For me at least it’s all pretty much dead. Damaged beyond repair. For example say they somehow pulled off a great movie with Luke Han & Leia to try to redeem their characters from the sequels and set the movie in a time after ROTJ. As long as the the sequels and most of Disney Star Wars is still canon to me we know Luke Han and Leia go out in such an underwhelming way in the sequels. Same with the Acolyte. If we accept those entries then we watch the OT and PT knowing the Jedi are shady backstabbers instead of “the guardians of peace and justice”. They screwed up other entries by with their trash. Kennedy won't leave DisneyLucasFilm until she's good and ready, which points to more business as usual. The coroner has spoken: Star Wars is dead. At least, the Star Wars that we knew before Lucas sold it to the Mouse and made bank four billion times over.
Disney promised one thing to Lucas and then stabbed him in the back. But, he did get a huge paycheck and donated a lot of it to universities and charities. I am pretty sure if he had walked onto the set and saw what was going on he would of been in KK office so fast her DEI hires could not slow him down. 'I want NO ONE who knows SW to work on this production"-plus a WTH to investors how do we as DISNEY lose almost 200 million when our show is barely above SyFy movie of the week quality?
3:35, nothing personal, but we wont, we really wont, it has been 5 years of "kennedy is on her way out of the door" we really wont know when her contract ends.
Consider there are 300+ novels published, is it so difficult to use that library to come up with multiple good series that everyone would like to watch.
I think the funniest thing about Disney's plan to cancel a bunch of stuff with Star Wars under KK, is that when Bob Chapek was in charge, he set her on a path of do nothings. He would give her meaningless tasks that took up her time, which is why Andor was so good, it had a lack of touch from Kathleen. Then when Chapek was fired, Iger came back in and put her back in her place, which in turn led to Boba, Mando S3, Ahsoka, and the Acolyte. it's wild.
If I could tell Iger something it would be restore Book of Boba and let it be told the way it was meant to be, and keep Kennedy away from it all. Let George Lucas come in and guide them straight again on his characters, if George can't fix it, then let it die and bury it. (just my opinion)
What’s unfortunate is that there are women in the Star Wars space that would’ve done an incredible job at the helm but Kathleen Kennedy isn’t a fan of Star Wars and I honestly believe she’s had it out for this universe since the very beginning.
I'm a cook. If I had someone come in and that customer was complaining about a manager as much as fans complain about Kathy, we would fire said, "manager" quicker then we hired him 😅
What upsets me the most about the Acolyte is the portrayal of Vernestra Rwo. I loved the High Republic series and she was truly a great character. Now the average viewer will have no idea who this b*tch even is because of how forgettable and jaded both the character and the actress playing her were portrayed.
I was so confused when Disney made a trilogy without planning it first and blamed its mediocrity on that. Now I realize they never had a chance to make a good trilogy, no matter how much time and effort they put in.
The only thing I feel bad about, is that Asian actor that learned English, Specifically for this role, and given his time to shine in a Star Wars production… Only to be handed dog 💩 and told it’s brownies.
Please Bob! Please drop 250 million on the Obaid-Chinoy led Rey movie asap! WE the true SW fans will decide the fate of OUR beloved IP with our wallets!
These things have been going on longer than we can imagine, videogames such as World of Warcraft and Studios like Naughtydog have also been ruined by Woke woman.
unironically, the only way for Disney move forward and retain any resemblance of a reputation is to completely remove agendas from its story telling... it's almost as if they never should have had agendas in the first place.
What blackmail material does KK have on the Disney bosses that prevents her being fired? It must be really juicy that she can continue to lose millions of dollars and retain her job. Please Disney bosses, fire KK and put Feloni/Favreau in charge of LucasFilm!
Disney needs to look over the manuscript that George Lucas left them to continue his story after he handed it over. They literally had the expanded universe to pull from but they decided to de-canonize those stories.
The acolyte literally looks like that failed Star wars theme park that cost $50,000 a night but looked like it was made by a bunch of teenagers in a garage
With how badly everything is working out, its almost as if Kennedy wants Star Wars to die. There is no one in the world who can look at her career and think otherwise.
I was a huge Star Wars fan. I saw Episode 4 in 1977 when I was 10. The quality under Disney just keeps getting worse and worse. I’m glad real SW fans are turning their backs on these terrible shows and movies and trying to force Disney into a higher standard. The fans deserve that. Everyone should be asking for better efforts. You can’t just automatically like it because it’s Star Wars. Fandom needs to be earned.
Marvel's Agatha series is great so far. And it has a diverse cast. Same with the Loki series. Clearly the problem with Star Wars is not DEI, and it's sad that any fan would claim such a thing.
I'm so glad to hear someone bring up Bob Igor how he's been lying about not trying to make Disney political. I've been hearing stuff about this guy for awhile.
