Thanks, Dino! I'm lucky enough to have a vintage 1976 V-4B. Nothing comes close to the tone from a P-Bass with SD Quarter Pounders pushing those old 7027a tubes! This reissue looks awesome, but I'm a little sad to see the reverb missing.
This is awesome! It's nearly impossible to find the V4Bh's that were made in the mid ninties to the early 2000s anywhere. I'm sure that Ampeg's decision to re-release this other than comsumer demand is also a response for Fender's Bassman 100T which is also the same price. I commend Ampeg for sticking with the vintage look of the original V4B and the DI and speakon connectors, but I have to say that Fender has up on Ampeg cause the Bassman 100T has auto-basing and switchable channels.
Can you make a video showing what's inside - I see it is assembled in China. That's a lot of money for a Chinese made amp - so, are the sockets, transformers, pots of the best quality? I would like to know more about the components and assembly. I used to have a Magnavox V4b - it sounded great, but broke often. I am seriously thinking about buying this product - just want to know more about it and how it is assembled.
Is the amp being recorded live or off the D.I.? the 12's are very impressive in the lower curves sounds like a very manageable and practical full stack to me
So THAT is portable? It weights more than my Markbass combo... :-) Great tone tho...

I believe the fair question would be if the additional engineering features on the new Ampeg V4B are justifiable for an approximate 600$ difference in price. Any 100W amplifier that does not feature a wattage reducer would not be suitable as a bedroom amp. Actually even a 30W amplifier is not. I found the reading off of the prompter very insincere as a marketing move and I would like to see the difference between using the two inputs, how the midrange switch is affecting the tone and so on..
I've tried to enter the US contest on Facebook; I already "liked" the Ampeg page previously. Something's weird on the page, because I can't scroll down to enter on the "giveaway" tab. It doesn't show past the top 1/4 of the embedded TH-cam vid. That's why I'm sending you info here. Message me for my email address...
There is nothing better than a demo where you can appreciate the sound of a all tune ampeg..pure tone bliss...play watt u love...love watt u play.
Dino it makes such a change to have a company listen to what their customers want.
I love the speaker outputs, great engineering and wholle lotta lot of possibilities there! Don't need more!

What's the name of the cabinet that goes with this V4B?
Can I also use it to stay warm in the winter?
You mentioned a video on the cabs...is that up yet?
Good demo ! I want one instead of my SVT 3 pro :)
Sounds great.
I'm buying this.
When will they be available in stores for demo? very cool unit! thanx!
Excellent Video!
Looks cool.. Ampeg rule... No modeling smodeling :)
Ummm Dino? What's that cool lick at 1:50. Got a tab? is it E, D, Db, D, DhE?
Great sounding amp.
I'd love to hear it with a guitar - see if you can get those 70s Keef sounds!
im getting one.. can i ask where these are made??

Is the D.I. before or after the master volume? In other words can you record the D.I. without sound coming from your cab?
AWESOME.
hi! would that work with a Ampeg BA 115 HP as speaker?
will this be too loud for a bedroom amp?
are they made in US?
Of course, you're right; it also has the extra "distortion" channel
So THAT is portable? It weights more than my Markbass combo... :-) Great tone tho...

WANT. THIS. YO.
Those are all secondhand, though. These are brand new. I think the price is quite fair.
No speakon connectors? OK, to be honest, I will take the amp anyway! But I would like to have speakon connectors.
Price tag?

seems proper to me... not sure what you are talking about.
