- The height, the hands, the speed and the leaping ability are just a few reasons why Brian Billick says Randy Moss is No. 65 on the greatest player of all-time countdown.
His rank on this list is straight disrespectful
Tyrone Brown big time . . Moss is a once in a lifetime player .. easily top 5
Tyrone Brown he is mean XD
Joshua Haynes maybe top 20 player of all time I can’t say he’s top 5 without having a super bowl
I agree, he was second best receiver to Rice all time.
he got to be top 10
Why the hell is Randy Moss only 65?
ikr
I think they put him at a 65 because he didn't win a super bowl
+Harry Roy i say top 30
he's probably only 65 because of some of the bad years he had
because he was lazy and always the loser.
This was the worst rank in the entire series. He's easily top 30. He's a top 3 receiver of all time no doubt.
Well, jerry rice is better
•DontEvenTouchMeh• rice had the greatest QB of all time throwing at him. Moss was genetically more gifted and just as competitive. Rice was consistent and reliable and a freak in his own way, but Moss is the real super freak
top 2.
Why isn't Steve Largent ranked?
indeed
65? are you kiddin me ??? Randy Moss 65?? good joke NFL
fidel moquete yea and t. O. Is #101 🤣
#65 is a travesty on this list.
Y’all realize this list was made in 2010
@@sph2683 he was an all time great before 2010
@Elvir Doko 98% of this list would stay the same if it was redone in 2020.......
This ranking is absolutely blasphemous
Moss should be in the top 30 easy
No, it isn't really. It's not a reflection of the massive talent he had or of what he was capable; it's a measurement of what he EARNED with it compared to what he could have done. I would say it might also have to do with some hard personal feelings in certain quarters, but then Lawrence Taylor is #2 or #3 and he's a walking train wreck so it's hard to know for sure.
kayper54 my bad dude forgot you were with him every day to watch him train. You dont know anything about his work ethic lmao you're outside looking in. Regardless of work ethic, STATS DONT LIE randy is at least a top 25 player
SGS11996
We were ALL "with him" all the time. His work ethic was common, public knowledge, open to anyone who asked and simply listened to the answers... and it was common, public knowledge to be nonexistent. His stats clearly weren't enough, were they? Or he would be ranked higher. People better than you, smarter than you, more important than you, more informed than you, more educated than you -- people like MYSELF, for instance, because I'm clearly better than you in every way -- ALL decided he deserved THIS RANK on THIS LIST. Deal with it. Or don't. I don't care. THIS is what he EARNED, and THIS is what he got.
kayper54 he's way out of rank. I hear what you are saying but you can't dismiss his records and how he changed the game. that is still greatness.
So jerry rice is number 1 and moss gets a slap in the face at 65.... Wow.
Completely disrespectful. If Jerry Rice is #1, Randy Moss is 1A
You realize there are other positions on the field don't you. Moss is not better than every other QB, RB OL,DL, LB, and defensive back that ever played the game. Not even close.
@@xaviervega468 jerry rice is also a wr idiot
@@purpleey rice is superior. better work ethic and superior route runner. dbs back in the day all feared Jerry because his route running was so deadly
@@savagetv6460 ok but why are you telling me
The second greatest WR of all time @65? Lol
Jaccobtw *greatest wr of all time
cat videos FTW that's jerry the goat rice t no. 1
farzinadil yah, jerry rices stickum is no.1
Randy Moss #1
greatest WR
The best deep threat in the history of Football...period.
Period...
+Rick Teasley I want to see how long his mark for touchdowns last for a season.Rice his lasted for 20 plus yrs.
*throat
@Chris Paul false haynes
Otis Taylor
If moss would have had brady for most of his career he would have broken probably all of rices records.
Carlos Salazar he was so much better than Jerry Rice it is laughable to compare the two.
probably not
He was better than Rice IMO. A lot of old heads will most likely tell you different.
Moss has to be one of the most talented athletes ever. His combo of height and speed and leaping ability, and hands are so freaking rare, it's like super elite.