KK is a DEI hire. Her credentials, personal barista to Steven Spielberg. Disney respected Star Wars so little from the beginning, they allowed her to be president.
with or without Kennedy, if they plan to continue w/ their DEI initiatives, they're doomed to fail.

As a sometime STAR WARS fan, I'll give Bob Iger some points right now for trying to right a sinking ship, but only E for effort. He will always be known for letting the situation get this bad.
I googled "George Lucas banned from the Acolyte set" and didn't get any results... is my Google broken? :) (you also misspelt the word "officially" in that "headline") Just went through some of the shorts from this channel... found audio glitches, sentences cut off midway through... this channel seems like its made by AI to rage bait clicks?
I really feel bad for the Stranger’s actor because he seemed to really be making the best possible pie he could given the mud he’d been presented with. Same with Ray Stevenson on Ahsoka, who’s performance was so compelling despite the poor writing, he actually had me wanting to know where the story was going (spoiler: nowhere).
Been tracking the lead-up to this as much as my sanity allows me to parse through to the actual facts... Disney for sure wasn't firing people out of hand, but had a team of people going office by office. Given the actual amount they've probably lost, they are concerned with the black holes money has gone into (not just the projects but smaller stuff), AND whether those black holes steer too close to money laundering which can get them in MAJOR trouble, and is honestly a possibility given the raw amount of cash that has been sucked up.
How do they still have their jobs? Who is their superior, and how have they not fired them by now? It's a pattern of failure that leaves fans in disgust every time. Hard not to think it's intentional at this point.
The most frustrating thing is that they're using their pandering as a shield. I'm LGBT, the pandering doesn't work, we just want good Star Wars please.

The biggest problem with Star Wars and Disney, is that it’s ultimately an ENTERTAINMENT firm. So its money is largely sourced by entertaining people and producing entertainment that customers would be prepared to pay for. What Disney has been producing is what they think the customer “should” want and not necessarily what the customers “actually” want. The lack of this basic economic common sense is outstanding. It’s the equivalent of running a stakehouse and suddenly radically changing the menu to only have Vegan food. Sure it’s inclusive but if stakehouse customers are no longer getting stake they will go elsewhere and buy less from the menu.
I think what's most discouraging to me about this whole situation is I don't see Star Wars making a recovery. Disney is just way too committed to DEI and all that other crap. It really does feel dead.
Disney played themselves. They clearly state those shows aren't made for me, so I've written them off. Now they'll have to EXPLICITLY say a show is made for me, AND convince me of it, before I'll so much as deign pirate them. But no matter what, they are never, ever getting me to subscribe to yet another streaming service. I have Netflix, that is already more than enough.

Just put Andor out and then sell Lucasfilm to people that care about Star Wars.
I challenge anyone to go back and watch Revenge of the Sith and tell me that wasn't good. I dare you
I've always loved the prequels, they have their flaws but they are an integral part of the story, a story that ended at episode 6.
it’s my favorite of the prequels(which on the whole are light years better than the KK content era)🤔
It tells a coherent story and feature some of the best lightsaber fights.
Which is more than I can say than anything in Disney’s era
"You were my brother Anakin!!"
That was the only one of the prequels that I liked. I could not stand the first two.
They produced entertainment, just not in the way that they thought.
What’s unfortunate is that there are women in the Star Wars space that would’ve done an incredible job at the helm but Kathleen Kennedy isn’t a fan of Star Wars and I honestly believe she’s had it out for this universe since the very beginning.
Maybe she was George Lucas's former lover and she's taking her revenge out of destroying his work. XD
Star Wars is like Godwyn the Golden, once beloved, now alive in body but its soul is gone, leaving a putrescent husk.
them admitting their failures is like guys not asking for directions
Usually when you suck at your job you get fired. WHY IS KATHLEEN STILL THERE
They need to be fired. 🤦🏼
The only thing I feel bad about, is that Asian actor that learned English, Specifically for this role, and given his time to shine in a Star Wars production…
Only to be handed dog 💩 and told it’s brownies.
Please Bob! Please drop 250 million on the Obaid-Chinoy led Rey movie asap! WE the true SW fans will decide the fate of OUR beloved IP with our wallets!
These things have been going on longer than we can imagine, videogames such as World of Warcraft and Studios like Naughtydog have also been ruined by Woke woman.
unironically, the only way for Disney move forward and retain any resemblance of a reputation is to completely remove agendas from its story telling... it's almost as if they never should have had agendas in the first place.
the 🐭needs to clean house and replace the current management of LucasFilms with individuals who truly care about the IPs 🤔
The shareholders voted to keep all this the same so I say weld everyone into their seats and let them ride this sucker to the bottom.
And yet, throughout all this chaos, nobody has heard anything official from Kennedy. Why isn’t she being interviewed???
