It’s is a fact that the Warriors had the most injuries this season. Though I believe they had the most last year too. It definitely impacts on performance when you have a different spine every week. Not excuses, just the reality we don’t have the depth we need to be a serious contender. That isn’t something you can fix overnight. I’m as frustrated as anyone but I also know how long it takes to turn around an underperforming organization so I’m probably more patient than many. It will take 2-3 more years to weed out the old school culture and develop a truly high performance culture. That said, I don’t wonder how much our assistants challenge Webby on his thinking? I wouldn’t mind if we brought in an experience 1st grade coach as an assistant, someone who will challenge and mentor Webby. We had injuries but look at the Storm, Rabbitohs, Sea Eagles and Eels who had the highest injury tolls this year with major players out. Then look at the next tier of teams - Broncos, Bulldogs, Raiders, Dolphins and Warriors. Your just using excuses for player performing poor.
Its laughable you make a fictitious story line about teams working out our reserve graders. We will never know because they won the games they were selected for and then Webster replaced them with under-performing senior players. People like you are addicted to the Warriors losing and under performing players so you protect them. What would Craig Bellamy or Wayne Bennet do with these players??????
This season is a disaster and New Zealand needs to get a 2nd NRL team ASAP. I assure you that it will force the Warriors to improve because the southerners, especially out of Canterbury know how to build winning champion sides. I think the Warriors management know and fear this.
This team has not functioned or improved this year. Webster has been inept at getting the players to perform. NO MORE EXCUSES!! Every team has injuries but with 2024 NRL on the line the Warriors got smashed by the poorly Eels AT HOME who had not won in the last 6 games. SOMETHING IS SERIOUSLY WRONG!!!
Love the passion but I can’t agree with it all and I’m not going to judge Webby until I see what action he takes at the end of this year in terms of roster.
As far as giving up on them, I couldn’t follow another Kiwi team after putting over half my life into the Warriors. I’d cheer them on against other teams, but the Warriors will be my team til the end of my days
