Recently replaced the same connector and jack on my Banzai Run interconnect and replaced the connector with a heavy duty variant which functions the same but can handle more power going trough it then the regular ones. Just a few cents more expensive and worth it just to not have to remove the board again. Also a funny thing is that on the Banzai interconnect for my game they only populated every other pin like you did. And put special 0-ohm resistors to basically jumper the voltage to the traces on the next pin.
Interesting. It sounds like the the board design changed over time (at least for Banzai) to handle the ‘every other pin’ connector design. Good to know.
@@LeebosPinball Yes that is also what I think did happen, especially since Banzai had a different board from the very start. Might be interesting to check if any of the traces have holes in them that serve no purpose, I do not have access to any other interconnect games to very this at the moment
