    Aaron Rodgers clearly astral projected himself into the body of Zach Wilson for 2 quarters, which I'm 90% sure should have been a penalty.

    Seeing Zach Wilson on the sidelines saying "it's my fault" was heart breaking. Yes he had a fumble but he wasn't the reason the Jets lost this game. I'm a Jets fan and I have been so mad at him many times but tonight I just feel bad for him. He played so well.

    • @Coygon
      @Coygon ปีที่แล้ว +113

      He was absolutely reamed a season or two ago when he said, "Nope, wasn't my fault," after a game where it was very clearly the offensive side underperforming that caused them to lose. But he shouldn't have to take the hit, even if just in Pressconferenceland, for every single loss. This one wasn't on him.

    • @jacobtonning555

      Honestly, it's a pretty big moment of growth for him. No, tonight he played well. Tonight it wasn't on him.
      But him taking that to heart, if his better play tonight grows into anything substantial that sideline moment will be a big testament as to why

      ...but sometimes leadership is accepting responsibility/being accountable even when it legitimately belongs elsewhere. A big part of his failures last season came down to negative interpersonal chemistry with his teammates who eventually lost their respect for him. By taking the blame for this loss, even if others deserve that blame more than he does, he might've earned that respect back -- players who might start giving that extra ounce of effort going forward for a guy who fell on his sword for them when he didn't actually have to.

The only one that didn't make sense was a screw job call by a ref that had already said he was retiring after the season ended. That one was a strip sack that the ref blew dead from forward progress as soon as the QB was touched. The ball came out from the hit without any lag time.

      The defense adjusted and tightened up, stopped Zach and forced a turnover when the score is tied. Momentum is a real thing so I don’t fault them for Zach Wilson’s great game. Though, the Dline couldn’t create enough pressure and sack Zach Wilson against that not so good Oline was a problem.

      They made several bad calls that went against the cheifs in the first half. The safety was highly questionable. They horsecollar tackle was not a horsecollar and they missed a blatant facemask on the same play. The Jets tend to get away with a very physical secondary though. I didn't love the call based on how the game had been called up to that point, but by the letter of the law that is a hold. What I do hate is how defensive hold is a 5 yard automatic first down. Whoever came up with that is an idiot. Always hurts to see a holding call for 5 somehow turn a long 3rd or 4th down into a 1st. So yeah. Not great officiating on the NFL's side and I really wish you could challenge all penalties. I understand if a lot would stand but there were several clearly screwed up penalties this week. Refs do kinda suck and the league does need to do something. But to say the officials cost the Jets the game is bs. They helped turn it around for them. Fumbling the ball cost them the game along with just enough for mahomes. This is coming from a disheartened raiders fan. Looks like another year of cheifs dominance.

      @@josiahbrown7258 There were missed calls on both sides no doubt but yes that call cost the Jets the game. Yes Wilson turned the ball over but the Jets would've got the ball back with an INT and time on the clock to go down the field and score. The INT also would've given them good field positioning. But instead they were called for the penalty which gave the Chiefs a fresh set of downs and time to burn the clock down even more. Hence it cost them the game. I firmly believe the Jets were going to go down and score or at the very least get a FG and make it interesting. So I stand by my comment. Officials cost the game.

You can debate the consistency of the refs which is the largest issue but in the end it is what it is. Also since you agree that there missed call against the chiefs then they should have had a larger lead anyway, so it doesn't matter. This is my issue when people blame the refs. It's one thing if it is a terrible no call like saints rams nfc title game. But if you are blaming ticky tacky calls at the end of the game that go against your team, but ignore earlier calls that were in favor of your team...Like where is the logic?
