We need a "Linus reacts to" video of this.
Yes pls?
If Linus had an reaction channel, I think his channel wouldn't survive long, based on his email chain responses :D
"my browser is Chrome"
I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed.
th-cam.com/video/oHNKTlz1lps/w-d-xo.html - ohm goodness. Too bad..
Me too. I thought he's gonna say firefox
yeah, at least he could've used chromium instead
I struck for a moment there... LOL
yes :(
I wait for this every year.
Man, why don't I have that profile picture
Happy anniversary!
Man, why don’t I have that profile picture.
I cried....feeling proud...good code.. open source then I heard "Chrome".. WTF!!! But rhymes come first! Praise Suse
I think if they said firefox completely out of rythm it would have been funny
@@viiltelijamurhaaja7225 They could've said something else "my browser is Foxx.."
Really the moment when He said Chrome was so bad
I think it’s implied that means chromium based
Maybe he meant chromium?
Great song 9/10 just change the web browser
...and DE.
LOL no just the DE XD
It should go like this: My desk is MATE, when I go surf the interwebs, my browser is Brave.
Mina Michael Gnome is good with extentions and other themes without left slidebar. Look this th-cam.com/video/dQh-VxkNZKA/w-d-xo.html
My desktop is bspwm my browser w3m wouldn't sound that good xD
Tears come to my eyes each times when the kids are singing. This song is so, so good.
>Gnome
>Chrome
NORMIE DETECTED, REEEEEEEEEE!
systemd is better **grabs popcorn**
looooool
KDE for life.
All you need is a command line interface. GUIs are for newbies.
@@1973Washu All you need is a keyboard and one printer, monitors are for newbies
Thanks so much Suse for preserving what RHEL can't. Also you have the coolest distro music videos.
>My browser is chrome
fully open-source AF
CHROMIUM DOESNT RHYME WITH GNOME IM SORRY
@@itsthesola10 That's why GNOME should also be replaced :P
@@MrLuke255 I'll be waiting for an open DE that rhymes with any of Chromium, Firefox, Brave, Konqueror, Rekonq, Epiphany or Midori. Oh, and anything over two syllables in the list above is disqualified, since it doesn't fit in the rhythm.
One final blocker, the rhyme should fit in the rest of the song and not sound out of place.
PS: Brave/Mate is a poor rhyme. Do you really want "Linux" anticonsumerism over the music sounding decent?
It's kind of incredible that Linus Trovalds made a whole OS and made if fully open and free. He didn't want no money from it or anything and that's why I admire him.
Trailblazer
He made the Kernel, not the whole OS. Still stands, though.
You are mistaking him with terry davis, the most genius programmer of all time!!
@@emrexcem unironically true. Linus deserves credit for what he did, but make an entire OS he did not, and accept zero money he did not. Those things mentioned in the video: shell, gnome, chrome, not written by Linus, but he gave a great platform for them! And he certainly would not be so wealthy without Linux although the code is free for sure.
Linux is not an os
We even got better songs then windows.
LMAO

Amazing work you guys!
OMG😍😍
I love you guys
Two videos in a day😍
It's a great lullaby song! It brings some kind of inner peace. I feel closer to my friends and willing to face another day. Keep up the good work! Awesome, guys!
Amazing job Russ, as usual !!!
Great positive vibes marketing, keep on this direction as it's a breath of fresh air. Something I can share with my children
Nice touch at the end, all back vocals singing "Su su su... Su su suse..."
Wow! great work as always
Thank you Finland. Finland is the only possible bastion for freedom even today as Linus has repeatedly said himself. His patriotism has sometimes been considered "over the top" in USA. But what the hell - he's just proud of his country.
I hope that this will start to get more views.
Well made! :D
same
You got your wish
I'm surprised if Stallman had nothing to say over it
LOL
New favorite yt Channel, greetings from 2024
You could have done
"My browser is Chrome... ium!"
That’s what we meant to say! :)
Brilliant!
Awesome!
I have been using linux for over 10 years. I like so much it.
O video é fantastico!, parabéns!
Big shout out to Bryan Lunduke for writing the original lyrics!
The name of the author literally in the video description. Who is Bryan Lunduke?
@@ReivecS He used to be on the board of opensuse, now he writes for linux journal and has a really cool youtube channel that you should check out.
My last machine in my household (my gaming and working machine) got upgraded today to Linux :)
I am partying with this song :D
This is so good
Amazing
Clip Sensacional......
amazing song
this is really good
Great Song! It's a Fantastic!
Gotta love those kids singing. I thought it's just a dial on your frequency.
Gentoo user here, using KDE & Qupzilla.
But it doesn't matter, Linux drive them all.
And I love good music from you guys.
Thank you.
One word Awesome
Children singing about Linux is awesome 😄
Let's all be honst here... They probably use Windows 10 nowadays.
Oh, Imagine those miserable kids are tortured to memorize those technical terms: GPL, GCC, Makefiles ... etc! :D
Doesnt it mean GNU C Compiler? God damn it its GNU Compiler Collection nowadays
They didn't have to: 2:39, 2:53
Anass Ahmed Real tech freaks know this terms before the learn to speak. XD
Blessed*
Imagine those kids being extremely skilled programmers… :D
Woow, very beautiful ❤️
"Community decided it was good code" is probably the best thing that any dev could ever hear or read about the code that it was wriite
I use SUSE for long time, never know about this parodies, thank you! Happiness it's what I feel after I abandoned that ugly system that control you that blue one, yachck!
