Hydraulic tilt decks do make it easy to change tires when deck pushs against ground, just don't do it if there's a heavy load on the deck its possible to bend the ram or rams. Tryed it once with 30k on deck of a Maxxd tdx 30k trailer you wouldn't believe how a 3" diameter ram would bend like a banana 😆

Nice trailer. I agree with you that the front storage box could be designed better to seal out water (or at least put some drain plugs in the bottom of the box). I'm wondering why Diamond C told you that you couldn't mount your spare under the bed? And also why you didn't have it built with pockets for forks (don't you use a fork attachment)? Other than that, I would probably order the same trailer ... but maybe spring for a solid oak floor (wonder how much more that would cost?). You say in the video that you have a step coming ... from Diamond C or aftermarket? If from Diamond C, why wasn't the step installed when you took delivery? I thought steps were standard equipment on their trailers. Anyway, I hope you get a lot of life out of it ... seems to be well made.

There is drains in the box so water doesn’t hold but it would be nice if it was sealed. To be honest I don’t think the dealer even asked diamond c when I asked for it, but after getting it there was no way anyone could hold the spare tire up to secure it. It’s so heavy! We have a fork attachment but don’t transport it often. It stays right on site for a while usually or we just strap it down. You can build and price this trailer on the website and choose all those options. As for the step I wanted a retractable step after I ordered it. I contacted the dealer by phone and email in Jan. Which was only a month after ordering and asked to add it. No one ever got back to me on it. So I finally just contacted diamond c and they said I had to have the change into the dealer ASAP or it would be too late. Tried to call again and nothing. I never heard from the dealer until it was time for them to be paid. At that time I asked about the step and had to settle for the stake pocket step which was added after the trailer was delivered to them. No big deal. I’ll wait for it to show up just ship it right to me. Mind you they lost by jack handle shipping it from the dealer to my shop. Stake pocket step showed up and it didn’t even fit in the pocket. Reached out to dealer, yet again no return calls so I reached out to diamond c and they took care of it. Dealer 👎🏼 Diamond C 👍🏼

I live in Salem, Ohio. Appalachian Trailers shop is 9 miles from me. They build a decent trailer. Have you given any thought of adding a winch to the new trailer ? Would be handy from broken down equipment.

We bought a dump trailer from there in 2018 in addition to that flatbed in this video. Took the ride down and picked them up. The diamond c has the winch plate already added up front so I should be able to add when I’m ready. Just the factory winch is a lot of money

Very nice trailer. What made you go with the deck over tilt vs the low-profile tilt (with fenders on the side)? The tilt angle seems a lot steeper with the deck-over. Has this been an issue for you?

We don’t like fenders for loading pallet materials or trees from the side. The angle is steep only when slippery. I’m working on a solution

How did this trailer work out for you this season? You like the beaver tail or the tilt deck better for your CTLs?

I personally like the tilt deck. I feel much safer loading it. With the beaver tail and track machines there’s always a big drop when your backing up. Makes me feel like it’s going to flip over. The only issue I have now it it’s tough to put attachments on from the side where it won’t be effected when you raise it to tilt to load the machine. Another nice thing is you now have more deck space at the rear that I didn’t have before with the beaver tail and ramps. The deck on the ground for loading also helps keep the truck in one place so it won’t rock as much.
Lastly the hardest problem is telling if the weight is distributed evenly bc the deck is up and the weight doesn’t transfer over until it’s down so it’s hard to judge.

@@BeauEnterprisesInc Thanks for the reply. I know the feeling with the beaver tail and ramps. I always have a voice in my head that says "you're going off the trailer" when she starts to drop. I'm looking at pretty much the same trailer so glad to hear it's working out for you guys.
