This did not work for the Shopify Dawn Theme. The code also looks completely different in the dawn theme code. I obviously did not just want to go ahead and change code which I won't be able to fix. Please can you make an updated video about this?
I had the same issue with the Dawn theme but it finally worked. Make sure you're editing the right line in the code for the image. I changed mine on line 92 and made sure the file name was the same as i have it in the assets folder. it took a lot of trials but it worked.
@Hi king. Thank you so much. i have a question. say that you offer 4 different values for gift cards and you want the image to display different cards for different values for example 100$ giftcard displays a gold card and 2000$ displays a Platinum card.. do you know how to make this work?
Hi there, I have followed the steps in your first video of this topic and the shopify default gift card is still there. I'm pretty sure I replaced the right coding too. In this video, when I open my notifications>gift card created>but when I switch to the sms and it states I can't edit the sms. I have a basic Shopify plan.Is that why? Not sure I can customize this gift card w/ the basic plan. It's frustrating not to change his gift card. I designed the perfect one for my shop.

Ed, here's a question that shopify support can't help me with - hope you can or might have some ideas. I have various gift card options for the customer to choose - birthday, thank you themed card variants to the single Gift Card product. Now the issue I have is that the image for the selected variant doesn't appear as the image for the gift card when the customer clicks on the view gift card button in their email. Is there any way you can think of to access the variable image they selected and put it on the gift card page? Thank you!
Yeah possibly... hard to explain in a comment, I will need to make a video. But you can probably use an if statement inside gift_card.liquid to check which gift card it is (experiment with one of these outputs - shopify.dev/api/liquid/objects/gift-card) and output different images based on that.

Hi how do i accept only prepaid orders for gift cards, when my Cod payment is enabled.
There will be multiple instances you will see the same code line in the HTML body...so make sure to change your file name in all code lines...