Brandon Johnson Joe Montana.......followed by Steve Young.....followed by Rich Gannon.....3 Qb's in Jerry's ENTIRE career, and all 3 won MVP's WHILE playing with Jerry....Jerry doesn't even understand what bad QB play means....
Moss on the other hand, should I even start the list? He had at least 10 QB's in Minnesota, goes to a real QB and shatters all of Rice's records......don't compare these two, as far as pure receiving goes they DO NOT compare, if you wanna throw a record book at me I will argue that Jerry was by far the luckiest receiver ever, but as far as skills go, Jerry Rice is #4 all-time. Moss, Megatron, TO #3, then Jerry.
Moss was already what like 30 when he joined the Patriots? He already was an aging vet but he could still take the top off a defense and out jump everyone. Just imagine if brady and moss would have been playing on the Patriots in his prime years. No way rices records would have standed a chance.
The best deep threat receiver ever. A top 3 receiver of all time…..and they have him in the 60’s ??
You could argue Randy in his prime with a good qb was the single most terrifying offensive player in NFL history
Nobody is disrespected on this list more than Randy moss. The man was completely unstoppable.
Wtf he's the greatest wide receiver ever behind Jerry Rice, he should be at least a top 15 player of all time.
I would agree but I think because he never won a SB so he didn't get higher on this list I wish he would've won one though with my pats
+JaysKicks I think that's kinda dumb though cause he set so many records
True Thats very true
hahaha Charles woodson got cook
CONGRATULATIONS YOU ARE WRONG
Only at 65?
Wow I want to see the 64 other people that are better than him.
No diss to the GOAT Jerry Rice, but if I had to choose between the two in their prime, Randy Moss all day. I have never seen a player more dominant at that position when they are dialed in.
I second that..and Im a 49er fan
If Moss had the same passion as Rice he would hold all the records.
Sadly, he didn't. I almost wonder if it just came so easy to him he never really developed that drive.
Mostopholes or at least tom brady for his whole career
im a a rice fan, but have to agree here.
Rumble by KO I respect that. Rice is the GOAT because of the work he put in. However dominance, TRUE dominance on the field lies with Moss.
Just trying to figure out why Randy Moss isn't in Madden 16 yet.
Same
They're saving him for madden 17
Been waiting for them to drop him
EA had no rights to use him this year
he better be in Madden 17
#65 what a joke.
I'll give 100 dollars to anyone who can name me 64 players better than Randy Moss...
I'm sayin , maybe 25.
+boblybob74 That's not a bad list. I personally might shuffle the order a bit but not bad for off the top of your head. I still don't think there are 64 players better than moss though. Maybe I'm biased because he was one of my favorites as a kid
Jeremiah Graham Thanks man, but there was no specific order to the list. Just players better than Moss. And yeah I 100% agree that Moss should not be at 65.
joe montana, I will be waiting for my money
Chris Carter
The leading scorer on the two greatest offenses of all time
I'm gonna vomit? The man, the legend, the Assassin Randy Moss is #65 and the 2nd best WR of all time after Jerry Rice and the most dominant NFL player to ever play is at #65. If I chose my ultimate team, Randy Moss would be my #4 selection after Peyton Manning, Jerry Rice, and Walter Payton. NFL Network is retarted. No way in hell is there 64 players better than Randy Moss all time. Super elite.
+Anonymous User I wouldn't choose Tom Terrific over The Sheriff.
+Anonymous User ight
Wait, why is the most dominant NFL player behind Jerry Rice?
There's something called "Defense" which is a critical part of football. It's not just offensive players.
+alexbond45 my bad I should have added my #4 selection on offense. I would definitely choose Lawrence Taylor over Randy on my ultimate team.
If only Brady had Moss longer.
Right
65? No way! Moss is in the top 10.. of all time!!
Not a Moss fan but I believe he is better than Jerry Rice. Jerry Rice had a better career with three rings but had better QB throwing him the ball, Rice had two elite QBs throwing him the ball, all across the board Moss was the better player, just not when it came to accomplishments
maybe because he was about 41 years old? what did miss do with the niners? jackshit
This is a funny list, because in all honesty, MOSS IS # 1 .....PERIOD.
