Dad bought an engine like this now recently. Gonna put it in my Chevy Monte Carlo 86 SS. He and i are gonna rebuild and overhaul it so it gonna go for the car. It's gonna be brutal!
hey michigan motor. i have a similar engine, i pulled it to fix an oil leak as well as a broken Ypipe. now i want to run it on the floor (test it prior to install on boat) but i am not sure how to do this without a wire harness. can you offer any info?
Great video, I have the 350 magnum in my 87 Sea Ray Pachanga, its been losing power lately after getting on plane while still throttling forward to gain speed, then comes back after de-throttle a bit, then would not start after fishing for 2 hours, checked it, fuel line from fuel pump had chuncks of tar like substance, (old fuel) from sitting mabe, but fuel pump outlet was full of it too ! I've cleaned it out with head of a large pin, but would that mean the fuel pump itself would be all gummed up ? all original with 279 hours, Thanks, Clinton twp Anchor bay cruiser,,,,
Could just be a sensor issue part # 8M6000623 ; More info is going to be needed like serial # .. I would also recommend taking it to a local Mercruiser dealer -Phil
I am so jealous, my engine which is the same just wont start. It is in a Bayliner and is one of two fitted. The engine got water in due to overcranking and trying to start. I cleaned the water out and after drying plugs,etc got it to start and rode her for about 1 hour. Thereafter she will not start. Got spark, got fuel, engine turns easily but something seems to tell the engine not to fire up. Thegear selector/cutoff is working fine. Can anyone advise, I am at my wits end. O yes, today I replaces the battery cables and opened all looms tosee if that would help. Nada. A diagnostic test on computer shows nothing wrong, except a voltage drop from 13V to below 7V when cranking, that's why I replaced cables and opened looms. Help some-one!!!! I am in South Africa.

yea try to replace the cool fuel pump what they dont tell you is you typically have to pull the engine out to do it

I have this engine. Just replaced the ignition coil module. Runs great but keep getting a double beep alarm. I don’t have a scanner so any idea? Thx

Does the same engine with Bravo III configuration also have the shift interrupt switch?

Sir my 5. 0Mpi mcm no speed speed only 2000Rpm with sea. Out side satring ok .. Rpm 2000 up only probelm sea... Help u sir
