I’m always in complete awe of those who can hear a piece of music and immediately turn around and play it themselves. What a testament to Judson’s level of skill and knowledge!

You know, there are only 12 tones repeating over different octaves and two main modes ( major and minor) which makes now 7 out of 12 tones. Every musician would hear in which key it is ad and then knows the chords. Now you only have to try a little. Most musicians can play a melody that is in their head directly on the instrument. It’s nothing magical, but it’s years or decades of training.

what's more surprising Is the complete lack of awareness about how music works by metalheads. i should know since i myself used to be shocked by the most elementary elements of harmony by any trained musician and thought playing music was Just about Reading and executing someone else's tabs

I find a lot of songs can grow over a person over time as well. It actually surpassed my enjoyment of Iron Maiden, Dio, Ozzy, Black Sabbath, and Judas Priest for many years. A lot of reactors here on TH-cam start with Ghost Love Score but Nightwish repertoire is really something, you cannot go wrong. I would recommend The poet and the Pendulum. In any case you will need the lyrics, I would say they are mandatory for Judson to fully embrace the poetry of that band.

Loving all the Metallica, you guys are my go to and absolutely love your approach, banter and your varying types, styles and genres of music choices. Having a couple requests for you; Artist: Barnes Courtney...Songs: "Fire" or "Glitter and Gold". Artist Cranberry's, song "21", "Disappointment" or "Empty"

Even if you didn't like the piece, you respect it and acknowledge its quality and creativity.
The song may be awesome, but it's not for everyone's tastes. Good thing, too... that's why we have so many genres of music.

Hey guys! If Judson likes the chill Metallica, why not show him Welcome Home Sanitarium? Such a beautiful and melodic and aggressive and haunting song all at once! And I’d love to see him play that one on piano!!

really fun watching you breakdown this piece of music. I think you would find the song You Take My Breath Away ( studio version ) by Queen interesting

I have to say I am really digging the intros. The old timey feel is a perfect start then you add in the nice Piano from Judson (?) and it's golden!
