Woah guys I have a kinda long emotional response to this video. This was one of the best discussions about photography and about life that I've ever heard/seen. Like a rollercoaster of personal emotions for me...it was funny, nostalgic, heartwarming, and it just hit something in me personally and just reassuring me that its never too late to start and I love and appreciate you guys so much. All of this time what's been holding me back the most is my mindset. I'm 36 and I've always thought, "am I too old to do this photography thing?". All you guys are in your 20's and I wish I would have started earlier but I'm glad of the reassurance that later is better than never.Family Photography is my jam and I love it and I've always wanted to start my business in that realm and I've been holding myself back because of what people might think and fear but no longer...so thank you guys so so so much. And if I fall on my face then now I know what not to do and just to keep trying. Cuz fear will get in the way of your dreams. And its okay to fail because that's how you grow and that's how you learn.I know I'm getting all sappy and emotional haha sorry for that lol. Im really big on relationships which is why I engage so much because those things are very important to me and that near and dear to my heart and something I'm very passionate about and just being a good person. To my core I wanna be known not only as a photographer but just a good person, that will always hold value to me. Ive never shared any of this with anyone but you guys make it so easy to get all sentimental because you guys can relate haha. There's so many great creatives on TH-cam but you all on this podcast are my favorites because you guys are so honest and relaxed and just bring things in a way that's relatable and encouraging and humble and kind. And Sam is absolutely right about being happy for the people who you look up to and not feeling jealous. Thats like my number one thing that keeps me going is seeing the success of my friends including you all and I'm genuinely happy and stoked for you guys. You have put in the hard work and sacrifice to make something you own and you guys have no idea how encouraging that has been for me. Been following you all and Sam since the beginning of you guys TH-cam journey and the growth you guys have had is just mind-blowing and I'm so freaking stoked and happy for all of you guys. Its weirdly very freeing to know you guys are doing what you love and I'm so happy for the future of what you guys are doing and I'm pumped for myself to start my journey and follow my passion and start my business NOW. And I'm totally DTL anything I can hahaha. You guys are the best and thank you for giving me a platform to express my emotions in a way that makes me comfortable. Keep crushing it guys. Love you all.

Such a great convo! Can’t believe I missed this pod… When I first met Sam many yrs ago he influenced me heavily in taking the leap to pursue being a freelance photographer. Always admired his work ethic & down to earth mentality. Love how personal this format is keep up the great work guys!
