I nod in agreement on all of this teaching. It also brings tears to my eyes because we don't have a clear church near us. If it's here we have not found. Calvanism and worship of the well known men who peddle it seeped in and took our church over. We tried to change their minds but we failed so we left. Three years of fellowship and relationships just gone. Most won't talk to us anymore. We never suspected that. We appeared so close. We know this is just a season and are using it to share the gospel and fellowship in our own ways. We can only find churches who swallowed a portion of Calvanism and other works based doctrine, me oriented with, and those who say Jesus was our atonement but isn't God, in this area. We pray constantly for a clear church to present itself. Until then Pastor Cucuzza, Yankee Arnold, and you are our teachers. We feel a bit like missionaries in our own home town. Glad you mentioned taking care who is the influence in a relationship with unbelievers. God showed us that when we moved here 4 years ago. At this time especially it is a neccessary thing to keep in tact. God bless ❤

My wife and I don't try to connect with churchgoers at our new church anymore. Churchgoers don't seem to want to connect outside of their cliques, so it becomes a colossal waste of time. It's interesting that it's actually easier to connect with unbelievers than believers. So now we just go to church to praise God and learn from the lead pastor (he's pretty good).

Cliques are very real in churches today… sorry that’s your case. You definitely have a good attitude, and it’s good you go to learn the word.

@@BibleLineI wonder if it's easier to connect with unbelievers because they're lost and subconsciously looking for hope (and we share the gospel with them), while saved people in church tend to get complacent.
It's also indicative of what's wrong in the church. We see Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses actively promoting their views, but most Christians are doing nada, and it shows.

Love this thank you Jesse. My church (that’s 45 mins away) offers a lot during the week and I think I’m gonna start making the treck out there more often. It’s tough to do this walk without brother and sister help.

Thank you Jesse for another great biblical video! I’m looking forward to watching your video on finding a church. Please pray for me that God helps me find a good, biblical church that doesn’t front-load nor back-load works into the Gospel. Since leaving my former church (which God helped me discern was back-loading works into the Gospel), I’ve been researching and having trouble finding a biblical church that actually preaches/teaches the Gospel. I do believe that over 90% of institutionalized churches out there (in America at least) preach/teach a false gospel of some sort - whether it’s front-loading or back-loading works into the Gospel. I would love to go to church and fellowship with other people who I know are believers ‘cause the Gospel is actually being preached at that church! I know and understand that fellowship doesn’t just mean going to church. It could mean meeting up at a believer’s house, at a coffee shop with other believers, etc. as a way of fellowshipping and growing in each of our relationships with the Lord. Thanks again for this video! God bless you!

Haha I wish I could just move down there in Tampa! I’ll see what the Lord has planned for me, whether it’s to stay where I’m at currently or to move some place else. I’ll continue to pray and see where the Lord leads me to go, including where my next job will be located at, my new living situation, (hopefully) new church and fellowship, etc.. God bless!

The issue with most churches, even the proclaimed "bible believing baptists", are that they are way too corporate. Preaching and idolizing man's religion. For example, most pulpits are hosted by men that emphasize being patriots, political issues, and other secular means that's never been elaborated in the Bible. There's hardly any soul winning, expounding on the gospel, and mostly light unimportant issues being taught, that are plaguing churches today. I'm with you pastor on church-going and fellowship, but I've been to doors and there's saved people out there that's grown tired of the corporate church, full of members that rather small talk and showing their hearts halfway in the world. Church has in recent years become unappealing to those who genuinely want to be faithful to a local church for the sake of sharpening iron with iron, for God's glory.

Press on brother. I know it’s like this is working against you. Others will lump you into a troublemaker or think you are just not trying. They will disregard your comment as if you are the one with the problem. Many don’t want to take on the the organizational methods restricting the body of Christ, especially the one man shepherded model.
It sucks but they either can’t or don’t see and so you must be the bigger man and go and encourage Peace.

I think the church method and I might be wrong but the idea of pastor as the sole authority (1 man show) with yes men is counterproductive to exhorting.
I don’t think I ever heard any church leaders consider that 1 hour of the 1 man standing while everyone else is sitting is not a good method. (Maybe a couple) Instead the leadership will doubly down and say you have to come to all the other get togethers. They will point to all the services, programs, and all the “opportunities”. It seemed to be less about sharing and more about organizing and control.
So I went I did. Decade after decade. I stayed late, went to most everything, doors open I was going. I became an elder. I was told I have to give up my own to do the work of the elder.
Basically all this partially destroyed by family both immediate and my relationship with parents and in laws. It felt like a clique even a cult , it didn’t help we were holiness and believed we could forfeit our salvation.
That being said I still occasionally go to a building with a 1 hr service and purpose to look for more ways to exhort others in Christ.
    Yes I am jaded.
Thank you. I will purpose to go to be a blessing to others.

It’s very sad this happened for you… you’re right that it can often become a one man show. Having a good church structure is important and necessary (if possible). Church should be Christ centric as opposed to the doing of things. I’m glad your attitude is good after the fact and that you try to bless others.

I know it's of topic but I have a friend who recently told me that if you believe jesus paid for all your sins on the cross but if you still feel guilty when you sin (your conscience) and ask god for forgiveness afterwards your not really saved is that true any help would be appreciated.

    • @taylormuse-22
      @taylormuse-22 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

You’re eternally saved the MOMENT you believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay for all of your sins and rose from the dead. Period. Anything after that has to do with the Christian life. Confessing your sins to God isn’t to get your sins forgiven again or to get saved again. It’s to keep your fellowship with God in a right standing.

@@JordanHughes1995 Assurance of salvation comes by taking God at his word and resting in the promises of God.
