I have to point out that I don't think that love is something you have to «deserve». It's such a wrong belief. No one should feel like they have to prove worthiness to be loved by someone. I made this video not to show that Colin **deserves** Penelope, but to show that Colin isn't a bad guy as some people call him. He cares a lot about Penelope. I see such absurd words about him. But he did only ONE thing wrong. ONE. And we don't even know his POV of **that** scene yet.
I think there’s an interview clip out there somewhere where Luke Newton says he has always tried to convey that whenever Colin sees Penelope he sees his home. Their love story is a slow burn and I have been living for it since season one. Thank you for this edit.

Their love is multidimensional and rooted in a long history between them. He has always respected her and genuinely cared for her. I even can take his comments to the guys from the perspective of how much he sees her as a dear friend and would never dream of jeopardizing that friendship by courting her. It came off as dismissive but it can be seen other ways. His heart stirred after that kiss and after talking to his mother, he gained courage to take that friendship he treasured into the next level of love 💕

I need this video to go viral because I can't handle all the people who can't see that Colin has always loved Penelope and has proven it time and time again with his actions. Yes, he made a mistake with what he said last season, but in 4 episodes in season 3 he completely redeemed himself. That is to say, as soon as Colin assumed his feelings for Penelope, he went for her and didn't care for anything else. He crashed a dance, stole another gentleman's partner, went after her carriage on foot, confessed his feelings and asked her to marry him. Colin made too many scandals to reach Penelope with all the bravery expected of a man and I am saddened that there are people who fail to see that.
At first I thought this was going to be dissing Polin, but after watching every one of your Polin edits I really should know better. Once again beautifully done, and some strong supporting arguments. ❤

Just sharing my observation of Colin, so please don't hate me for it. I can see why some people are so angry at him, and he does deserve that anger, considering how cruel his words were. BUT they're both young, MEANING he has yet to realize who he is and what he wants fully. Yes, he cares for Penelope and considers her a very close and dear friend because she is the only person he could really open up to and reveal who he is. We all want to fit in and sometimes hide who we are until we realize we don't have to or care to. That's all he was trying to do - fit in. He was still trying to find himself in society. Penelope provided him a safe space which he needed and she was always there for him when others weren't. I think the kiss was just a boost he needed to realize he loves her. I just hope that he is deeply in love with her more than she is with him and by the looks of it in the carriage... I think he is 😍 Also, we don't always fall in love with the person who likes us. Thankfully, he did. He just needed time 🥰
