My man said reject tradition, embrace modernity. Between the multiple storm defender pieces, the Bartlett j284, and the random mid weight zip up, I gotta say this is the most personalized list I've seen yet. And I really appreciate that. As someone who works half the year in the rain, I wear my Carhartt rain gear more than I do my detroit jacket.

Ended up buying that washed duck Bartlett jacket and man what a unit. It’s just heavy enough to let you know it’s solid quality.
I bought the Rough Cut Jacket and it runs really small compared to every other Carhartt I’ve owned. Buy a larger size from traditional Carhartt jackets unless you’re fine with a tight fit.
Pretty much all my rain gear, winter gear, and hoodies are carhartt. They cost a bit but they last forever. Well worth the investment to me.

I'm looking for a replacement for a bass pro 100mph jacket for work. waterproof, breathable and rip resistant. would any of these jackets be a good replacement?
Why doesn't Carhartt make a trench rain coat one piece at a length down past your knees, why not??? IT IS SO HARD NOWADAYS TO FIND A GOOD QUALITY 65INCH LENGTH RAIN COAT WITH A HOOD....HELP

Sometimes there are individuals sitting around a table at carhartt corporate offices and they come up with the most stupidest ideas.
I hope they read comments cause it sucks not to find a good all nylon trench with a built in hood. I did find their pants on Amazon but anyone who goes with a drawstring anything will be kicking themselves when the elastic stretches out and your pants keep falling down
what size did you buy the hooded rough cut jacket in? Im a tall guy myself and was curious if you are wearing the large tall
I am wearing the large tall. I'm 6'3" and it fits pretty well. I'm glad I got this one over the regular lager. It's a hair long in the sleeves but I assume that its how normal smaller people feel while wearing jackets haha.
The #2 jacket... how well would that do for just wind? I live in a valley surrounded by mountains in Arizona. It doesn't get super cold but the wind eats right through you.
You won’t want to wear that jacket for insulation value but it does a pretty good job at blocking wind. I was out in it last night in 36’ weather just after a rain storm with nothing on underneath and I got really chilled but didn’t feel any wind coming through.

I'm 6'3" and 230lbs. In this video, I'm wearing a Carhartt tall large flannel. It's a near-perfect fit for me. Really its just a hair long but that's better than a hair short in my opinion haha. You being tall also probably feel the pain of short torso shits and short long sleeve shirts. This flannel is awesome.

I own the storm defender for 3 years now. At first was totally waterproof but now it gets soaked up. Ever since it was brand new it felt like I was getting wet although I never did.. well, today I did get a little wet on my shoulders. Is clear waterproof spray for sneakers safe to use on this jacket?
try the KIWI brand camp gear waterproofing spray & forget that "sneakers" crap. follow the directions & you're good to go.

way cheaper on amazon but almost rarely can find it in stock in my size so usually just buy it on their official site

They don't sell the hooded rough cut jacket online no more and also it's not warm so why number one??
You can find it on Amazon still if it’s not on their site. I just saw it while buying another jacket for a video I’m making. I mostly placed it at number one specifically for me because it layers well with other hoodies and sweaters. I’d rather be dry in a tough jacket with two layers than wet in a tough jacket with one.

It’s a jacket that they don’t sell anymore. I’m looking this season for the closest thing to it. If I find it, I’ll post a video on it.
