DIY Slide-Out Bike Rack for two mountain bikes

Simple DIY custom made bike slider tray built for my Mercedes Sprinter van. Can fit up to two 29'' wheel bikes. The sliders can take the weight up to 200kg, so I can use the tray for surfboard or kiteboard equipement storage as well when I don't have my mountain bikes with me. For the winter trips, I will also mount a ski rack above the bike tray, and the bike tray can catch all the water dripping from the skis. It's holding water and has a hole in the bottom and a plug so I can slide the tray out and let the water out of my van.

I am Sandra. In January 2022 I purchased a 2018 Sprinter Van, Sherpa. I am using my stubbornness and drive to show individuals that they, too, can convert a camper van by themselves and on a budget, with a lot of learning, rolling up the sleeves, and getting to work. What kind of ply did you use for the drawer portion- it looks like light weight ? Nice sleek build 👍

I used 15 mm poplar ply boards for the sides and 12mm poplar ply for the bottom of the rack.

The drain hole is just.... Mad... It's going to just drain into the floor of the van now???

well, the drain hole is closed with a plug - you shoul only pull the plug out when the bike rack is pulled out as well.
