Lovely to see you Sarah and Jake. Thanks for sharing Mia who is so cute. Looks like you're enjoying looking after her and giving her a safe home to live her life 😊
So lovely to see the three of you. Really pleased you have been volunteering at an animal shelter. Mia is adorable. Thank you so much. Good luck to you all ❤ xx
I love this so much! Thank you so much for advocating for bunnies; they really make great pets when their needs are met (like any pet)! I've had a couple pet rabbits and they are just extraordinary. They are so intelligent and really become part of the family if given the opportunity. ❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing sweet Mia with us! She is beautiful and great company/entertainment. I wanted to agree with you about her private space. I have crate trained my dogs when they were young. It was a safe space for them when I wasn't at home, sleeping, etc. My dogs, like Mia also went in their crates on their own when they wanted time out or just to rest. Like you said about Mia, they have their boundaries too. Wishing the three of you all the best!
Congratulations to you both, it is amazing how much joy a small animal can give you. She is very cute...I looked after. a bunny once, it was great except my cat was scared of it and the bunny was bigger than she was. Thank you so much Jake and Sarah for sharing!!!🐰🐇🤩
Awww, I love hearing about fun pet interactions, especially with pets of different species. I've heard a lot of stories where the rabbit bosses other animals around haha
"Blueberry time," is hilarious. In our house in "greenie time" for our dog. They can tell time. Mia is so sweet and has such beautiful colors. Seeing her return the love you are giving her is so amazing. Do you have a sitter in place for when you travel?
Haha I love it! The dogs we had growing up also loved those greenies! We won't be traveling much in this phase of life, but my mom watched her for a few days when we were out!
Oh! I had bunnies for years.❤❤ Such sweet companions. Of course, I didn't have them all at the same time, and they were all very smart. I owned them during the wire era of phones, etc. My only words of advice is watch your wires, if you still have any. How lucky you are...congrats and have fun!❤❤ Edit: I usually owned one at a time but did own 2 at one time. 😄
How wonderful that you and Mia have bonded so closely. ❤ I fostered 2 male lops with very different personalities. One truly lived up to his “Honey bunny” name, but Snuggles definitely wasn’t 😂 he was hilarious though. In the end, it turned out I’m deathly allergic to rabbits, but each went to delightfully loving homes 😅❤
Awww, congratulations, Mia is such a beauty! The patterning on her fur is so cool! We have a white lop, an unneutered male. He doesn't groom (lick) us at all but he runs circles around us at times while he does little grunts. Does Mia ever do circles around you? Also, I don't remember you mentioning feeding her pellets. Is that part of her diet or not really necessary? I'm not a content creator but I've uploaded some shorts of his antics if you want to check them out. 🐇
Thank you, Jenny! Your white lop is so cute as well! The circling is awesome! We don't see the circles all the time, but often does when she gets 1T of pellets every morning. The vet said rabbits don't technically need pellets, and since she struggled with her weight before it is best to keep it small. She does love them though!
What a nice surprise! I am a bunny mom myself, I currently have two rescue buns. I am just curious, are you planning on getting another bunny at some point? I absolutely do not mean to criticise un any way, I'm sure she is very happy already (sure looks like it!) and that she gets lots of attention since you both work from home. It's just so wonderful to see rabbits interact with each other once they're bonded 🥰 I wish you all the best of luck 🌸
Thank you so much! Always great to hear from other bunny people! We've talked a lot about trying to bond her in the future. It does seem like an intimidating process!
@AbundantlyMinimal Yes, it can be very much work, that's the worst thing about bunnies in my opinion. I have done it 5 times now but I still very much hate it 😂 mostly because it's stressful and time consuming.
Aww, I love Mia and this video! Thank you for all of the rabbit parenting information. I would love to foster and maybe own a rabbit one day. I am curious how difficult the litter training is and if they chew all cords generally.
Thank you! From our own experiences, adopting a rabbit that is at least a year old and has been spayed or neutered makes litter training a lot easier, and in Mia's case, we didn't even have to do anything. It helps to have hay in their litter box so they are already in the right spot when grabbing a snack! We've played it quite safe on cords so we generally keep cords higher up or blocked off just in case, though I don't think all rabbits chew on them the same way. I think rabbits get confused and maybe think they are hay haha
We definitely know that bonded pairs are preferred and that was our intention if we knew we were going to adopt from the start. This adoption was unplanned as we went into it as fosters only, not intending to adopt. About 60% of the rabbits that come into the shelter are solo buns, so that is a lot of who we have helped in our fostering this past year. Sure, a solo bun may not be the perfect scenario, but we are glad that she is in a safe and loving home, and not in a cage or left outside somewhere else (like about half the rabbits are who come into the shelter).
@@AbundantlyMinimal i agree with the thought of helping helpless animals. But its not enough i think. I do hope for the bunny to get a chance to find a partner or a group. just want to keep this in mind. :)
It's not so black and white. It's preferred, but if you give enough attention and activities, it will be good, I see Jake and Sarah do that. The bunny looks really happy😊🐰
Congratulations, Sarah, to Jake and you. Mia is so adorable. We know you both will give her a loving and happy home. Hugs ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much, Cathy! She is so adorable!

Aww thanks! We love her so much!
So sweet, LOVED the "twinsies" ❤🐰
Yay! It was a fun coincidence haha :)
Awww 🥰 she’s so sweet and looks so happy!
She has a cute, little bunny bum 💕
Congratulations to the both of you 😊

Wow, what a sweet little baby! 😍❤️🐇 Thanks for sharing stories & her behaviours… so fascinating! I’ve only had cats, a dog & my own little ape 😂
Thank you!
So flipping cute!
Thank you! She is!
Lovely to see a rabbit not living in a cage with freedom to run around

@@AbundantlyMinimal Thank you so much for answering my questions! I hope you might give us some Mia updates in future videos.
I'm sure she will make many cameos haha
Sorry, but never hold a Rabbit for its own. It needs a partner for being happy (for species-appropriate animal husbandry)
