I have all the symptoms. It’s effecting my blood pressure now and my thyroid. Explant scheduled in 3 weeks! This is a real disease and more awareness needs to be made.

Great podcast...Thank you Doctor...just had my implants removed after 46 years...Years of severe joint pain and inflammation with many doctors and tests saying no real reason for such extreme pain throughout the body.Only 4 days since removal so don't know if my joint pain will disappear yet...also on pain killers for recovery which could be masking my usual joint pain...really praying my pain will permanently go with removal of implants. Doctor, you are such an important voice at the moment, keep pushing...thank you so much🙏.

Oh my dear, thank you so, so much for your amazing journey and I also have BII and all your symptons are just some of mine!!! I'm 72 years young now and have had these implants for 18 years! If I knew how sick I would become with no help from the medical community then I would have NEVER had them put in my body! The anxiety and panic attacks were extremely debilitating to the point I couldn't literally MOVE! I felt like I was dying so many times! I considered myself VERY healthy as I've been an athlete for most of my adult life. I've climbed TEN 14,000 ft mountains here in Colorado, skied with my Ski Patrol ex-husband for ever 30 years, long distance runner for 20 years, Ocean Sailing and scuba diving for over 10 years and every kind of Biking (road, race, mountoin, slick rock, beach cruising, 3 wheel, gravel and touring) for over 42 years! Golfing since I was 18 yrs old and I'm still hiking in the mnts of Colorado and just trying to stay healtny!!! I miss my life style and now have the hope and knowledge of getting that back! I'm currently researching explant doctors and am planning to email Dr. Whitfield in Austin, Tx. I believe my advancing age has nothing or very little to do with the 20+ symptoms I'm experiencing with these breast lmplants for years! I do nol take medication of any kind and have normal weight and blood pressure! Thank you Mother Earth and Father God for leading me to these podcasts and continuing to lovingly hold me in your PALMS and whispering "every little thing's gonna be alright)!!!

I’ve had implants (saline) since the end of 2015 & my lips have been severely chapped every single day. I couldn’t enjoy a glass of wine or beer since I got them. It throws off my PH. I also had a reaction from meds I was prescribed for a “feminine” imbalance post implant surgery & my body reacted (oral thrush) to the meds. I have become more exhausted as the years go by… my back hurts (neck too). Thanks for providing this info. I have been part of the BII FB group for +2 years.

Thrush was probably most likely from antibiotics. It’s not uncommon to get yeast infections when they good bacteria are killed off.

Unfortunately the cost for removal isn’t covered by insurance. In 1990 doctors didn’t give patients correct information. Now 9500.00 for removal is way out of reach for most. Guess we will have to live in pain.

      Many do cover it.

I disagree with this doctors opinion that plastic surgeons who do explants should not do implants. Not everybody gets breast implant illness so why wouldn’t they do both?