I mean I code on windows but damn boy this smacks
Is “smacks” a good thing? :)
@@SUSE very good
i believe this song could win eurovision song contest!
working at suse looks fun ngl
"My browser is chrome."
Chromium*
According to the SUSE Account they wanted to add a bit of lyrics that comes over as controversial. Those controversial things being GNOME and Chrome.
Apart from that, Chromium wouldn't rhyme and if you use Chrome or Chromium barely makes a difference.
love
this song is great 🙌🏼
This is great! Could I or you post the audio for this on SoundCloud ?
4 years, I'm here again, finally, now that finally don't have time for games anymore, I switched my machine OS to linux AND GOD, it feels good to have my system using 1/8 of what windows would use lol xD
+ Cute efficient CLI
epic
One last question in my mind right now: Was the Audio/Video production work done under Linux with GNU/GPL Software? I'd be impressed and'd like to now which programs were being used.
So beautiful 🥺 hopefully those kids are curious now about it :)
Let's be honest... Probably not.
Even this song is also open source 😉.
very good song
very nice 😊😊
I like that don't stop @SUSE
Why I used openSUSE? Because this song.
My desk is gnome
Ohno
My browser is Chrome
OHNO
AYYYYYY Suse got their shit together and this video is no longer marked for kids... comments are open and you can be in my music playlist again! Win (after years of fail).
I'm still really happy this can be in my play list again. Thanks guys. ♥
Is this ever going onto Spotify?
This is cool! I kept waiting for a "But" in this song, as if they were saying, "Linus said this, and Linus did that, and everybody did this and everybody did that, BUT!" But they never did. Pretty cool song.
Well is this video edited on Linux? That's the big question.... BTW great song!
This feels like a Christian rock music video and honestly it's just as holy
working with suse everyday for years on high-end system (pacemaker, Slurm, salt ...) with "support", the only thing i will remember about it will be the amount of "this is unsupported" before having a "oh our bad; sorry here is the bug fix" 2 month of fight later. Cute song won't change how happy i am to change job, and main distro
@Linus
What do you think about it?
So many people switching to Linux nowadays, thank's Microsoft for making the Year of Linux desktop possible!
This rewatch sponsored by SUSE RHEL fork
one needs to like and be in the foss community for a good amount of time until they starts to admire this kind of songs
This has to be the best that these parodies have to offer. Thank you, SUSE. I'd use your OS build tool, but I really don't like the overbranding. Your logo is stamped EVERYWHERE, and it's just more worth it to manually build from Arch because of that.
Hehe
People need to know about this
What license is the song/video using?
His browser is Chrome...?
Sounds like absolutely proprietary
According to the SUSE Account they wanted to add a bit of lyrics that comes over as controversial. Those controversial things being GNOME and Chrome
All could use it for whatever they like:)
I am blasting this on the streets tryna get people to use Linux.
Those kids will be using Linux before high school :)
Nah they'll the Linux kernel contributor
wow i wonder if people will be talking about the chrome bit in the comments
linus said that it was open
❤❤❤❤❤
made a program that just spams this on my desktop lol
linus torowald is Computer language GOD
all these music makes me want to try opensuse so much. But man I am stuck with fedora. Will make the switch soon when I'm ready :D
You can do it!!!
@@SUSE Alright then, you got me. Opensuse, the next distro to hop ;) Hope that it will be the last hop.
I mean... as long as you're not planning on using it as a normal Desktop Distro, I think you'll be fine with openSUSE
@@appleleptiker I tried it, it didn't work great with nvidia drivers though. I dunno but fedora work with nvidia pretty easy so I reinstalled Fedora.
Blank screen with only a cursor, configure in the bootloader adding the word noevu ( I forgot the word ) are problems that I faced, and I couldn't find a good solution though. It's pretty tough :(
with what software was this video produced?
i rest my case
Kdenlive, Reaper, Blender, etc.
As the other person said, probably Kdenlive or something similar.
wow well its a GOOD song
this is marketing, ah right, it's open
My Desktop Is Not Gnom
its Kde plasma Tumbleweed
WTH is a multithread filesystem!!
Wasn't it an operating system?!!
I think it's ext2, not Linux kernel.
@@orchidiedtx
Yeah but processes and threads are managed by the kernel so that it is able to schedule them
While the filesystem is like a storage engine that only stores data and sometimes cache them
It's a song, must rhyme
Gnome?!
Gnome Chrome, ya'll are complaining in the comments below, but I bet you can't find a more iconic rhyme.
«Go Firefox Home»
play new one for 2019
I’m an anti-authoritarian, libertarian, independent, atheist. Why am I crying?😢
Is this song gpl?
Why chrome😭
1/42 of viewers liked this video. Why don't more people click like for the videos they like? It's not like anybody sees!
wonderful song, except for the part of chrome
"Chrome" *triggered*
How do I pronounce SUSE?
th-cam.com/video/N4lFHP-UxTk/w-d-xo.html
ok, so I just wanna make it clear that I ended up here from a mix playlist that was called children's music...
anyone wrote the lyrics ?
Yes someone did write the lyrics.
in any comment i meant
The lyrics for this were written by Rick Ashford an employee at SUSE
