    1. The cause of laziness is a craving for comfort
    2. The cost of laziness is a wasted life
    3. The cure for laziness is discipline despite difficulty (you only grow when you're uncomfortable).
Thank you for this message! This is such a needed reminder. Also, love the suggestion to put your alarm opposite the room, with your bible on top.

@@a.sydney5036Its the best decision you should make. A tip I have is to get a Bible I use the KJV and then get the “Logos” Bible app blue icon. You can easily look up meanings of words that you dont understand. That is if you read or are planning to read the KJV

This really moved me... I'm so sick of living self absorbed and missing my Godly purpose that it's pathetic. 35 years old with nothing to show for it so far. I was supposed to be much further along my road had i taken all of this seriously and not have been so "lazy busy". I have to tie my flesh to the alter and let God have his way with me. It is time for Godly discipline in my life. I'm sick of pursuing comforts and reaping zero prosperity. God help me, i am a waste on my own 🙏

I'll be completely honest... this sermon was very hard for me to hear. I know I struggle with laziness, and starting things I don't finish, so it really called me out and it was uncomfortable to sit and listen, but I did. I need this, thank you/

But did you not know these things about yourself already? My struggle is not that I don't know that it's an issue. It's that I live in a constant cycle of procrastination. Like debilitating procrastination. Everyday struggle.

I have once read words by Dieter F. Uchtdorf that said something like this "Often the answer to our prayer does not come while we're on our knees but while we're on our feet serving the Lord and serving those around us."
I was in my University years when I read this word, I was joining a bunch of organization to keep me busy and learning something new. It was actually in these years, when I was busy doing something to learn, to meet new people, to find God that I was able to see better what God wants me to do.
Not in comfort, not in going home early to relax and watch the newest TV series, but in discomfort of loongggg hours of meeting and labor that I was able to produce fruit.

@@AtticTapes14 The Lord does give us time to rest because there is a time and a purpose to everything under the sun as said in Ecclsiastes. However there is a difference between resting and laziness. Resting is to preserve energy to continue serving the Lord. Resting is not an excuse to be temporarily lazy because it is still sin. Even in a time of rest there needs to be discipline to set out quiet time for the Lord.

We buy snowblowers to clean short narrow driveways......then we buy gym memberships. ......we take elevators in every building we can instead of the stairs. .....then we buy gym memberships. ......we buy our wood split...cut in pieces..pay to have it delivered and piled up for us.....then we buy gym memberships. As church goers we preach against drinking...smoking...drugs...leave gluttony out of our judgements as we carry way to much weight. ...Lazy ness is not a desired quality of a professing christian...but it is everywhere in our churches. ...including the leaders.

      @koshfrey9724 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honest. Thank you.
My deals like that. Im so quick to tell myself all this hokum about "my anxiety"
This is the spirutual aspect of MY laziness, as it relates to me as Ive found myself after years of basically doing what i wanted.
My anxiety, is the product of desiring literally everything in my life to literally always be easier than it was before. I get anxious when i dont understand the literal every single step of an overall large process so for whatever reason. Fear of being taken advantage of..or perhaps fear there wont be any corners i can cut...and yep. Its laziness.
Even WORSE than the lack of growth. I utilize laziness in order to justify my pride and arrogance.
When im proud and out of touch with God (lets just consider that as being every moment until this comment and then immediately after) An overall private subconscious logical method might sound like:
Somebody hasnt thought this plan through. Ill find not only where theyve overlooked an easier or more "efficient" way, but ill vocalize the critique with a tone that says "youre doing this really poorly, and im speaking in a soft tone while critiquing you, meaning you shouldnt bother making me actually do more work to.show you"
This is how laziness and pride eat me from the inside out. Then i get to complain and moan about having "anxiety"
Im just a lazy controlling arrogant man.
Ive had alot of the things i think i was entitled withheld from me recently by a God focused person who must of seen something in me i didnt..
And ill tell you what...the smarter and more creative and satisfied with yourself you are, the less easily you will even dare to consider your issue as laziness.
      Yes.
If you read all this and hated it. Your lazy. Welcome to the club
      Trust Jesus!!

This was a great message! Very convicting. It's actually pretty sad that we have to be told to read our Word in the morning. Jesus has paid the ultimate price for us and is continually interceding for us, and yet we can't even set aside 30 min to spend time with him. It's crazy that we have to be GIVEN advice.

know some people that they are so lazy, they don't even want to feed themselves and have everyone doing almost everything for them and it's all FREE SERVICES. Call themselves believers in Christ.
Been working since 12 1/2 babysitting 5 cousins for 50 cents an hour and worked hard all my life. My children had a work ethic since 13. Both successful. and still working hard.
I fast one meal a day for over 2 years and pray... It's healthiest anyone can do physically, mentally and spiritual.
It's crazy but I am going to order a small harp and somehow learn how to play. No musical inclinations but my way to do worship at home.
    I am a senior in 70s.

It's ironic I don't wish to see the bed of snow because I dislike winter, and the cold weather stuff like snow and ice. Rain is kinda ok.

This is a very hard message for me to hear… one aspect I think he could’ve touched on as well is that it takes work to maintain relationships as well… laziness in that field is easy to fall into..

A great opportunity for growth? A job you hate. God will use the "unfulfilling" job to expose and change you (and me) from an entitled, comfort-driven person to one who serves Christ and others.

I'm currently studying (just started)for my Liscensure examination. I feel so down and frustrated that i don't know how to start. Thank you Lord for letting me hear this Sermon. I am blessed i was able to find out my problem, how lazy I am. I keep doing busy lazy, and had a lot of excuses.
May God bless each one of us. May God gives us guidance, wisdom and discipline.
Before this year ends i will go back in to this comment, and declare in the Name of Jesus that I will be an Engineer.

Work and career is the biggest area of attack from the enemy in my life and always has been-
But no more! I am ready. I am ready to stop laziness and the devil definitely does try to convince me I’m “doing the wrong thing” whenever I start something that could yield fruit in my life.
Please pray for me and send me your prayer requests too.
❤I don’t want to do the work of praying for you- so you should send me your prayers

Please pray for me I’m going through a time of disconnection with the Father and laziness is creeping up on me. I’m delaying all my work and I just need help.
