  • Hello,
--Please view the entire video before attempting repair--
This video shows how to replace a cracked glass (digitizer) on the ipod nano 7th and 8th gen. This procedure is fairly simple but is tedious due to the size of the device, pay close attention to the internal cables as they can break easily.
    Tools needed:
-Thin metal pry tool (I used a dull razor blade)
    -Plastic Pry tool
    -Size 00 phillips screwdriver
    -Replacement glass digitizer
-Liquid glue (you can use thin double sided tape)

Thank you SO much for showing in detail how to deal with the home button and folding the ribbon cables on the digitizer. I ruined my first replacement screen tearing the cable fooling with it. I watched 3 other videos before my 1st attempt and all of them gloss right over this VERY important part.

Followed this video, I have successfully replaced the touch screen. The touch screen dropped off before the LCD/battery actually. So it can be tricky to take LCD/battery out without damaging the cables for me. Thank you very much!

Wish I'd seen this before using another video! It looks like I damaged the LCD trying to mash the parts back in. Am I screwed or can I just get replace the LCD? The screen is now white with some greyish black at the bottom for reference

Sounds like the lcd broke, double check the cables and connectors, if they look good then replace the lcd. Costs about $10

Thanks for your video. I fixed my daughter's iphone screen and I still have some of those tools that came with the screen. Would these work?

Hello two years ago you published a video on how to replace the top screen for a nintendo ds lite. I need to know how to replace the touch screen of a ds lite it would help if you could make a video or direct me to where I can find how to do it. I have faith in your videos and they have helped me in the past. Thank you for the work you do.
