New subscriber, so wonderful to find a So California gardener...I'm zone 10b. Your ideas for hanging baskets are wonderful. I'll be doing this with my hanging baskets. Thank you!
Awesome video. So informative. Never would have thought about the taller liners 👍 I start out with beautiful petunias and then shortly they become thin and sparce, not pretty to look at 😕 Your flower pots are gorgeous. Thank you. Subscribed and hit the 🔔
Hi my dear friend, you gave some great tips and I really do appreciate it. I really enjoyed the video on the hanging baskets. I’m just now starting to work with my hanging baskets minor not as pretty as yours, but this does encourage me to think out of the box a little and maybe when gardening season is over and hanging baskets go on sale maybe I’ll pick up maybe 3 to 5 and try to get the liners and see if I get better at doing my hanging baskets with all the great tips you shared today
You’re right! This is the first of its kind that I’ve seen. It’s basic yet it is one of the most helpful and useful! I liked your clever use of the plastic saucers as liners within a liner!!! Thank you very much for putting it out there. ❤❤❤
I’m going to try the trays in my cocoa liner pots this year. Mid season there’s a lot of water drainage which this may fix. Thanks for the tips. I am now a new subscriber 🌷
I am new to your channel. I just signed up to follow you. I need some great gardening channels to give me some great gardening tips. You have a beautiful garden and thanks for all of your inspiration.
Welcome! I'll be putting up new videos a couple of times a week. I hope they are an encouragement to you and give you some great ideas. Spring is a wonderful time to be out in the garden. Thanks for your comments. 👍🌱
Just found your channel. Love these tips. Looks like you might be in So. California. Your property looks familiar to me. Looking forward to more videos.
Woukd you clarify soms things about using plastic deep saucer and plastic shallow saucer in coco liner together like that? So that doesn't hold so much water in that root rot happens? Can some of that water still seep out into coco liner if excessive water? Do you recomnend those coco linsrs for indoor use? Or could the water drip on floor? What do you like about coco liners other than how they look? Are they fast to rot indoors too? Coukd they attract bugs inside? Or attract cats to nibble on them? I like their natural texture look and am seeking something maybe more lighrweight than terracotta for indoor hanging planter.
I found some nice 16” hanging pots but cant find the deep plastic liners. Any chance you have a good source? I tried Amazon, Walmart and Home Depot. Thx
I'm sorry to hear you're not able to find them. For a sixteen inch pot, I think you'll need to use a twelve inch liner or bigger if you could find them. I put a link below the video to order them from amazon. From amazon, you will need to order a ten pack. I have picked them up from Lowe's. You might give them a try. Thank you for your comment. 🌱👍
I didn't realize this was Garden Answer music. I just liked it because it was sort of snappy, and youtube allowed us to use it. Thanks for the comment. 👍🌱
Hi, If you check the description box of the video, I put a list of products with links. The fertilizer I use for the hanging baskets is Proven Winners Continuous Release. 👍🌱
Thanks for asking, Check out the description box underneath the video. There are products and links there for the hanging baskets. I use the Proven Winners continuous release fertilizer. Once a month or so, I also use the blue granules that mix with water. An easy one to come by is Miracle Grow, or you could check with your local nursery for what they recommend. I use a Hose-end sprayer to apply these fertilizers. 👍🌱
Absolutely! I find that if I use the time release fertilizers in the soil several times a year, I do not have to use the water soluble as often. I should have clarified. Thanks for the comment. 👍 🌱
Yes, I agree. That is the reason I cut the Lining. I want the water to peculate down to the bottom and not drain out the sides. Thanks for the Comment.
@@SuburbanGardening365 thank u for the response. I have drip irrigation installed and have not seen water drain out from the sides of the cocofibre ever. But worth considering your point. Thank you
Oh my goodness! This is brilliant 😊 I have been planting hanging baskets for many years and will definitely be doing this now !! Thank you ☺️
Glad it was helpful! 🌱

I would like to say that lining up a cocofibre pot with plastic defeats the purpose of what cocofibre provides - good drainage!
