The band was the band, finally some real 60’s music. Cripple creak, the shape I’am in
One of my favorite Band jams. Great call!✌️❤️🎶
You may want to watch The Last Waltz. The Staples tune was from that movie.
Ophelia!
One of my personal favorites ❤
This grew up to 20 minute groove in concerts....
sheeeesh
Definitely play more from The Band, one of my absolute favorites. Check out King Harvest (Has Surely Come) their funkiest song, Up On Cripple Creek, Life Is a Carnival, Atlantic City, Tears of Rage, I Shall Be Released, Jemima Surrender, We Can Talk, The Shape I'm In... that can get you started!
Don't forget the heartbreak songs of all heartbreak songs "It makes no difference" song like no one else could by Rick Danko. Also The Weight, both from The Last Waltz.oh and Stage Freight, also sung by Rick and from The Last Waltz.
@@hannejeppesen1809 Of course with It Makes No Difference. Also Night They Drove Ole Dixie Down, there's so many great great songs in their discography!
Another great song from the Band. Definitely a group of great musicians.
The Band had three lead singers, but sometimes they harmonized together, like in this song. It sounds like Richard Manuel and Rick Danko, (tenor) doing vocals. Actually all three of them.
The Weight is one of the greatest rock songs ever. And it’s been covered a lot, and most of them are good, too.
Check out “Makes No Difference” if you haven’t already.
The Band had some bangers!
I believe 3 Dog Night and Sugarloaf covered this song as well.
Great funky beat 🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵 smooth
The Band was the backing band when Bob Dylan went electric.
My gosh, this was such a seminal time in my life...with this as the soundtrack. 17 years old at university...no business being on my own. This culture of art made the hard falls a much more poetic memory...now.
I think your the only reactor to do this. Thx
This is Garth Hudson’s opus!
These guys are my “Beatles”
Peace
"Chest Fever" by The BAND really features Keyboardist Garth Hudson at the outset. The beginning of the song is briefly in "The Last Waltz", the concert film that documents The BAND's final performance.
Daniel and the Sacred Harp is an often ignored song
One of my favorites
Eric Clapton gave the induction speech into the R&R Hall of Fame for The Band. He said he once asked them if he could join the group. They thought he was kidding and so he dropped it but…he wasn’t kidding. That’s how much he admired them.
One of the all time Best
Garth Hudson is one of the greatest musicians to ever grace the scene! Bless you Garth, long may you run....
Meat, goat cheese & crackers! Er, whatever the first line says. Music From Big Pink is a classic album.
Love the Band!
"The organ mastery of 'Chest Fever' unleashed the Band's secret weapon, Garth Hudson." Awesome Garth; the only surviving member of The Band.
Love the Band Biz! Only Garth Hudson (organ extraordinaire in this song) is still with us. Had the pleasure of seeing them live twice, January 1974 at MLG when they toured with Dylan on the Before the Flood tour and Labour Day 1974 at Varsity Stadium when they played with Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Good to see you back Biz.
good to be back
Good to see you again, Biz.
Hey, thanks
Biz, the lyrics were placeholders until they finished with the musical arrangment. Finally they said heck with it, let's just keep these words....
okay that make sense
C'mon Biz ,
a Vibe on this one .
Sounds a lot like Traffic (with Steve Winwood) .
We Can Talk is a great song from Music From Big Pink.
Try some songs from music from Big pink the band - that was levon helm and Richard Manuel singing on chest fever I think - thanks for the reaction
Nice
A comment for the algorithm.
a true hero
@@watchbizmatik Nah, just a fan and admirer 🥰
ditto😀

One of the best keyboard intros of all time ?
I don’t remember this one, it does sound good though. Thanks Biz
epic
The movie " The Last Waltz " there are about 4 or 5 notes from this song . Then it cut out , was soooo disappointed. Maybe a camera ran out of film or over heated .
