When my Mom passed in 2020 I took all the wooden thread spools from her sewing basket and made a heart shaped wreath . I used a solid wood heart and applied the vintage thread spools . 💚 Thank you CLL for showing and purchasing the wreath … 💚
My condolences. I feel you. I lost ALL my moms (Not at the same time. I don't have any moms left. Just Aunts. Mom to Ovarian C. Great grand to Breast C. Grand to OTHER reason) I still have photos.
That McCoy bowl is just showing it's antique age. Lots of collectors for those early green pottery bowls. The crack happened at the time of firing. I have that exact same bowl and it's got the same kind of glaze cracks, only they're not really cracks.
How do I said that for ages you know also I’d like to know you know sometimes I can’t see clearly so I’d like to see what she got in the car anyway yeah I think that’s a great idea my second the motion
This is just a thought but maybe have a section in niknax for chipped, cracked items that resellers love and want to find a home for them rather than the item going to the dump. Not an area to make a huge profit but at least make enough for the cost of item and shipping etc. I'm not sure it would be worth it for resellers but this thought just ran through my head. I don't mind chips or cracks in items that I have, as long as, I can hide the issue in the back where no one sees it and only I know it's there.
The metallic straws you picked are called "bombillas"and are part of the yerba mate tea that is drank in Argentina,Uruguay,Chile,Paraguay and Brasil. One of those was curved. There're different kinds. They served to sip the tea...which is great!😁🧉❤
The weird straw looking thing are called bombilla they are for drinking tea made with loose leaves they strain out the tea leaves or herb leaves when you drink from them.
Oh oh oh the fish you found at 16:50 are so great! I have the whole family(mom dad brother sister) and a matching planter that are painted blue in my shop. I think they are hobbyist pieces(at least mine are). Very Very Cute! and they look great with the wall mermaids of that same era. Great price you found them at too- I'd have taken all 3 if they were in good condition. People have repainted these guys so many ways just to match their aesthetic. Lots of examples online. Nice find!!
You should add to the end of the video what was inside the bags when you pick them up. It's hard to make out sometimes what you're referring to in the bags and I'm curious what else is in the bags.
I have the lonely friend for the Siamese cat bookend :P YumYum sits next to my "The Cat Who" mystery books in the familyroom. I just need to find Koko LOL!
^5 on the thread spool wreath. Someone made use of old quilter leftovers. The thread, especially silk, can be rotten/fragile, but the wood spools are very sturdy indeed.
I’ve been waiting for you to find Denby! I grew up with echo as a child and now have ode for my everyday dinnerware. Thank you for taking us on your treasure hunt.💚🧡
It's so sad that they put breakables in the baggies, what a waste of time putting them in there when there is so much more non-breakable items they could put in there.
I believe the silver straws were for like making coffee like when camping or whatnot and not have to worry about the coffee grinds . You can just use hot water and a coffee mug and have coffee. Use the straw to drink the coffee. 🤗☕
Those red and yellow print glasses are pretty old. They came with jelly in them. My grandmother had so many pieces she gave her 3 daughters in law sets of eight. I love them! Thanks for the memories!❤
Love the wreath too. I just have to say I thought you were going to say "I'll have to glue down some of those spools. They are hanging on by a THREAD." Missed opportunity to be punny.
That was no way the duke. It was Wyatt Earp missing his hat and horse. Way before your time. My boys had all the old tv western heroes. They were made by the Hartland co. They’re worth a lot of money now if you find them complete.
Wow the music was so loud today! It must be super irritating. However as usual you were so funny and made me laugh out loud when you saw the Christmas display in the 3rd goodwill. Loved the black clay angel candle holders 🎉
Wow,the music was loud in the second Goodwill..🤪but what was funny, the song you heard in the first Goodwill, continued in the second one!💁🏻♀️😂You had me in stitches, when you put the guy on the elephant and said..and they ride together into the sunset..🤣🌄 I love the baggies but it makes me sad when I see so many broken things in it..😢

I saw your posting in Facebook that brought me to finish watching the video.
That wreath is fantastic
I love it too CLL ❤️
@@tammydelorenzo2567 another great idea! I think my granddaughters would love that. Thanks 😊
I put my great grandma's in a clear small lamp base. The kind that looks like a jar.
I keep it on the sewing table I have that was hers 😊

I think you should do a video of you showing us what's in the baggies or even add to the end of some of your videos
I absolutely agree!
How do I said that for ages you know also I’d like to know you know sometimes I can’t see clearly so I’d like to see what she got in the car anyway yeah I think that’s a great idea my second the motion
Yes! The bottom and top thing (at the end) confused me because I couldn’t hear what it was and couldn’t see it.
I thought the same thing!
We can see what's in the baggies while she's looking at them
I agree, that thread spool wreath was just the BEST!

Hello from Germany! Eisch is a German company, located in Bavaria. They are making glas since 300 years.
Love your Goodwill episodes. 😊❤

Love that spool wreath. Glad you bought it
Made me snicker! It’s fun when you can put the pieces together, I liked the wreath too. Good job!
Can you show me what you were so excited about at the end, with the baggies? The xmas ornaments or something?
It’s a harmony kingdoms trinket box. It’s not that epic, but it was fun to find the lid and the base.
I wonder if it was "staged"! 😂@@CrazyLampLady
The weird straw looking thing are called bombilla they are for drinking tea made with loose leaves they strain out the tea leaves or herb leaves when you drink from them.
The spool wreath is epic! I’d love something like that!
Wow! I’d complain about that music if I was shopping there. John Wayne riding the elephant like in Hatari! 😅😂
Yep, I'd be telling them to turn it down.
That spool wreath was so cool! I think of a few ppl that would love that.

