My Fav. is Talking Old Soldiers followed by My Fathers Gun. I was just listening to Levon so I put down Rotten Peaches as my Fav. off that album, but I forgot we was on Tumbleweed...
Being wealthy doesn't make you bad, just as being poor, doesn't make a good person either. That's the worst example of judging a book by its cover. Judge people on an individual basis, not their income, or lack of it.
Being rich isn't the problem, greed is the issue and what happens to people's attitude when they acquire wealth and power. It changes their outlook towards others when greed takes hold of them. They forget that every dollar in their pocket came from someone else's pocket. Wealth can be used to help or hurt, but mostly the rich don't care one way or the other..It becomes an addiction and no amount of money is enough. Unregulated capitalism has become a nightmare.
That's a cliche, Bull crap answer. Many wealthy people pour tons of money into charities you and I will never know about. You gave a lazy answer. Some are selfish jerks, but so are some poor people too.
Fantastic song and impeccable album. The pinnacle of Elton and Bernie’s collaboration! From 1970 to 1975 They had at least 50 great songs. They never hit that level of quality after that time as Elton started getting lost in drugs and depression.
7:53 Davey Johnston recounts in his interview that he asked John Lennon how to play the guitar solo in a Lennon song. Lennon told him, you are musicians and you know how to play. Johnston brought it up and said that Lennon was so humble, but when I heard it, I realized what Elton John and his band represented to the music world at the time. These people were professional musicians😎

The entire record is absolute gold. One of the best albums ever made.

IMO His best album. Not commercial, just pure artistry. Great reaction.
Agree! Early Elton was the best Elton!
Thanks for playing this one😊
Last track on a great album. No hits, just great music. My favorite Elton album.
The early Elton John music catalogue was so good. From 1969 to about 1975 was his best, I think.
So true! The spark was there of imagination lyrically and musically. Magic and enthusiasm till Elton got run down, confused and into the drug scene!
No doubt. I don’t know how he could have improved on that.
A lot of people miss this one, thanks!

Hearing Elton John in the early 70’s was like going to heaven and hearing the angels sing.
Amazing track! Amoreena is a track I would love to see you react to. ✌🏻☀️
Yes!
Me too!
This song really allows you to experience the range of his voice.
I always request this song. Thank you for going there!

So true. It all depends who has the money and what they do with it.

As I've heard, Laura Nyros's compositions inspired him to change up the tempo etc
His new album is rumoured to drop in September.
Great album. I love early Elton.
