Adam didn't like the direction 3dg was going, he didn't like the pressure the band placed on him and he didn't feel free in the music 3dg was creating, so he left on his own behalf. He left permanently and didn't want to get back. He started doing solo stuff with Rich Beddoe in 2013, ex drummer of Finger Eleven. The two of those later on were part of forming this band
And Jeff. Adam went to rehab in 2005. The stuff Adam got from rehab he used in the album One-X. The stuff to this album has a lot to do with his feelings regarding 3dg, his ex wife Naomi whom he divorced by this time too, and the new woman he met who he now is married to. If you check out the music video for Better Place it's actually his wife pulling him up from the edge... literally

This is the song that sold it to me, I really didn't like Better Place, it was quite un-melodic, and a bit too screechy for me, however this song kicks ass. And Blow Me Wide Open is great too. Need to watch out for these guys, its turning out to be one of my most anticipated albums now of the year (after Dark Before Dawn from Breaking Benjamin) :-) Adams vocals are better as ever though. !

When I saw Adam Gontier, my favorite singer apart from Ben Burnley, from one of my favorite bands, Three Days Grace, was forming a new band, I was so excited. Then I heard Better Place. I nearly had a fangasm. Jesus Christ, that was an amazing song. I still feel like Better Place is the best of Saint Asonia so far, but this was definitely better than Blow Me Wide Open. I started to lose interest with Blow Me Wide open because the lyrics were lazy, and the instrumentals felt off and just not like something a band like this would produce. This is way better, but I feel like if the lyrics were a bit better and had a little more stand out instrumentals, this would have been just as good as Better Place. I like this song cause I get Three Days Grace vibes when I listen to it. It reminds me a lot of Riot, one of the first TDG songs I heard. So yeah, that's my little Mini Review :P

When I first heard this on the radio I though tit was a Three Days Grace song I never heard. Im glad he has a new project, to me it sounds like his version of Three Days Grace, and I am perfectly ok with that!!! The more I think of it, reminds me of "home".
