the creature back. On the other hand, lotus field is a nice tech
@@miahmagick Hi friend, the issue here is that Act of Treason effects don't create a delayed trigger, they are an effect with a duration. Therefore there isn't anything to exile from the stack at the end of turn. It would be like giving a creature +3/+3 with Brute Force. It doesn't get to keep the buff forever.
Just wanted to clarify, you can order end step triggers the way you want and respond to the negative triggers after the positive triggers resolve, this way you can let the Jin Git trigger resolve and exile the final fortune trigger off the stack
Solid video! I was originally going token themed but this gave me some good additions to branch and not be so narrow. Definitely a deck I look forward to playing with for its unique ability and pushing it into the direction I really want

Would this work with Agent of Treachery as well? I had a concern just like this. Put Agent of treachery's effect on top of stack, let it resolve, then tap obeka for the rest of negative effects on the stack?

Any "at the beginning of the/your next endstep"-trigger goes on the stack at the exact same time, therefore the rules allow you to put them in any order you want (only your own triggers however), so you put all the beneficial triggers on top. After each trigger that has resolved, a priority-circle starts that gives you the chance to activate obeka's ability, naturally you will do this after all your benefitial triggers have resolved, while all the triggers you want to cancle with Obeka are still on the stack.
Wouldn’t the bounce lands not work because you’d have to tap obeka during your second main phase and then all the bad endstep effects would happen during your opponent’s endstep
Just so everyone knows cards like "Claim the firstborn" and other stealing effects don't work with Obeka. You need to use cads that say "at the beginning of the next end step" not "until end of turn"
Mystifying Maze isn't likely to work, since Obeka has that pesky "may" in her text. You could conspire with another player for them to use Act of Treason or the like to steal a threat, attack (hopefully not you) with it, and once damage has been dealt but still during the combat phase, Maze it, then that player agrees to end the turn?
I came to comment this when i saw the maze, ive seen it in couple other obeka lists also, people forget that "may". Lot of hoops to jump through for it to work but your hypothetical is probably the only way it works.

He explained why it does work right at the beginning. He's ending it in response to the trigger, so the turn ends before the trigger happens.

The only problem with mystifying maze is you have to be right after the person who attacked you to end the turn and keep their creature in exile.
you mentioned you might not get jin's effect, why not? you can choose what resolves and what effects to exile by timing your obeka tap. its nasty

I don't understand, does obeka end a player's turn? So in one on one my opponent has no hope?
No, you normally use her to end your turn
The player who’s turn it is chooses to end the turn. You can’t just end the turn on your opponent’s turn.
