    Hey Juli, I tried this last night, but when frying the fish, the skin was sticking to the pot and started coming off. Is it because the oil was not hot enough? I have a gas stove. We pretty much had little parts of fish instead of the entire head or tail lolol.

    • @Howtocookjamaican
      @Howtocookjamaican  8 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      definitely
      whenever frying fish
      the oil has to be really hot so it doesn't stick
      make sure there is no water on the fish as well

    Thumbs up definitely trying this one, but need to know how u fry your fish without the oil splashing all over the place (fraid a hot oil) also what do u use to get the fish smell out the house? Thanks

    • @Howtocookjamaican
      @Howtocookjamaican  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thnx MIH fren
      to get out the fish smell
      when you frying the fish get a small pot of boiling water put fresh lemon or lemon juice in it and let remain boiling on very low heat
      the entire time you cooking the fish it works really good
      and remember
      clean up with bleach it kills all jerm

    What if u don’t have any browning?
    Could use soya sauce?

    • @Howtocookjamaican
      @Howtocookjamaican  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you sure can
      But be sure to use less salt Beacause salt is in the soy sauce

    • @babegurlmisheila
      @babegurlmisheila 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +leanne burlaka You can find Browning at any west indian grocery store. I see Browning at Walmart if you are in the greater Toronto area.

    • @Howtocookjamaican
      @Howtocookjamaican  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +leanne burlaka YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN
      JUST ADD A FEW TEA SPOON COOKING OIL AND AND HALF CUP SUGAR.....LOW HEAT FOR 5 MINUTES....OR UNTIL IT GET DARK IN COLOR
      DONT OVER COOK IT....IT WILL BURN AND BE BITTER......ADD A LITTLE WATER...AND POUR IT IN A CLOSED CONTAINER......U WILL HAVE BROWNING FOR AWHILE
