It's a pretty neat phone from Nothing. They should focus more on midrange phones like this, before heading for flagship territory.
Good review. To avoid misunderstanding, the frame and back on the Nothing Phone 2a are made of plastic.
Was eagerly waiting for this one. I'm glad y'all like it
Bro needs to start reviewing proteins because his bulking progress is literally impressive, I'm not even paying attention to the phone rn
Beautiful , capable device. Love the White color on the Phone 2a.
i've just got the 12gb model in thailand for around 300$. CRAZY FAST. Amazing low/mid range phone.
Do 12gb matters in today's use case? Or is 8 gb enough?
@@argo12888gb is enough..but it requires the software to be optimized well enough..probably not a problem for nothing since it well specialized is software optimization..better go for 12gb as sometimes even if the software got a problem with optimization..especially during software updates..the amount of RAM will make up for it temporarily..so the software experience still doesn't suffer much..
@@argo1288 go for 12gb. price difference is small
Been waiting for this video review
Damn you must have been pretty bored
@@Fokendran yeah pretty much
Watching this on 2a 🤠🤟🏻
May i play call of duty mobile game 2-3 hour continuously without any lagging and heating issues.
May i play call of duty mobile game 2-3 hour continuously without any lagging and heating issues.
@@jitramsoren3757 if you play on medium settings, it'll supposedly reach 39° by the third hour, but it'll likely be lag free, however i won't confirm it'll be 60fps, for that you may need to play on low - and this is for warzone (new hence less optimized). For the COD mobile, yeah ez pz you can play 3hrs+ at 60fps at around 37-39° without throttling
@@cluealmost thanks for this information.
It still shows the annoying message "processing" after take a picture?
Nice review
One step closer to use 😊
I have the nothing 2a! Love it so far!
May i play call of duty mobile game 2-3 hour continuously without any lagging and heating issues.
@@jitramsoren3757 Yes, no problem. The chip that's being used is performant and efficient.
very nice device! 👍
I am once again asking for a Oppo find x7 ultra video review please GSMarena
There's already one in their website. No video though since it's a China exclusive phone.
@@MomonosukeKozuki yeah I know the written review is there but it's kind of crazy they aren't doing the video, I've imported one to the UK it works amazing and it's the best camera system on a phone right now hardware wise
@@davidbezzant9820if you already bought it, why do you want the review..
Reminds me of the LG G series!
im gonna buy this. Switching from s20fe. Best value for best battery.
Yes
Bruh that's exactly the phone I'm planning to switch to the 2a from. It's my first samsung after a long time of using chinese phones and I hate it.
@@MoonBoomChannel sorry unfortunately i bought OnePlus 12 because i got a good deal. Better chip processor and better battery.
@@riccomori5035 And I actually went with a used Pixel 7. The battery holds very well considering that it has been used for so long.
Get the white one, u wont regret, and if u can wait , they are coming out special edition color, yellow and red
This or poco x6?
No matter the camera or CPU, just regular day to day use
Please do motorola edge 50 pro
AMAZING phone!
maybe a Nothing 2a v. Galaxy A55 comparison vid?😅
Price wise Galaxy A35 is the fair candidate for comparison.
Lmao no need, you can comparate by putting both video and you can see that photos on the A55 are just disgusting compared to the 2a, even the Sony Xperia 10 V do a better job 🤣
The intro is so nothing like..great job
Thank you Always 🙂 God bless
the biggest highlight for me is that unlike most other smartphones especially in this price range; the 2A has the highest *manual* screen display brightness of 660 nits
Someone has been workingout
GSMArena is always the BEST
I think it's worth noting that this is using UFS2.2 storage. So R/W speeds are a little slower.
What would be the main instances where you'll notice this lag, other than file transfers?
Would this affect things like opening more intensive games, like how an SSD > HDD for PC games?
@@glenn.ci also want the answer to this
False.
They have software optimization to have basically the same / exact raw speed of UFS during day of use, they explain that on their channel.
yep opening apps also affected. basically anything that is stored on the phone is affected by ufs 2.2 not just transferring files. @@glenn.c
why is auto brightness always higher than manual brightness?
To conserve battery
auto brightness under direct sunlight ( outdoor)
Manually turning on your brightness above 1000 nits would pretty much blind you.
It doesn't heat as compared to xiome phone
not many updates and kinda dim screen though
I like the Nothing Phone 2a but has some cons.
The body is IP54 rated. The back finish though is not my taste, the flat display is great, battery life is excellent, but no charger in the box.
The camera set-up is best in the class since most midranges have okayish ultawide cam or sometimes mediocre uw cam. But with unfinished
software.
1. you can have trash IP68 (hey S20FE) if the implementation are bad so it doesn't matter that it's IP54.
2. Samsung doesn't put charger in the box too and the charge is just absolutely too SLOW
3. Software...haha...One UI is clearly not better since it draw the battery by a LOT compared to the light Nothing OS, Nothing is not perfect but Samsung is absolutely not perfect.
Worth it to buy this phone nothing phone a2
Yes
wowowow
Bro's getting more jacked every video 😶
For the same money I would get the Poco x6 pro with maxed-out specs
Depends on your use tbh
I'll choose Poco X6 pro too for gaming. Specially for emulation gaming X6 pro is the Champ!!
But as a Xaomi user myself rn. I'm starting to get tired because of the lack luster software support. Always there's an issue whether its cellular reception, volume bugging, dead boot (my friend actually experienced this). I'm willing to give Nothing a try and maybe in the next 5 years i can give you a proper feedback.
Ugly, less software update, trash OS and trash photo, no thanks.
Always found Nothing Phones to be a bit interesting
the entire frame and back are polycarbonate and extremely prone to scratches. I'd suggest that y'all use a case or skin
its 2024 why are we not doing 60fps videos...
love this phone
This phone is a serious kick in the balls.
It has 2160Hz PWM 👌 but UFS 2.2 and LPDDR4X 👎 A55 vs NP2a would be s nice comparison.