CONGRATULATIONS YOU... ARE.... SUPER... WRONG.
I agree moss is number 1
L rice is 1
+Moist bagels S Rice all da way man.
Basic English bagels your writing 'all da way man'.
The greatest receiver of all time. No other receiver can do what he can do, and he can do everything every other receiver can do and do it better... Without stickum.
Jerry rice is the greatest
+Stev4e897 Jerry Rice used glue to catch the ball
Stev4e897 Fam, he used stickem. He can't be the greatest. That's like Biggie still being considered the greatest, but Nas being his ghost writer.
Troll on brotha
Motoi Pearson lol, right on family. haha
These rankings are SOOOO wack !
He is easily the second best receiver of all-time at 65? How? The 07 Brady-Moss duo was the greatest QB-WR ever.
I remember when I was a kid and whenever someone caught a pass over anyone else they'd say "You just got mossed". Just as embarrassing as getting j'd
Number 65? I'm sleep.
The guy that got me to start watching football ! Thank-you Randy Moss for that !
this was the greatest Receiver i ever seen play !
The Patriots=Cheaters!
Tom Brady*
Cheat cheat cheat
0 Super Bowl wins without cheating
Brady is Eli's play toy, thank God for him
Cheat cheat cheat that's all they do
I love it people are such a bitch about deflate gate they memorize the "facts" and try say every ring is tainted
I Ain't Got No Worries'es Brother look at every team in the NFL
Black Koshinomi Same here dude!
Wtf do the Patriots have to do with Moss illustrious career? That's the most irrelevant reply ever. The comment is about the greatness of Randy Moss.
84 don't stretch!!!! He came out the wound ready!!!
65 is an insult to arguably the 2nd greatest WR in history.top 35 is where he should be. He changed the way D has to play a WR like him. God if he just cut out all the BS around him he would've topped Rice in some categories.
Rice has the resume but talent wise it's not even close,Randy is the most talented wide receiver to ever play in the NFL.
The one handed catch against the dolphins where the has the db trying to pin his arms is unreal. I remember watching it when it happened and being unable to believe someone like this existed
I am a long time die hard Vikings fan; with that being said there is no other wideout ever to be able to do what Randy did. When we drafted Randy I was a young teen and I thought he looked too lean and would get caught eventually and end up broken. Not only was Randy untouchable but he could take a lick like a stocky slot receiver. Greatest of all time.
That speech at the end... Then they go put him in at #65 smh
Randy is simply a joy to watch. Should be ranked higher
Honestly his super freaky combination of hands, speed, leaping ability, and height is probably the best the game has ever seen put together. He is by far the 2nd best WR of all time and should be much higher than #65. I have yet to see anyone even come close to his deep threat ability at his absolute prime.
"Throw it up above his head, these dude's can't jump with me....... No really, I'm not being cocky. I'm not being arrogant. I'm actually that good. For real." -Randy Moss
The chances of there being 64 players in NFL history who were better than Randy Moss are about as good as there being 20 players in the '98 NFL draft who were actually better than him.
William Clark Lawrence taylor
Randy Moss Is The Greatest Wr Of All Time . If Only If He Had Better QB!. We Will Forever Use This Catch Phrase " You Got Mossed "
Thanks For The Years Randy
Only if the Brady moss duo could've been longer...
Moss was completely unstoppable with Brady. Even Brady was pissed when he got traded.
Joshua McRae 07 patriots was the best team ive ever seen period and i hate the patriots.. brady to moss was unfair .. them deep catches moss had against miami in 07 is 2 of the best catches ive prob ever seen
I can't even think of 30 guys off the top of my head better than moss so 65 is impossible
Randy Moss was the Greatest WR I've ever watched. Master of one hand catches and was by far the most explosive WR of All-Time!
