    There is a lot of misinformation in this review. The Dyson has a full width brush bar that combines the fluffy head and motor bar head. It is not a copycat of another brand. The robot has little side arms for edge cleaning as side brushes can fling dirt around. The robot has 12 min on MAX , upto 50 in Auto, and upto 65 min in regular mode. The robot is probably heavier due to the how powerful it is and the full width brush bar. The cyclones work to keep suction high so it doesn't decrease in performance as it cleans and the filter is a lifetime WASHABLE hepa filter that says clean most of the time due to the cyclones. It is not intended or advertised as being a mop. Having an easy to read screen doesn't seem like a gimmick as most newer tech products have something like that. Also the app tells you where it is picking up more dirt and you can hear it increase in suction when in auto mode. Overall it has better suction and pickup than any other robot and has a lot of smart features that will no doubt get better with time.

      Even so... it's still a dumb robot. I have a Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra and I wouldn't replace it even if I'd receive a dyson 360 for free. Dyson stick vacuums are cool, I have a gen5 but for the robot... they are at least 5 years behind

      I used it and did not get those results. The machine tells you how much battery life it has.

      The engineering is very Dyson but it's a Dyson vac brushroll in the front just like the many other brands who use this design. And the little side arms do not perform well under cabinets or recessed areas

      @@TheFrenchGlow this are estimated times - i even got about 70 - 75 minutes runtime on auto mode with 2 units i own using on 2 floors. Despite this this "review" is just bad. Many missinformation and just missed things regarding the filter, lidar : the robot is using Lidar or more precice LDS (it has 1D LDS at the sides) and ALL "smart" robots are SLAM robots, vacuum performance (the unit has enough underpressure and airflow to overcome the "front gap" like regular vacuums do). And just to mention the touchscreen : you can do some other stuff with it too like erasing data , updating the unit or set an offset for the cliff sensors. Overall that are only a few points i picked.

    Having used this now for a few weeks I can honestly say the comparisons to other robovacs and people shortchanging the Dyson is, at most, unfair. I have a fairly large apartment with multiple rooms and the Dyson has done a fabulous job as long as you follow their instructions. For example, ample lighting is required, clearing items from the path etc and the Dyson has done a far better job than other robovacs and also humans! No issue in navigation, no issue in obstacle avoidance or finding its way back to the dock.

      To clarify, am not a Dyson fanboy, this is my first Dyson product. I am an engineer however and love tech. Choosing the Dyson came after weeks of research and testing with other products (and not just TH-cam video reviews)

      Hi! I talk about that at the end of the video. People are having success using the Dyson 360 vis nav but from the ones I spoke, they had optimized their home for robovacs with no pets/small kids. The Dyson as a vacuum is powerful like a Dyson v8 but the trades off are large for the price.

    The filter is washable. Does not need replacing unless performance deteriorates, which may happen in some homes after 3 to 4 years. Then replace it then.

    • @TheFrenchGlow
      @TheFrenchGlow  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have been using it and these filters deteriorate much faster than you think. If you run it every 2-3 days, you will be surprised how short of a lifespan the filter has.

  • @steelski01
    @steelski01 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    you might want to do a follow-up. There seem to be massive updates to the software that have transformed the performance.

    • @TheFrenchGlow
      @TheFrenchGlow  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi! I just compared the 360 Vis Nav with the updates for a new comparison and it didn't do much for meimho. Did you experience an improvement? For the price, I much prefer my iRobot j9 over the 360 Vis Nav and if mopping is needed, any of the roborock s8 pro and up or the dreame x30. Lidar and front facing cameras perform much better than a top camera. It's why iRobot moved away from the s9 with its top camera to the front facing j9.
      However I'm curious when the next Dyson robot vac will be launched. It feels like they will course correct quickly with new hardware and new software again.

    Watch “Just a Dad’s” review on this. He loves this but didn’t at first- it appears to deep clean his whole house that no other robot vacuum has ever done, even the top of the lines. Convinced me to order one from Home Depot whenit was on sale.

    I have an ecovacs Deebot. When it works it does a reasonable job. However, every so often it loses its map. It is an absolute pain to sort it out. So take Ecovacs out of the picture. As others have said the Dyson filters can be washed and do not need replacement. It’s a pity that Dyson persisted with their 360 vertical camera. Just does not seem a good idea. Battery life seems too short. Auto dust emptying would be nice although the Dyson dust container functionality looks OK. I don’t care about mopping. I would rather a vacuum that does not get tangled, lost or stuck and can find its way home.
    We are not there yet.

    The Dyson is MUCH better for suction and on carpets than the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. There’s no comparison with the two in regards to vacuuming power and suction.
    This review is very harsh in my opinion. It’s not meant to be a mop though it would be nice if it had one. I ran tests between my S8 MaxV Ultra and the 360 Vis Nav and the S8 was faster, longer battery, smarter with better obsitcle avoidance and also includes mopping and self emptying…
    BUT the Dyson picked up things the S8 simply couldn’t. Did much much better on carpets than the S8 lifting hair and deep sand from my carpets. I wish it had lidar instead of its camera system but the camera system works. It also thinks a lot so it pauses often which I wasn’t accustom to. Let it do its thing and walk away and you’d be pleased with the results.
    The battery life is not great but it can do apex 65 min on auto but also it can go back and charge to continue. This ain’t a fast vacuum but it is a workhorse. It’s the best carpet vacuum on the market.
    My S8 has a load of features it doesn’t have but if it’s going into a mainly carpeted place, the Dyson wins. It’s going to do the job better. It won’t leave hair behind and it senses the dirt in the carpet and ramps up. But even on auto mode it’s stronger than most vacuums.

    Love Dyson, have had one VC for about 16years now, but for that price/value, this is an absolute tech fail and cannot concur with the top out there. Anyhow, I love the design.

    I don’t see how the Dyson is able to clean around the legs of tables and chairs, recessed area under the cabinets. Bad decision to exclude the side brush.

      @TheFrenchGlow  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi! That's a good point. In my experience, similar to the filter on the Dyson V15, washing a hepa filter is not as effective as it seems when you consider the claims on the filter effectiveness.

  • @Arvisgrt

    Yeah a lot of what you’re saying is contradictory. You can’t keep quality up and lower the weight of the vacuum by 30%. I don’t even own this thing I can sense most people reviewing this thing are not giving it a fair shake. It’s clearly the best built robot vacuum out there. The only true con I can see is that it doesn’t have a self emptying bin. That really sucks and it’s why I haven’t bought it.

    • @TheFrenchGlow
      @TheFrenchGlow  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! Not sure what the weight has to do with it as much as size. Imho the Dyson has its strengths with the new updates but I would not call it the best robovac value wise out on the market. It is top tier for carpet like a iRobot j9 but the j9 goes on sale for more than half the price of the Dyson.

    This video is not about how to pull off a dyson robot vacuum cleaner.
    This is an honest opinion about how unable to produce a normal robot vacuum cleaner compared to the competition.
    Their other products are great, the tester says so.
    Too expensive, knows too little and that's it!

    You lost me when you said $200 robots perform as well as the Dyson 360 Vis Nav. Bro, you’re losing your credibility. That’s just crazy. Value obviously as it’s expensive but performance. This review ain’t it bro.
