That's about the same walks I do when I'm in the Philippines, I was inside One Ayala in March of this year. I can't wait to do another walk next month. Thanks for the video. Aloha from Hawaii
I am a retired banker and used to work in Makati. My goodness I think I wouldn't know my way around already since after retiring I haven't going to Makati anymore because there was no need for it. Impressive indeed.
Though I'm not retired, I do understand what you mean. I'm a Y2K kid, born in 1998. My family used to go to Makati (before BGC became a thing), but we eventually stopped when Market! Market! opened, as it was closer to where we lived. We moved to Pasig in 2007, and from then on, SM Megamall became our go-to place. Now that I'm working (our team is WFH, by the way) and our main office is in Makati, there are times when we need to report onsite. The first time I went back to Makati, I almost got lost. It no longer has the charm I felt when I was a kid-perhaps because I was searching for nostalgia.
Even if BGC is more modern, I still prefer the Makati CBD malls: more parking, interconnected buildings, old Makati charm. Plus, I worked in Legaspi and Salcedo village before. Thanks!
Yes so proud of Makati, I live opposite Greenbelt 5. Nightlife is also good in Greenbelt, no need to go far. Greenbelt 1 and 2 is under renovations, I heard it will take under 5 years to be done .
I have visited malls in Philippines from Australia...A big complaint I have is there is nowhere to sit and rest from walking (Senior citizen)..I mean nowhere....Very few toilets also....In Australian malls there is seating all over...You can see from this video there are no seats.
Yes that's a big problem with these mega malls. The few places there is for seating is packed. In SM Santa Rosa, where many people sat on the stairway they placed an ice ring to cut it off.
I am a senior too that is why don't go to big malls .The intentionally don't provide benches so people won't go lto just form a group sitting all day everyday...gangmates
Not just the food court, but to discourage illegal vendors from selling their poor trinkets and the occasional pobre that asks and begs for money. It corrupts the mall and cheapens the luxurious vibe. Maybe that isn’t the case in Australia but it’s certainly a vagrant magnet in the Philippines if they did what you ask. On a capitalist level, mall owners want people to keep walking, generating movement and generating prospective sales.
we have "Dad Lounges" here, David. located near the parking spaces. It is where bored and miserable husbands stay while the women in their lives go shopping. Anyway, seniors and disabled are allowed to sit in vacant restaurant chairs outside.
Makati year back 2000 a place will everyone love to visit because of cleanliness That was BINAY days very strict on rules now I don't know what's next to be politics not the same anymore BGC now the progressive city in Metro manila Philippines
Да там можно бродить неделю и то посмотреть лишь малую часть) Спасибо за такой потрясающий репортаж! Накормила глаза досыта!) Как будто-бы сама там побывала.
thanks! ngayon ko naalala na makati boy pala ako half of my college years. SM is unrecogizable even from 7 years ago, Glorietta still has its 1980s and after fire damage structures/layout. 15:35 lol even the jazz music is old. I randomly downloaded this jazz album in 2009. to be fair, it is good jazz which is the reason why kept/saved it until now. 28:11 this is the store location of 2nd ever Cdr-king store in the Ph until they expanded throughout the country and only to be wiped out by online shopping lazada shopee, and that happened even prior the pandemic
the comment fro the Australian is correct....there are no seats spread out in yhe Malls where mallgoers can sit n rest especially the Senior citizens....

One Ayala Mall in Makati inrerconnected to 4 malls inside Makati. Wow
Even if BGC is more modern, I still prefer the Makati CBD malls: more parking, interconnected buildings, old Makati charm. Plus, I worked in Legaspi and Salcedo village before. Thanks!
Absolutely! Makati CBD has its own unique appeal and is our favorite spot in Metro Manila as well!

Thats really intentional. They want you to sit in the food court instead so you will buy food. 😮

Nice and modern bus terminal. Good job Ayala! Your videos are very clear and without those annoying and loud background music. Keep it up!
From my Condo unit at The Proscenium to Power Plant Mall is very accessible to shop we have free service straight to our unit to the Mall

0:38 Beautiful Makati Filipina
Hi. Hopefully u can help spot the Muslim Food Outlet in yr video esp. Mall at Makati. I know there is one somewhere.tq

Actually there are 6 malls interconnected. You forgot to include Rustan's.
One commenter is right, no benches anywhere outside the stores! I'll never set foot in that place that has no regard for the patrons.
Queen Kong Airlines
i have been to all those malls many times its unbelievable how many malls ass to ass
Actually, you forgot to include Rustan"s.
Balaimart Airlines
This what makes Philippines a tough country hindi matitibag! Its local spending makes economy rises.
Di hamak na mas maganda mga malls natin kesa d2 sa north america
In United States especially in California mall is dead is like ghost town … nobody goes to the mall so sad people here go to on-line shopping
what was that line for at 33:50? looks horrible lol
That's the line for the public jeepney. It tends to get really long during rush hour
@@phdotnet888damn that’s crazy long lol thx
🫶🏼🇵🇭