Because she knows that she's a total failure and doesn't want to embarrass herself.
What blackmail material does KK have on the Disney bosses that prevents her being fired? It must be really juicy that she can continue to lose millions of dollars and retain her job. Please Disney bosses, fire KK and put Feloni/Favreau in charge of LucasFilm!
A Lucasfilm purge that keeps her, is no purge at all. Imagine you get a tumor removal surgery and the doctor just leaves it in...
I still can't believe *Somehow, Palpatine returned* is way better than whatever crapshoot they were tryna pull.
The brief fight scene around 3 mins is comedy gold.
So, the great fall begins....
If Iger has ANY sense at all then Kathleen Kennedy needs to be shown the door once her contract is up in October.
Disney needs to look over the manuscript that George Lucas left them to continue his story after he handed it over. They literally had the expanded universe to pull from but they decided to de-canonize those stories.
Obi Wan, Mandalorian and Skeleton Crew… the Star Wars Babysitter Trilogy
Just kick out Kennedy ... BOOM.
The acolyte literally looks like that failed Star wars theme park that cost $50,000 a night but looked like it was made by a bunch of teenagers in a garage
Honestly, I almost fear for the Mando and Grogu movie.
As a once famous actress said, weird, weird, but that’s Hollywood baby 🙄
Marvel's Agatha series is great so far. And it has a diverse cast. Same with the Loki series. Clearly the problem with Star Wars is not DEI, and it's sad that any fan would claim such a thing.
Whoever gave her the job is at fault
I'm so glad to hear someone bring up Bob Igor how he's been lying about not trying to make Disney political. I've been hearing stuff about this guy for awhile.
Get rid of both Iger AND Kennedy and make Jon Fareau head of Lucas Films
Bob and Jon stays but Kennedy has to go
KK is a DEI hire. Her credentials, personal barista to Steven Spielberg. Disney respected Star Wars so little from the beginning, they allowed her to be president.
Lucasfilm isn't crumbling, it's just smouldering ashes. I haven't heard people talk about star wars in years, it's lost it's warmth.
Everything was fine...until that episode of South Park.
with or without Kennedy, if they plan to continue w/ their DEI initiatives, they're doomed to fail.
(you also misspelt the word "officially" in that "headline")
Just went through some of the shorts from this channel... found audio glitches, sentences cut off midway through... this channel seems like its made by AI to rage bait clicks?
Just freaking give it to Filoni and Faverau with no creative restrictions, their childhood love of Star Wars shows in everything they do.
These people can’t help but project themselves onto everything…and the title of the Acolyte is another example.
It's not Lucasfilm any more it's KennedyFilm Remember Lucas sold it yes I know his name will forever be on it but he didn't have any control over what they do sad some should have said to him hey don't sell it to Disney but oh well shit happens. I only watch the old stuff the originals. But Even that I don't watch since Mark H. Said things bad about Trump So I'm sick of Hollywierd they don't deserve any money from no one.
If you don't watch something because some actor said some bad things about a guy running for office, then you are a snowflake. For me I don't like either option going into November, but I'm not going to be done with something just because someone bad mouths a politician. People are entitled to their own opinions, that's what Free Speech is for! You don't have to agree with someone, but at least have the decency to understand that people have their own opinion. As the saying goes "Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one!"
@@kellhound7227 OH So I say something That you didn't like Because one IT IS MY RIGHT TOO and MY OPINION you got to resort to Name calling ( Snowflake) My chose if I wish not to watch Star wars originals because of what someone says, not yours. I didn't call anyone names. Yet here you are doing that because it doesn't fit your narrow minded thinking and no I didn't call you names that is subjective to what your doing when you wrote your message to me. I don't have to agree with you and you the same but name calling wow your being childish there. Now the last bit you say toward Opinions I never say that about opinions. "As the saying goes "Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one!" that is your saying not mine. Have a Nice day.
People who blame Kathleen clearly don't know what movies she's worked on.... Back to the Future Trilogy, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, E.T, Hook...
I swore I would not see anything Disney made after The Last Jedi, till KK is gone.
Back in the day, Disney used to be all about making memories, and were a huge success.
Now all they are about is making money, and failing.
Some of the actors deserve better. I welcome them back in another setting. They should sue Disney for damage.
Banning George Lucas is like Banning a God after you bought the universe.
Having several big projects running like that was beyond regarded. That alone should have induced action to stop this nonsense.
Why is Iger fighting with Kennedy? Just fire her.
The first two seasons of Mando' laid the perfect groundwork for starwars and they pissed all over it.
KK is trying to destroy the legacy of Star Wars.
Gatekeeping is not an idea. It's the solution.
Why don't they just fire her already?! I really don't understand how she still has a job.
Waiting until her contract is up.
