- Today we visit Nagashima Spa Land in Nagoya Japan! This park has an awesome 1-2 punch with Steel Dragon 2000, a giga roller coaster, and Hakugei, an RMC Ibox. Hakugei has the potential to be better than Iron Gwazi, Steel Vengeance, and every Disney roller coaster, so stay tuned to see how amazing it is!

You actually both were lucky enough to experience a back seat ride experience on Hakugei since row 11 is the same car as row 12.

I went there 3 days ago and it was awesome

When I was at Nagashima in August weather was great but queues were also basically empty
But 3/4 coasters where closed so ye

I did 1 and a half days at this park. The shuttle loop, gyroswing and pirate ship was closed the entire time. Steel dragon, arashi and Hakugei were on a consistent hour queue, with Hakugei on 1 train. The flyer, ultra twister and looping star were down the whole second day, and so were the wild mouse and both kiddie coasters which I didn’t get on.
This park is fantastic with a great setting, atmosphere and ride collection, but the ride availability there is absolutely horrendous
Yep, we also missed out on 3 coasters. We were lucky that we got no queues though. I hope you enjoy your next visit a lot more :)))
If I was in charge of the Japanese theme parks (excluding Disney and Universal), many roller coaster enthusiasts have some cons that they can’t pick their row as this assigned seating policy seems unnecessary to me on many Japanese rides. In order to improve this policy, I would have to either make this policy less strict to allow honorary seat requests or switch it to first-come-basis with seat requests as well.
Steel Dragon 2000 is not the worst giga! It's so good
I mean it probably is. Unless you count superman as a giga. Red Force may be worse actually. Idk I really enjoyed steel dragon 2000, you might expect a full review on it a little later :)))

Hakugei is great and the beginning is phenomenal but it lets off the gas after the double down and the operations are really weird

I went here like 2 months ago, and for some reason, there was a massive anime convention being held there. Is it like a normal thing for that park? It was my first time going to Nagashima and I walk in and everyone is dressed up and stuff. There were people with wigs in line for steel dragon 2000 😭😭😭
I can’t imagine people trying to ride steel dragon 2000 with wigs. The park is so strict with everything. Were they making people take it off?
@@RCETown yea they made them take off the wigs, however they still kept some of their cosplays on and stuff. I didn’t really think the park was super strict, they kept steel dragon 2000 open in the pouring rain.
@@Eggagins They did not keep any rides open in the rain when we went. Interesting that they would do that. Maybe they were trying to satisfy the people at the special event or smthn.
@@RCETown well they closed all the rides but steel dragon was only closed for a few minutes before it was back up and running
Forgot the taller guys name sorry 😅 but how tall are you? Taller than 6ft? Or are you like 5’9? Doesn’t steel dragon have a height limit?
Darren. He’s 6’3 I’m 5’10 and look hella short next to him lol. If steel dragon had a height limit they didn’t check.
@@RCETown that’s closer to what I actually thought, but I wanted to say lower just in case 😃 and because I heard somewhere that steel dragon had a hight limit of like 6ft (thanks for responding)

I actually preferred Acrobat to Flying Dinosaur. That one gave me a headache. Acrobat is so graceful.
By the way, I must make you jealous by saying that my only ride on Steel Dragon 2000 was in the very last row. I was not prepared because going over that first hill was like having a rug pulled under your feet. I screamed out loud. 😅
That is a hot take. I kind of understand it, but flying dinasour is goated. The more I get to digest wtf happened the higher it goes in my rankings lol
