I agree with you, fifth place sounds about right, excellent team on paper if we can sort out the clunky attack we will beat anyone in the comp plus no one in Aussie expecting the warriors to do anything this year just like 2023
Bold Predictions indeed Zane. Can’t wait for the season to start. Bolters in or near the bottom of the 8 Tigers if they can perform in the spine & keep politics out of club affairs
@@jerrybow8779 if we play to our potential we are more than capable with the squad we have but if we start switching off like we did last year it could be messy
Question. Last year we lost so many games because we couldn't do a drop kick play. ie get 40 to 50 meters and give the kicker good field position. Has this changed with the new players?
Yes, Tanah Boyde can kick them, as well as being one of the highest percentage goal kickers in the comp. But, I'm more concerned that we actually avoid those tight games to begin with by being a heck of a lot better at taking our opportunities earlier in the game.
The table is tough to say - so much depends on whether star players/signings get injured - so i agree our depth is crucial as long as the entire squad have cohesion and everyone buys in and takes individual commitment and dedication. So i'll agree that we will make the 8. My top back - Ali Leiataua My top forward - Mitch Barnett
Yeah picking the Top 8 in order is like winning lotto. Injuries, unexpected high performing teams, unexpected low performing teams so many factors, but fun to take a shot at it. Hope Ali gets solid game time, I worry they'll play Charnze ahead of him at center.
Hope Zyon Miau'u, & Leka Halasima get way more playing time. They are units that are athletic and can break the line. I feel Niukore & Walker for that matter make way too many errors. If they put RTS as centre again it will be awful. I guess they might put him as FB or wing. CNK can be centre.
You have to be realistic. Set reasonable expectations so you don't become too disappointed. I don't see a single position where we are better than last year. Now Harris is gone. We will be in the 12-17 range unfortunately. We do have a potentially favourable draw. Depth helps with the grind, mid season, but its top tier players that win the critical matches through the year. Sorry to be a sad sack. I would have been super excited if we'd had JFH and AFB....but we don't.
Positivity personified.. i love it💪🏼 Yep agree we're defo top 8 capable & maybe not so much the hunted as per last season BUT our travel load.. circa @ 75k compared to dogs at 15 odd.. club must be much smarter re injury management, like you say we have depth so trust em instead of flogging & pushing injured guys over the edge. Am sure lessons learnt across the club 🤞🏼.. if so: Top 6.. (due to the Gus influence, as per 24). Hope they consider parking up in Qland for that tough 3 run stretch, make it a mini camp cos 6 f'n trans Tasman hops .. esp the 3 post gamers is cruel. If not trust & use the squad. Tell ya a thing i love about our new recruits.. Erin.C, Sam.H & Boyd, they are great trainers.. they're gonna raise the bar which is gonna benefit the whole joint & expecting likes of Marata, Zyon & Tom to benefit bigtime. If CNK can be that defensive behemoth at left center & stay fit then skys the limit. Top 8.. am basing alot of this on the mngt teams & not in order: Panthers, Storm, Dogs, Sharks, Souths, Warriors, Manly, Cows or Dolphins.. the Wolf effect. Tough as hell to predict! Yes we can🙏🏼
Yeah I can't comprehend why the Warriors actually put their hands up for Vegas...well other than for the money. Why would you add that travel to an already ridiculous schedule. I love the fact that the rugby league world thinks we'll be shit this year so we don't have the same weight of expectation as last year. Really curious to see how things go in the Pre Season Challenge
@thewarriorholic Yep guess the marketing dept won that one, maybe thought best get it done with early & be interesting to see if the NRL extend the 5 yr deal. Hope Bunts is tracking ok & gets a good shot pre season challenge, reckon his granite D on the tight Vegas field will suit & let the old horse show the way (& alleviate my fears re a bad injury to say maybe an under prepped JFH) & keep the 🍾 on ice.. we gotta box smarter this year re squad use. .. man wish we were playing the Bronx up there, rd1 in them close 1/4's , suffocate RW lol. a lot of pressure on them broncos.. big ✊🏼 for Madge but geez ?
Bold predictions: Warriors to make the top 6, 5th or 6th. Back of the year: Ali Liataua Forward: Nuikore (think this will be a massive year for Marata) Newbie: JFH (cope out I know) My top 8 Storm Roosters Panthers Broncos Warriors Sea Eagles Rabbitohs Knights close year for Bulldogs, Sharks and Cowboys
Interesting, I really hope you're right about Marata. After his quiet year in 2024 he needs to step up to justify that massive salary and keep the young guns out.
@@thewarriorholic Just think, if used correctly without other squad injuries, He can develop into one role and focus on that, even if its a bench prop coming on to bend the middle and allow Metcalf and whoever time to work some magic. As always love your work!
We actually have a decent roster with real depth - Head coach is great but questions over his assistants still linger. Boyd who has a very good kicking game which most under rate like Metcalf has come to the club with a point to prove so expect big seasons from both. Bolter for me is young hooker Healey. He should get a shot when Egan goes down and will be hard to drop if he plays to his potential. If Boyd and Metcalf "click" and stay healthy we can finish around 5th or 6th however for a team that travels far more than any other adding 20 thousand kms of travel to Vegas into the legs of players in the first week may take a toll as the long NRL season wears on. One thing for sure if we finish 10th or lower the heat will really come on Webster.
I believe that there is no one who is better that the warriors can get Sign him longterm at least 5 years and give him time to develop our juniors Having read Ivan Cleary’s book I believe this is the answer . His book is very insightful
We didn't make top 8 last year because we simply couldn't finsh our sets and Johnson's kicking game was rubbish. With our new halves anything could be possible 🤷🏽. I'm gonna say we finsh in 6th place ❤️💙💚.
Mmmm not really. Tohu's lacking in speed and out of his physical prime. Dylan Walker for me is a great replacement for Tohu. Especially because he has the halves skills to set people up. We have loads of young talent coming through, we just need our older ones to step up. Ofc I love Tohu to bits. His defence, attack and being able to set people up was amazing and that's why Johnson and Tohu carried us to the 2023 semi final season. He's way to injury prone and needs to hang the boots ❤💚💙.
@@calebedw4rds not unless someone unexpectedly comes onto the market. I believe they would have been expecting this so they would have recruited someone by now if they thought there was someone decent out there
Wahs fans are actually delusional aye 😂 you guys won't be anywhere near the top 8. Top 4 will be the same as last year except for the roosters. If anyone is to take the roosters place, it aint the 2 you picked. Bulldogs are the most likely to take that last top 4 spot. Wahs will be lucky to finish 10th.
@thewarriorholic well I just gave you my top 4. The remaining 4 will most likely be Manly, Dragons, Broncos and (Hot Take) The Tigers in any order you like. Tigers lacked leadership, discipline and accountability. They have that in droves now with their new additions especially Luai. Rabbitohs and Roosters have lost so much experience in their teams. @jackohere1878 Hey, we all thought doggies would finish nowhere near the top 8 last year. All they did was add a leader in Critta to the roster, and look at how big of a difference it made. Tigers now have a 4x premiership winner and leader in Luai, plus all the other signings for this season as well. They will pinch that 8 spot for me
