How many carbon plates you want in your shoe rotation?
Choi: yes.
Boston 12 is still GOATed even in 2024! Picked up a pair on sale and haven’t really integrated it in my rotation because I grabbed it mid-marathon block, but excited to use them more now.
100 miles was crazy 💪
SKYWARD X MENTIONED! GANG GANG! I ordered a second pair right after my first run with it.
Hello. I would like your advice. I started running more actively and experimenting with sneakers. I am preparing for a half marathon. I have Vomero 17, Nimbus 25 and Adizero SL2. Vomero 17 - soft, stable, I like them for easy runs. I was excited about the Nimbus 25 at first, but now they seem cumbersome and very slow. SL2 - excellent: both the pace has improved, and the speed, and the heart rate does not increase. My question is, should I replace the Nimbus 25 with something else for slow recovery runs? Are they not needed at all with Vomero 17? And what sneakers would you recommend for my collection to close all questions? Of particular interest are the recommendations for speed/tempo sneakers. I will be very grateful.
This is the superhero lineup
I need a shoe to use for fast workouts and road races (5-10k mainly), ive been looking at the vaporflys should I get the 2 or 3?
I can't find the E-book on the shoe guide. I only see the marathon program
Great video!!!
Great setup. Only thing is i personally have different is 2 pairs of "daily" shoes. Especially during the summer since i tend to sweat a lot and sometimes i sweat a lot into my shoes haha
I was expecting a Kane recovery shoe to end up somewhere in this video 💪👍
The link in the description is to the first marathon guide. Where's the shoe guide?
The Nike ultrafly is a performance trail running shoe. It’s not something you want for day to day hiking or even trail running if you’re not looking for performance. You’d want something cheaper and more durable with bigger lugs than just 3 mm.
Can you suggest what the best skechers shoes for running
If you use an actual mic vs the camera mic the production quality will be so much better!!! Great content nevertheless.
suggestion: add some SI units
You should check out the Bataan Marathon that’s happing in March
Can't find the e-book
Isn’t a plate bad for everyday trainer? Plantar fasciitis?
Its not bad if you are strong.
@@RustyNinja100 I think I’m pretty strong
@dnice362 i just noticed we interact earlier lmao. But yeah I see carbon plates like a weightlifting belt. It doesn't make you weaker it just enables you to push harder. Or go for longer.
Daily trainer should not have a carbon plate. I think all running shoes will have carbon plate and super foam midsole in the future. That’s too bad.
No ASICS NovaBlast 4 on the list is a crime 😊
overrated
Ohhhh, interesting, I like it for its cushion feel. What’s your go to for a shoe with that cushion type feel?
@@steveskutnik321 NB1080, Adidas SL2. No hate to the NB4 tho, it just doesnt need to be on everyone’s list of preference
thought i’d see a deviate nitro 3 in the list tbh
Will he answer?
Mans is running in straight carbon county
I want to run with you someday..🤪🤪..
People in the comment section really condemning Matt’s shoes rotation all have carbon fibre plates/rods in it. While at certain points & facts i’m agree that training in carbon fibre plate everyday will weaken your feet muscles & lead to injury. But imo, there is certain exceptions that make Matt’s rotation shoes system works. (At least, for him)
First of all, let’s take a look at Hoka Skyward X. Although has carbon fibre plate, its actually acting more as stabilizing agent rather than for energy return/propulsion. Even several shoe reviewers also highlighted that the Skyward X carbon plate are kinda ‘dull’ during the run.
Plus, this is Matt’s CURRENT shoes rotation, specifically trained for leadville 100 miles in the meantime. So its understandable that he needs a high stack shoes to protect his feet & shoe with some sort of stiffening tech inside the midsole, he needs all the helps he can get because of the high mileage training. After he completed the Leadville 100, im sure his shoe rotations will look much different than current lineup.
After all, we all know Matt is also a shoe reviewer, he will change his shoes time by time.
So, relax & chill everyone. Enjoy the content, keep running, stay safe, spread the positivity & have a beautiful day ahead!
Can you review the New balance SC trainer V3
Please how clean hoka upper skyward x
Have you ran in the Superblast 2s yet? Curious how you would compare it to the Skyward X
I Hope people don’t Actually take most of the running advice from this guy because if all you’re wearing are carbon plated or just plated shoes in general all you’re doing is setting yourself up for injury. Just get regular shoes when starting off and saved plated shoes for workouts and racing.
Boston has plastic rods for more of a stability thing so does the hoka, also when you get to high mileage running it’s ok to have this high stack shoes
@@Zqrunxello they’re not for stability lmao they’re for performance mainly, and even when doing high mileage it’s not a good thing as you weaken your feet.
All carbon plated is crazy
That’s…not how carbon plates work
running shoes are too costly
Nice list! Gotta clean your shoes man.
First!
None of these shoes teach you how to correctly work through your stride. Super stiff shoes with no flexiblity, which is essential for new and experienced runners to practice the toe-off phase, no variance in drops, no variance in stack, all of these have plates, and are crazy expensive. Horrible advice
🤡
Pedantic much? 😂
Is Matt a beginner runner? Sure, beginners may just copy an influencer’s rotation, (to anyone here who doesn’t know what shoes to buy, don’t do that,) but not every video has to contain advice for everyone.
It is impossible to enjoy the video: Always distractions from childish pop-up's to keep the viewer logged in. ... Next video you are planning is probably about being dedicated and focused, while confusing the viewer. ... Dislike.