Imagine Brady and moss playing together their entire careers
Absolutely top 15 player of All Time, & I’d argue top 10. There have been a lot of good ones but you will never see a talent, threat, athlete, player such as Randy Moss. Made my childhood special. Absolutely UNGUARDABLE
This ranking is *EXTREMELY* disrespectful to Moss as he should be top 25 and why on earth was Terrell Owens not even ranked?!?!?!?!?
Randy moss is the best
Randy Moss>Jerry Rice
Barry Sanders>Emmit Smith
Dan Marino>Tom Brady
lol
Archer Spillow Goes to show, just because you achieve rings with a great team, doesn't mean you are a better player than players without a ring.
greg trust Jerry is a better player because he's better in every way
Archer Spillow Jerry was hands down one of the greatest receivers ever with one of the best work ethics ever. He was great, but I think talent wise Moss was better, faster, stronger, and just athletic freak of nature compared to Rice.
greg trust but he has worse stats in NEARLY every way
top 10 I'm a eighties baby
The rankings are trash... Terrell Owens got screwed. He was a better Receiver than Moss and was the best receiver on the field in Superbowl 39 whilst injured. I guarantee if Owens had Brady for a QB his numbers would be ugly... Video game numbers. Probably northward of 30 TDs and 1800 yards. Warren Sapp (best player/most valuable on the Superbowl Bucs) was left off the list but Brooks, great player don't get me wrong but not as valuable as Sapp. Tarkenton on the list but not Largent. Just a bunch of bias and no statistical numbers to back up claims. Sapp is easily the best defensive lineman of the 2000s. If Owens wasn't as hated as Iverson (NBA) he would probably be the greatest of all time. Instead he went to several different teams, during his prime, never got settled and still had amazing numbers in drastically different offenses. You can put this man on the Special Teams and he'd still get HOF numbers.
What if Brady had both T.O. And moss. Jeez, Brady would have like 600+ td and both Terrell and randy would have like 170+ a piece. Add that to multiple Super Bowl rings
Heisenberg-SchrodingerEmc2 Moss was TRASH in the Superbowl, T.O. was the best in the Superbowl.... T.O. > Moss by a long shot.
The Cover 2 WAS NOT INVENTED FOR MOSS. It was invented in 70's by Bud Carson with the Pittsburgh Steelers when Moss was still in friggin diapers.
But he's better than Rice. Man, millenials have got to be some of the dumbest collection of people ever. It's like we're devolving. "Stickum!". How about 'quitter'? 'Big game no show'? 'Non blocker'? 'Two route runner'? Again and for the last time, the only historical comparison for Randy Moss is with Terrell Owens. Jerry Rice is on his own plateau in NFL history. If you're under 25 and didn't get to see him play, well that's your fault. Moss quit in Minnesota. Quit in Oakland. Got cut from a Super Bowl contending team in New England. Languished on the bench in Tennessee and then had lesser numbers on a Super Bowl appearing 49ers team than Jerry Rice did at 41. Stop it. Jerry Rice's 49er career ALONE > Randy Moss. You add what he did in Oakland, it's not even fair.
people like you base your entire point of view on what you hear from the media. your circle of info is so limited that its sometimes humorous to read or listen to you. randy moss has something like 980+ receptions and out of those, 750 + were 20 yards or less.....70+ were for 40 yards or more. Do you understand what that means? it means that 7-8% of his receptions were over 20 yards. Saying he runs 2 routes only is not based on reality and is more proof that people like you will believe anything you hear.
also, the idea that he doesn't block or quits etc is equally false. jerry rice has actually complained when his team wins simply because he wasnt getting the ball as much as he'd like. moss has welcomed the idea of being a decoy, while rice has complained every opportunity hes gotten. the most famous being the game where a tight end caught a game winning td and rice was seen and heard on the sideline yelling "i aint no motherf***ing decoy" while kicking over a gatorade bucket....and thats not the first time
Jerry Rice put up 1200 yards receiving in Oakland at 40 . That alone should put this comparison to rest.
Don't forget "playoff choker" Got shutdown by Jason Sehorn in the 2000 NFC Championship.
