Pink Floyd's Great Gig In The Sky preformed by the Australian Pink Floyd. Lorelei, who has joined the show invited her sister to sing with her and we have it on video. Lorelei will be joining the band for the 2012 tour.
Durga, was the only backing vocalist to appear consistently on almost all of Pink Floyd's shows starting from the November 1987 concert at Omni Arena of the Momentary Lapse of Reason Tour up to the final concert of The Division Bell Tour in October 1994. She also performed on their appearance at the 1990 Knebworth festival and provided vocals for the album PULSE, as well as David Gilmour's 2001 solo tour.

Not almost all. I was on ALL of the shows from Nov '87 - Oct. 94, as well as David Gilmour's solo shows at The Royal Festival Concert Hall in 2002 in London, and then in Paris where I sang the Doctor's part with David on"Comfortably Numb". I am also lucky enough to be included on The Endless River, the last Pink Floyd album. Which makes 4 Pink Floyd albums in total for me ("Delicate Sound Of Thunder", "The Division Bell", "PULSE", and "The Endless River"). I am extremely proud and humbled to have been honored so much by people I so deeply respect. Singing this with my sister, and re-imagining it as a duet is also a real high point for me. I love singing with her - she taught me how to sing in the first place. This is , and will always be, for Richard Wright.
I literally have goose bumps. That has never happened before while listening to the album (as great as she was). You two are a powerhouse! Just... wow.

God Almighty has surely shined his Blessings on you ladies.. I have played drums with bands most of my life. The music of Pink Floyd has always been one of my personal favorites. It's so wonderful that Gods favor has allowed you to apply his gifts around the world not only with Pink Floyd but with best tribute act playing that allows you to "Shine on you Crazy Diamond" but the best part is that you have been able to do this with Durga. No disrespect to Clare Torrey... I love her voice too... But this is probably the best vocal performance I've heard of this.

Thank you for your praise! It is very challenging to sing, but emotion behind the notes helps. The song is about dying. First part is about fighting and denying it. The second part is about accepting it, and the third part is surrendering to it and in grace uplifting your soul. Rachel was sick in Venice and did the best she could with a bad throat. Thankfully she did much better in Versailles on the Delicate Sound of Thunder video.

Lorelei McBroom is a powerful and amazing singer who really brings it like no one else can. Both singers are so dynamic as they deliver more than just a song but a feeling. Their flawless quality is simply outstanding.
I'm a gruff, old, beat up Ironworker and I always get a tear in my eye when I hear this song.

So, I sat down at my keyboard to play this tonight and put this on to jam to. I didn't make it far before I just quit playing and sat there listening to Great Gig like I'd never heard it. I was paralyzed, hypnotized and mesmerized. Unreal, man. Just unreal. I love you ladies!

Clare Torry, the original voice when the song first came out, set the bar. I still believe she is the best. The others are very good indeed.
I agree with you 100% what Clare Torry did was one of those special things that only happen once in a lifetime not taking anything away from the Mc Broom sisters I think they were amazing but I think even they would have to agree clare torry done something very special

Wow! What a beautiful job the McBroom sisters did on this great gig! I've also seen the Pink Floyd growing up, with the McBroom sisters and Rachel Furry, I believe! The greatest of memories! They did such a great job on this song, it bright me tears!, as did the girls in Aussie Floyd, who we just seen in Milwaukee, Wi. In October 2014, Plus, my friend and I got to meet the great Lorelei McBroom after the show for pictures, autographs, and great conversion! It sure made for one heck of a spectacular evening! Great job McBroom sisters! Hope to see more of you two beautiful ladies working together in near future! Shine on!
Yes it was Rachel Fury that was on the 87-89 tour with the McBroom Sisters.
I saw these two sing it with the REAL Pink Floyd in 1988. I was just 17 years old, and that gig is a memory I'll never ever forget. Not seen any of the travelling PF tribute bands live yet, as I was always worried that after seeing the real deal, it would be a poor second best. However, I decided to find out... and I'm seeing the Aussie Floyd show in July at Jodrell Bank... an outdoor concert celebrating DSOTM's 40th anniversary. And my favourite band ever, Hawkwind, will be supporting them. :)
Rachel Fury and Durga sounded so awesome during that tour. especially how Rachel would harmonize on the first few bars with Durga. Special memories indeed. Philly 1988

I was lucky enough to see the Pink Floyd twice in two months in Oakland California, Then we flew to Denver Colorado to see the same show it was so awesome. When the great gig in the sky came on both shows, This big 6'6" tough guy was reduced to tears by Ms. Durga McBroom, Sam Brown, and Lorelei McBroom. They really brought up some emotions from my childhood i had no idea i had been stuffing for so long. They really ripped my heart out and i have to say i fell in love with those ladies. ^_^

I saw you at the 94 Division Bell tour in Yankee Stadium. It was a show that changed my life. It was so good it is seared into my memory as an amazing event that I will never forget. After seeing that concert all other concerts suck compared to it.
