I had the opportunity to test drive this new GT and a McLaren 570s. The McLaren is a great car, but I had to go with the new AMG GT! I was blown away by how it was able to hide that weight and had so much fun driving it. I couldn’t figure out how it’s able to accelerate so quick. But I imagine it’s actually using that weight to its advantage. It would help by adding more grip to those tires with that 4matic plus tech. Once up to speed, it uses its aero and other tech to allow you to drive it like crazy. I get mine this January and I’m so stoked!! Great review!
Congratulations! But shouldn’t the McLaren have a big speed increase and handling, although I understand if you got the amg as more of a grand touring car than a super car.

So here's my question...you got to have 4 seats (once every month or so, pick up kids, but mainly just driving around town)...which would you choose Miles for semi daily driver (my other is a trx for family stuff): X5M, M3CS, GT63e performance 4 door, GT63 coupe, Panamera GTS, or Porsche 911 GTS?

That design looks like it would age unbelievably well if it wasn't for those video gamery tail lights. Takes away from the whole timeless look and dates the car severely. They almost had a 300sl level design here.
The AMG GT (previous gen) is much more appealing and the price makes it hard to justify the new gen. Even though this car is beautiful. Even the AMG GT-R is a more appealing purchase and was much cheaper than this 63.

Coming from those cars I can tell you that you can instantly hear huge difference in sound and can instantly tell sound is being manufactured and its not all actual engine sound, because no engine in existance sounds like that. If you ever heard how a launch control on the new AMG S63 E performance sounds, you get hints of that in the cabine of the AMG GT 2 door. Meanwhile the previous versions all you heard was deep rumbling of the V8 and exhaust.
@ then your dad is a motor journalist and he can tell you exactly how and why these sound systems exist. They don’t just loan them out for a week from a dealer. That was a press car.
@IanTheCarGuy he is a dentist. And no it wasnt a press car. The dealer where he usually gets his cars gives cars to potential buyers/frequent customers so that they can decide weather they want it or not. Living with a car really tells you if you like it or not compared to the usual test drive.
Nobody's paying 200k for this and for the fools that do, I'll be waiting for that second owner spot to open up at sub100k with 25k miles when the next gen comes out

If its nothing special it makes absolute no sense to be priced at 210k（almost 20k more than the amg gtr）. I can afford it but I would never pay for it.

Dude my car. (M4 comp xdrive) did 0-60 in 2.8 sec stock which is also faster then this off the line and probably to the quarter but id still rather have this car. No one cares dude. And anyways passing speed it far more useful in everyday driving and this and my car are way faster from a roll then a tesla model 3 . I've smoked a few model 3s already.

Absolutely gorgeous, but $211k is nuts, at that point you can get a highly specced 911 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet.
This car doesn’t have the obnoxious 992.2 GTS front air vents.

I think the rear seats are a must have in this car as they are foldable giving you extra boot space (aprrox 675 liters/23.8 cubic feet)