Uhmmm it's 50mp not 12.5
I think you shouldn't take same places picture everytime it's getting boring now.
Good phone but my Nothing Phone(1) is more complete. They should have kept UFS3.1 at least.
Mantap
❤❤
too big. i want a phone 6.0" or under.
6 inch is the sweetspot
Me too. But it'll be so hard to find a good 6" phone nowadays.
@@hskdjh421 i don't mind if it's not flagship. Mid range is fine for me.
The only one that comes to mind is the Pixel 7A, and even that is 6.1"
@@slavboii420 yeah i'm up for a new phone next year. hopefully the pixel 8a is still in that region or smaller
Looks like lg g5
my budget doesn’t allow me to buy nothing😅
buy nothing then 😂
Unknown material = plastic.
"Unknown material" it's plastic & known since launch day…

Poco x6 pro has doubled the chip power than this smartphone i am gonna to buy it
Software side MemeUI/HyperBullshit sucks

What is that Car game 🥲🤨
Disappointed with the camera. DON'T UPDATE. I REPEAT. DO NOT UPDATE. Depressed buying this.
argue ????
The price is very something for a nothing phone 💀☕
So late review
Nothing special about this one
Expect the software
And the design is guess
😂😅 are u appreciating or ...?
Except the ugly back
Pun intended? 😅
the back is in fact a sticker hiding the battery, nothing more! how ignorant you are!

He says most of the visible parts are just for show. The "unknown material" on the back that he was referring to was the clear plastic back that's over the stickers.
Great name for this phone, because it looks like......NOTHING!!🙄🙄
Average phone
Screw this. No charger and 45 watt. Stupidity.
Great for people who already have a charger, but for anyone else it's an L 😢
First
A lot hype over this phone it’s only marketing they want to push the sales
We should more talk about the POCO X6 PRO- that’s a steal for its price
Who cares about Chinese bloated OS nowadays?
@@SouravSatvaya millions and millions of buyers who are obviously cleverer 😉
@@goodlife2144 Nah, not clever. Getting ads, bloats and giving data to Chinese OEMs? No thanks.
@@SouravSatvaya Absolutely agree, no one cares about Poco/Xiaomi, their OS are ugly asf mostly "Hyper Os" 🤣
My wife have the MI 13T PRO 5G and it's overrated.
This one is so much better and cost less lmao
@@AquilaeYT Each and every Chinese OEMs make their Android skin to look like iOS, there's no originality, full of unnecessary things, makes it slow on low specs devices. Not a single Chinese OEM has near stock Android experience. OnePlus' OxygenOS had some originality but they also replaced that lightweight OS with heavy, bloated ColorOS. Speaking of Xiaomi's HyperOS, I was really hoping for them to solve the mess which they created over the years, but no, they just made it more iOS clone. There's no way these Chinese OEMs will stop making iOS clones anytime soon.
Pretty dogshit that if you're an American you can expect to pay $70 more for this than a German and you've gotta wait for them to approve you for their developer program.
This phone is mediocre and the performance is inconsistent. It struggles to open apps and animations can hang up often. I hope they can solve these issues with future updates. So far, updates have not made any major improvements.
what else ud recomend in same price race? edge 40? or what?
@@tudor287 Poco X6 pro, Pixel 7a or Edge 30 Fusion
That's weird, I have had no issues with performance on day to day use with this device
@@slavboii420 i got it as well and is insane. i love the os the most. is like android ios lol
@@slavboii420 That's good to hear but unfortunately I still think that this device is sluggish. I returned mine and switched to Poco X6 pro. It's an enormous performance upgrade and costs less.
