I've been seriously considering 5/5/0, glad to see someone else mentioning 5/5 builds seeming pretty strong. I do wonder if echo bosses will pray, that definitely changes things!
5/5 is definitely viable, but it is a big skill check. You have to wear correct gear and swap according to style. As I love my gameplay brainless, I just go 4m 6r and run around with darts in full justiciar. No need for swaps unless I want to spec with melee weapon or zcb. Later swap the darts for Tbow and im all set :D
I think more people should consider going a semi-tribrid 5/3/2. Magic and Ranged have unique power spikes at tiers 2 and 3, respectively. T2 Mage is over 30% bonus damage, where other styles get closer to +20% at that level. T3 Range makes blowpipes, darts, and knives 1-tick, which alone doubles DPS. Buffing all three styles is particularly effective for raids that encourage lots of switches, such as CoX.
I’m picking 6 range 4 melee, Desert/Fremmy/Mory - no particular order. Mainly because I want to have fun ranging in full Dharoks with a 1 click switch.
Same here. But I was going Mory for blood shards primarily. But then realized with fremmy I have to choose between the jewelry or blood fury. I may switch to varlamore depending on how the progression looks
@ I considered that too but with range healing you every 5 hits at 1 tick blowpipe rate and the passive increasing healing percentage from all sources I figured it wouldn’t require a blood fury. Even better if running the resurrection relic.
Did you run any DPS calcs though? If you're going for DPS then mage has no relevance in any place, not even ToA (sure bring something for monkey room). It is never worth picking up a mage mastery unless you want to play for fun and get practise in for the real game. Melee gets beaten almost everywhere by ranged too. So as an off-style melee, your only relevance is Tekton and Guardians for Zeah and Nylocas for Morytania. Melee has no further relevance either as an off-style aside from some combat achievements (like Vorkath) perhaps. Your off-style only matters in a melee build with a Drygore or Toxic blowpipe. That's why melee is most fun because ranged still matters in CoX, ToA, Nylocas in ToB and the Inferno. Anyway, conclusion: it's always 6/4/0 or 4/6/0.
Those will be most builds by I dont see why you couldnt do 6/3/1 as well as you may not care about the healing from ranged. There will be things to mage that I wouldnt melee.. like bursting for example, or mage hand olm. But fun is a big part of leagues so people will run full mage too or hybrid builds
Im actually doing 1/6/3 I want 4t mage weapon for olm i can start with firesurge and future shadow wil also be 4t. Doing the 12:0 8:1 method with shadow in the main game is one of the hardest things to do movement wise i think. 3:0 is much easier to do. And the one point in melee should just make my spec more accurate for if i do end up doing cm for tekton. (A good spec there is halve the work) Maybe its not the best play because i have acces to some bonkers melee gear and 4t eldermaul does sound like fun aswel. But i think it will save me time on the mage hand on olm since dps trackers dont show you running the head only dps per tick. Comparing 3:0 to 2:0 ends in a 33% dammage loss unless your actually cracked and can do 12:0 and 8:1 it will be better. Not sure how it will look like in team raids but id assume its kind of awkward with 5t and with mage not being a popular pick this time, I'm sure id be a popular pick for people wanting to do cox.
Its not too bad, similiar to 6/2/2. Not going to be too common but can get the job done. Not going to be as strong as 6/3/1 because of range speed down but 2-tick is much easier to use than 1t, just half the dps.
Definetely, but Its not always about dps. Fun factor is huge for me and I could see range getting a little boring by comparison. To each their own of course.
@@kenshin1368I'm going ranged since I want to be able to see myself machine gun down my enemies. Also, playing Clueman Mode as well and my selection of relics would benefit from me mowing enemies down as fast as possible.
Watched this whole vid and not once did you bring up the passives until the end, literally grazed over t6 passive. Do you know you don’t need them for echo bosses or something? I hope 5/5 builds get stomped doing their echo boss. Can’t imagine Sol or DKs with no t6 combat relic lol Good Luck !
Well I didnt bring up the passives until the end because every build had t6 until the builds at the end lol. We have no idea how impactful its going to be and I doubt they'd kill build diversity by putting a gamechanging passive at the end. T3 and T1 are probably the best passives there and that seems intentional.

@@spudchungus I click switch to Dharoks with 1 hp is gonna be so much fun 😂

If I didnt need the extra echoes for my sunlight spear, i think id so this build for these exact reasons.

I feel like the only person going 6/1/3. 2t drygore with the +100% damage and baseline 30% min. hit sounds more than enough

If you dont pick ranged this league you are missing out on dps.

Oh look, some nobody who thinks they’re going to be the top 1% in a temporary for fun game mode. Go sweat somewhere else
