Hey Ben it would be great if you could break down that profit between sheep and goats. Maybe include death loss too respectively. Well done!!! I think there’s money there especially if you have an under utilized resource for feed.
If and when you guys want some hair sheep, let me know. I raise St Croix hair sheep in central Texas. Mine are on pasture all years, trained to 1 and 2 poly wires, and we select specifically for parasite resistance and low input producers. I'm not too far from you guys.
loved you guys videos on every thing you show us, do i think your stocker trial was a success? YES SIR I DO! mat not have made any one a millionaire but still i would do it next year again,, thank you guys for showing me it can be done, just like the calves i once done got them in the spring and sold before the winter so i never had to keep any livestock through the coldest parts of the year,, would i try this? you bet your bottom dollar i would! and i plan to this spring
I think the goats used the Sudan more readily. Seemed like the sheep preferred the rye grass, and other weeds that cropped up, but they defiantly ate the Sudan as well, just seemed to use the other stuff first.
@@benhabig5346 I bought a few goats this summer , put them in my pasture and they would only eat the weeds . I was thinking to run sheep in with them to use the grass . ( Mostly fescue ) Thanks and I hope you have a great year .
And I raise sheep and I really enjoy raising them goats not so much LOL have a great day
