Top 5 Gear Essentials You Haven't Thought of Yet
90$ for their Alpine Action: black friday sale at their web page.
Although it didn’t make the list, the Sabre shell is definitely up there in price for what it is. Did I buy it? Yes.
I’m going to say that as far as price for features, their shells are absolutely the most expensive thing they sell. I have the rush haha.
wait till it rains
What about the COLUMBIA Wild Card II Down Jacket?
That jacket looks like it has been discontinued and replaced by the Wild Card™ IV. But even then I cannot find a place to buy it. It might not be sold in the US.
@TechGearClothing they seem very similar. What's your opinion, do they worth their money. Because I think they are the most expensive ones
@@NikitarasTurkophagos it really looks like a solid choice. The powder skirt, internal pockets and the omni heat shield all really put together a solid option. My only hesitation is that its not going to be something that is going to keep you warm when temperatures really drop with 500 fill down. It might also get hotter without pit zip ventilation. Its a perfect fair weather ski day jacket though. If you expect extram cold or to be hiking in this, I would suggest something else like Paragonias Torrentshell 3L or The North Face freedom Insulated Jacket.
@TechGearClothing OK, thank you very much
You are worried about food going rancid because they will be stored "for awhile. " you should consider mylar bags with oxygen absorbers. Foodsaver style bags are not oxygen or moisture proof. Hope this helps.
That’s a great idea! Thank you!
Please help recommend the temperature. And give me the right weather to buy a Beta jacker.
The Arc'teryx Beta jacket is best suited for wet and windy conditions, typically in temperatures ranging from 10°C (50°F) to -5°C (23°F).
U
U da best.
What kind of freeze dryer is this? Thinking of getting one and I understand what they cost. Just trying to see what other people are using. I plan to use it for personal backpacking meals probably similar to what you are doing.
It is the Harvest Right medium. It’s been super helpful for food storage and backpacking meals. I do everything from leftovers to freeze drying half of what i purchase from stores like Costco.
@@TechGearClothing Thanks. That seems to be the one everyone is getting. It's on sale for $2500. just making sure its good. A bit of an investment
@@motivemachineworks6890 Honestly it is totally worth it. I have saved so much in food that would have otherwise gone bad that I believe it has paid its self off.
@@TechGearClothing Thanks for the feedback. I think I am eventually going to get one this month with the sale. I can definitely afford it, I just want to make sure I'm not wasting $$ and I will actually use it. lol.
Alpha SV is the flagship model. The only one still totally made in Canada. This list is nothing without it!!
How hi are you?
Thanx
Columbia Mens Whirlibird Iv Interchange Jacket will it for in -20degree c
I should off also said this in the last video I watched. As a Eureka car camping tent person in addition to a lot of other Coleman gear I do use is the Coleman screen tent. I’m on my second one now.
Does the omni tech coating every flake off? I’ve seen some reviews on Reddit where people say the gold coating flakes off on their clothes like glitter.
From everything I have seen, it seems to hold up pretty well but it does look like the kind of application that would come off if you put it in the dryer. It looks heat pressed almost, so it would make sense that heat could make it break down.
Do you know what today’s equivalent of the storm defender is?
Arc teryx
You can find their newest version on Amazon. Here is that link amzn.to/4dtRFNZ
Can you provide the Carhartt model number from the tag?
Unfortunately, I do not have these jackets anymore. I wish I could help you out. I don’t think they sell either of them anymore.
So peaceful
It seems to me like for 2 people instead of 4
That’s how just tents go. 4 people packed like sardines and all of their gear outside of the tent or two people with their gear inside of the tent.
I would buy the seperate rain fly.
I suggest buying a better aftermarket one. The one that is made for it sucks pretty bad.
What is better Coleman or ozark because the ozark Walmart tents are rating higher for waterproof and price
Got my Patagonia down Jacket at 50% discount…these is still cheap at regular price with 800 fill goose down compared to my Canada Goose Parka and Mackage puff down jacket!
Pretty cool how there made!❤️
What happened to the old days when a rain fly and tent stakes came with tbe tent. What a rip off
The Patagonia down sweater has had a hooded version for many years.
Thanks for the video. Actually, the Atom jacket is not a soft shell jacket.
Awesome video, thx dude
Nice knife I got the crkt swat
North Face woke shite boycotted
Do the Carhartt beanies fit big heads ? I mean it when I say big, I have a 63cm dome. hahaha I've been wanting to get one, but I only find them online, down here in Brazil, so I can't try it on before buying it.
They do. They stretch really big and retain their elasticity pretty well. If you find that it starts to loose its tightness just give it a wash and you’ll get some of it back.
@@TechGearClothing thx a lot for that response my friend !
Mine sucks
i think they got rid or rebranded Apex flex futurelight jacket? i cant find it on their website or amazon
I think you are right also. This bums me out. I found that there was a second version of the material that came out that was not as good as the first. I don’t know what happened but it didn’t improve and then just seemed to disappear. I still use mine often.
My number 1 is Atom Heavyweight. My number 2 is Squamish . My number 3 is Delta LT.
Carhartt is the only jacket that only gets better the more worn out it looks.
I m from india
How can buy my dear friend
The 100% polyester (fleece) beanie lasts longer, keeps its shape, and doesn't shrink or pill like the acrylic versions (itchy).
Just got one! Because of your review , thank you!
how can you say that a jacket is 4lbs and not even think twice about whether that's accurate lmao. AI generated content i s2g
This video was out before AI content was a thing lol. How can you even say that and not think twice about it? Lol. Also, that’s straight from their website so if you got beef, take it up with them lmao. 😂
Ended up buying that washed duck Bartlett jacket and man what a unit. It’s just heavy enough to let you know it’s solid quality.
Ok. How do you take it down? I set mine up and now it's stuck half way down. I don't want to bend a pole the wrong way. Nevermind. A woman just showed me how.
2:33 i dislike these types of cuffs on jackets.. very much prefer the ones that stretch like on a bomber jacket
New jaket contact with inpatient
Great products - very poor customer services.Would never order anything directly from the company - an arrogant attitude is not customer friendly in any business or walk of life.
This video is not very useful. Your info sounds like you're reading it from the manufacturer's website. How about giving actual info that helps people make a decision, and your use and opinions.
Can you stand up in that? From the outside it didn't look like you would be able to.
AR doesn't stand for 'All Around'...that would be AA. AR stands for 'All Round' ...basics
hi!!!! I have a question, are the carhartt storm defender relaxed fit lightweight packable jacket also a good jacket for heavy rains?
I like these freeze drying experiments!
J140?
I think it's is, but for all the info you think he would just list the model number
The material on the corners is supposed to be there to protect the tent from being ripped when folding it up