Randy Moss is the greatest receiver of all time! No stickum=no tainted legacy
The crazy thing about the gifted R.Moss is ,he accomplished all that & he wasn't even trying. If Moss had J.Rice work ethic smh he would've smashed the record book from top to bottom with at least a ring or 2.
I remember after his rookie year the whole NFC Central drafted DBs in the first round just to deal with him.Greatest WR to ever play the game.
Most dominant reciever (when he wanted to be) that I've watched
ego kept him from being the goat. easily coulda been better than rice
He was better than Rice.
Rice had Steve Young, Joe Montana, and stick-um lol
Dylan no, having shitty QBs for most of career kept him away from breaking records.
+Dylan Bad QBs kept him from being the goat.
+darthrevan6 he STILL broke records
darthrevan6 The Oakland Raiders kept him from being the GOAT
@3:52 dude blew out his own team mate lol.
Moss>Rice
Tedd Ginn > moss
Vince Wilfork as a WR>Moss and Rice
Limas Sweed>all other receivers
Anyone in the NFL > Jeff Demps
Randy Moss. I remember watching him at 8 yrs old when he came into the league. There have been men; Fitzgerald, Calvin & A. Johnson, A. Green, Julio Jones, etc ... Men who are great receivers, but NONE of which in my opinion who possessed ALL of the traits that #84 had. Not only could he run but his ability to catch the ball was superior. & his preeminence shouldn't be ignored too. He would break u. My all-time fav (If only he had his mind right his entire career, I think we all know he would have EVERY rec record)
Still getting stiffed by the men in suits, straight cash homie is a top 20 player
Randy moss should be on madden 15 ultimate team.
65??? This list was definitely made by a Packers fan
PSG Wrigglee packer fan here.. Hes top 5
Whenever I hear people argue about Randy Moss and Jerry Rice, I sit there listening.
When they are done, I ask
Who was Jerry Rice's quarterbacks? Most reply Joe Montana and Steve Young.
Then I ask, Who was Randy Moss's quarterbacks?
Most reply Tom Brady
When I say Moss had Brady for barely three seasons, who were his other quarterbacks?
I get back silence.
That silence should say it all to who is better between these 2 men.
Culpeper and Cunningham weren't exactly slouches, they were pretty good qb's.
Too bad thats a lame ass excuse and literally only 1 facet of the game 😂😂. You act like Rice never had other receivers.
Let me know when rice takes plays off like moss 😂😂😂.
Take Jerry Rice from those two what do you get ? Neither went to the super bowl without rice . Rice went to the super bowl with out them
Jerry the GOAT then you can start a count down.
His rank and Steve Young's rank are miscarriages of justice.
Never seen a more talented football player ever. He could have come in from high school and dominated the NFL based on natural ability. Just a different athlete gifted with almost everything he needed to succeed.
Exactly. Him and Adrian peterson could've gone straight from HS to the NFL.
Psalms 119:46
I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.
2:37 That sums Moss up in one dialogue.
He should be in the 20’s 65 is just disrespectful
He had it all. Blazing speed, long reach, great route running, able to make tacklers miss, phenomenal hands, blocking ability. He was A+ across the board. Top 50 overall at min. Maybe even top 25. He was an athletic freak for crying out loud!
like literally, this guy is the only reason I would run home to make 4:30 PST espn primetime. randy moss highlights every single week without fail.
Randy Moss was much better than Jerry Rice
Better at quitting on his teammates
Better at running shitty routes
Better at getting alligator arms over the middle
Better at choking in the playoffs
Better at making excuses.
Xavier Vega You do realize Jerry Rice cheated and admitted to using stickum and other illegal substances to catch balls right?? Lmao Moss all day and every day. Have a glass of Haterade and shut your mouth
Matt Law More excuses, That's all Moss supporters have in their arguments.
Or they'll talk about Moss's height, 40 time, and vertical time. Those things don't mean squat. It's what you DO with all your talent that counts. And Moss's career accomplishments don't nearly measure up.
Xavier Vega Moss the Goat
Jerry rice couldn’t even do something like MOSS. The NFL gotta be trippin bruh C’mon Man!
that speech at 1:50....