That red tin you passed up was vintage Ohio made. Super cute and worth some money .
You are just lovely. I always enjoy your videos. As someone who recently started a thrifting TH-cam channel, you are inspiring. Keep at it!
I've watched your videos before and didn't realize I hadn't subscribed. Subscribing now.
It’s wild they were playing the same song at two different goodwills as soon as you leave one and go to the other😂
It’s literally the Goodwill soundtrack. 😂
Ours always plays jellyroll
You should add to the end of the video what was inside the bags when you pick them up. It's hard to make out sometimes what you're referring to in the bags and I'm curious what else is in the bags.
Yeah we get a quick glimpse
I can’t really see what’s in them
I died laughing when you put the guy on the elephant. It's giving "The Greatest Showman" now lol...
I have the lonely friend for the Siamese cat bookend :P YumYum sits next to my "The Cat Who" mystery books in the familyroom. I just need to find Koko LOL!
She bought "Koko" so keep an eye out on niknax for him to show up
Yes keep the thread wreath it is awesome.
OMG I loved the spool wreath, what a great find!!!!
^5 on the thread spool wreath. Someone made use of old quilter leftovers. The thread, especially silk, can be rotten/fragile, but the wood spools are very sturdy indeed.
So some of those spools were hanging on by a thread? 😂😂 I couldn’t resists lol
😂
I said the same thing. Jynx. You owe me a coke.
😂😂

Yes, that's bc they are lazy 🦥😔
I would dearly love the wreath, made with vintage cotton reels❤
Love how you say the holiday just threw up
Om
Really enjoyed you sharing your thrifting! Wealth is soooooooo good and unique! Ty❤❤❤
I really enjoyed seeing Lauren in your video I watched last night....she is really growing......and she was very, very busy.....so sweet.....
It's Laurel, not Lauren..😊
Elvis was the King but that looked like John Wayne, The Duke. 😊
Actually he looks like the guy from the old tv show
Wild Wild West. 1960 or so.?
I have a lot of wooden spools and Now I know what to do with them! Awesome ❤
I made a lamp with mine .A clear ginger jar base and I covered lampshade with old buttons .It turned out really cute. I think the wreath is great too
@Opticaldelusionist wow, another awesome idea, thanks 😊
The Vintage Holt Howard S&P even with the paint missing should be $35-$40 for the set. As long as there aren't chips or cracks.
I don’t think so. In good condition you can get them between $35 and $50
In Texas the $$ are much higher for HH
@@kjfiducia9032 I was talking about online pricing. It’s definitely gone down this year
those spoon type things that you put back are for turkish coffee;)
I believe the silver straws were for like making coffee like when camping or whatnot and not have to worry about the coffee grinds . You can just use hot water and a coffee mug and have coffee. Use the straw to drink the coffee. 🤗☕
That wreath is fantastic!

The angel is holding a burrito.
I don’t think you’re wrong.
Those old wooden thread spools are at least 60 years old. I still have a few inherited from my mother.
Morning Jocelyn it’s 4 am can’t sleep ❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Love that milkglass laced bowl.
Love the wreath ❤
ahhh the clear glass- there's gold in there! I just sold a clear glass vase for $85 😸
Love, love, lov3 that spool wreath!🧵🧵🧵
I have found F&F intact so many times, my favorite thing is a colander with an under plate, with berries on them.

Those silver looking things are from Bolivia for mata tea
I miss seeing Andrew popping into your videos. ❤
King, Prince then “The Duke”.

Dang, you missed that Tiki Bob at 14:55. Worth between $200-$400.
Do you mean the orange and white thing? Was Tiki Bob a Tiki bar?
Correct
Had to Google that. How adorable are those? 😃
I saw that surprised she didn’t
Wow, thanks - I looked it up and learned something! Worth going back for at that price - assuming it is a original. Were they reproduced?
I love the spool wreath too!!!
Oh my I love ❤the wreath hun. 😂 thoughts of sewing as a child with my mom's treddle sewing machine.
Is that pendant Orient & Flume? Gorgeous!
It’s Lundberg. 😊
I spotted that pendant in the last video too. Such fine glass.
Those little dogs are adorable ! Love that style.
The straws are Yerba Mate straws
8:07 on the right the pottery bowl with the ‘spike ‘ in the middle anyone know what that is? I see the all the time.
11:17 they or from the 40s possibly Ohio Art? Yes the epitome of kitch
The wreath was the best. 😊

Pour spouts. Missing corks!

My friend gave me wood spools with spring colors. There in a jar now but a wreath is in the plans.❤
Hey there Jocelyn ❤😊
I think it's funny that you left one Goodwill playing a song and then when you got to the other Goodwill they were playing the same song. :D

😂 Winner.
That brass duck is definitely in a mood - and not a good one! 🦆
Yerba matte straws
Not every piece of pottery you find is McCoy. They have a very specific mark on the bottom
Yes, but the shield is Nelson McCoy. Am I wrong?
Great commercial!
