Nice FAT AIRS Vas😱!!! The Kraton Beast takes such a thumping 👊. Not sure if you've heard of the motor wire mod, but it's simple and keeps the blue motor/ESC wire from getting chewed up by the pinion/spur. Just drill a small hole through both upper ends of the plastic wire retainer and run a skinny zip tie through them to lock the wires in. It happened to me twice after hard, big track jump landings and the ESC wire got ravaged 😥. An ounce of prevention🤔. Never again I say. 🍻😨😨😎💪👊👊
The Kraton chassis is just so unbelievably sorted it's sick.

Aww man. I have seen a ton of these ARMAs around here lately at the tracks. I want one so bad! I love the wide wheel base and low stance this truck has. A couple guys had a few on 6S a few months ago on the street. I was like uhhh I think that might be too much on the road? He blew two tires on the second speed run. lol. Im no expert but I know brushless motors and power! haha. You drive great man. Keep killing it!
I love this truck. It lifted the bar so high for rtr that Traxxas seem to have finally addressed the shortcomings of the Erevo. No small thing making Traxxas redesign something. Would love to see a side by side comparo of the Erevo 2.0 and the Kraton when the opportunity arises.

Those stock tires seem to do well in that surface. I've been running the Outcast backflips in mine. Such a great tire. Just a bigger badlands.

How does yours not overheat on the 14t pinion on 6s, with the stock Blx system? Should I be running a different power system, or gearing down 1 or more teeth on the pinion? I've mostly only run 4s, it just seems to me, that with ambient temps. on the higher end 14t on the pinion feels like it is right on the limit for general bashing, I don't know. Seemed like a good video to post this as my Kraton is still mostly a stock v3.

Hey Vas, why don’t you also review the Typhon 6s 2018 edition, I was considering it to race at my local rc track, I currently have a Losi 8ight 4.0 nitro and I wanted to get in electric racing. I’ve heard that the new typhon is a beast but I would also like to know what you think! Thanks man.

How much run time do you get on the Kraton from 6s battery setup?
Could you do a video on the BG1510 and then put a brushless system in it. You can find how to do it on the creative channel also could you do a speed test on it stock and upgraded. Would really be appreciated if you did.

I run 200k in my center diff. Totally different truck. Breaks up the power to more of a 50/50 front and rear.

I only run mines on 6s with the 2 3s 5400mah 50c batteries and the optional pinion gear, it sure puts your throttle control to the test. One slight pull of the trigger will make flip on it's back like a turtle, fun stuff what an Amazing RC
There is a guy locally that has one of these for sale, and he is claiming 70+ MPH out of the box, and over 100+ MPH with the optional gear. Is he smoking something, or are these capable of those speeds?

Vas, I'd love to see the new E-REVO 2.0 take on those jumps you did at the end of the video and survive unscathed. I've been hearing a lot of talk about how great it's going to be, but I'm not sold. Landing into the face of a huge jump at 50 or so mph over and over without damage is a testament to the ruggedness of this BEAST! 👊
RedBeard RC, agree! Vas, pretty please test the e-revo 2.0 once it comes out. I would love to see how it compares (or doesn’t) to the Kraton. I love my Kraton, my e-revo hasn’t been touched since since the Kraton arrived.

I’ve had my Kraton out 6 times and two different times the suspension arm broke and now I think the servo has stripped gears... I haven’t even jumped the thing...suspension arms broke from minor cartwheels... no idea why the servo is messed up!! 70% of the running I’ve done is straight aways! Kinda disappointing... it’s the only nice RC I have and I’m afraid to run it! 😂

Every Kraton breakage is from a LOT of abuse, as this video shows.
For the shock rod to bust as well as steering servo teeth, then you’re hitting the arm VERY hard.
Those cartwheels would be hitting with some serious force.
Imagine doing this with UDR or Erevo...

A bit of both, actually. The Big Rock is a unique truck; it's brushless with lots of power, but you can lock each diff or unlock them. If that's something you need or want to experience, then go for it. If you want a good all-round basher that's easy to work on and can roll with the best on the market, then go the Kraton. But if you choose the Big Rock, then look after it because parts could be an issue.