How is jerry rice #1 but randy moss. Who is stats wise right behind him, ranked #65?
The GOAT, so sad that he never got his ring
Randy should be in the 10s
Could be the greatest wide-receiver of all-time! I, personally, have Randy at #2 behind only Jerry Rice, who I have at the top, in spite of his recent-admission of having used stick'em during his career.
Stickum doesn't run routes
But it does help catch the balls .nits like bonds and roids
Jayden Taylor Bruh, the stickum back then is like the gloves receivers use today so stfu lol
Frank Gore nah with stickum you can't really drop balls if you tried.
jaquan541 yes they are, try pro gloves please
I'd just rage when my friend would throw jump balls in Madden to Randy Moss. It was unfair.. Randy Moss was a freakin' cheat code/game shark in the game and in real life. 🤣
beast.
Left this like and just want to say you are one of my favorite you tubers of all time.
greatness is all about what you DID DO, and has nothing to do with what you probably should have been able to do. moss had a shortened career, not because he wanted to retire then,, but because ZERO NFL teams wanted the proven loser.
Randy moss is probably the most talented wide recieved ever (yes even more than rice). However with that being said Rice had a better career and had better qb's than moss ever did. For that reason id take Rice #1 but Moss is a close second
Lmao Moss isn't that talented. Calvin Johnson is a better and bigger version of Moss except Johnson doesn't have rings cause he wasted his career with the Lions.
+Jimmy Googer moss isn't what?
Moss doesn't have a ring as well. Moss was the type of player that only made his QB better- not his team better. That's the biggest difference between him and Rice.
Rice had two of the best QBs ever throwing to him for most of his career. You put Moss in that same situation and there is no comparison.
+vicarious8989 wtf are you talking about. Moss had Brady, Culpepper, and Johnson throwing to him for good portion of his career. Please stop comparing Moss and Rice. It's a useless argument.
Moss was that EXTREMELY rare WR where the ball just seemed to find him. It's weird and unbelievable! That football was like a heavy magnet and Randy Moss was like cold blue steel!!!
65... for the greatest wr of all time... 65
and if you say Jerry rice.. he used stickum on his gloves
65?? LOL ridiculous Greatest WR ever
Randy was unapologetically black, thats why he is 65
This is probably the best description and analysis of Moss that I've ever heard.
Randy moss #1
INDEED THA GOAT #84 MOSS
No.
Randy Moss is the most physically gifted player I have ever seen
Never has a nickname been more appropriate, the “super freak” because well like he said he was a freak of nature
Randy Moss is the best wide receiver of all time. Nobody was, is and will be like Randy Moss, Period....
Cliff Branch is GOAT
HIPPYdaHIPSTER productions Drugos
Rice might be better, but if you gave me 4th and 5 at the 40, 2 seconds left and one hail mary, I’ll take Moss any day.
If someone put Moss at number five they would REALLY have to convince me about the other four, but I'd at least hear them out. This is total and utter horseshit.
Imagine how much hardware Moss would have, how many records, if he'd had the kind of teammates that Rice had throughout his career. I'm not saying he has Jerry's work-ethic, but Randy spent a lot of years making a lot of middling quarterbacks look good: Kerry Collins, Andrew Walter, Aaron Brooks, Brad Johnson, Daunte Culpepper, Matt Cassel, Jeff George.
#65? Perhaps the greatest receiver ever? I guess the powers that be in the NFL don’t like big personalities.
This is a terrible rank. Wow. He’s so much higher than this.
I can’t think of any one better than moss. Randy moss> jerry rice. 65 why nfl.
So is he 6th or 5th?
The way he's nodding his head at 1:55 tells you all you need to know about Randy Moss. As long as he had teammates and coaches around him who believed in him, that team was going to be competitive.
#65??? Should be more like in the top 10 ever! He did things that not even Jerry Rice could do, and I'm saying that as a 49ers fan...not saying he was better than Jerry Rice, but in terms of pure talent, I don't think there's ever been a more naturally gifted WR out there than Randy Moss.
