Thank you so much for a great class. I started painting in my early sixties and I hope I have enough time in my life to at least master the basics. There is so much to learn! I enjoy your classes I have watched and I immediately subscribed. I love painting florals and animals but I am up to learn it all. I have found that 300 lb cotton paper takes many layers but I often get carried away and overwork, when I should have stopped sooner. How do you know when enough is enough with layering? Thank you also for the free lesson. I look forward to taking advantage of your generosity. I'm happy I found you. Best wishes.

This is a fantastic panoramic painting. You have shown very clearly the essential three layers method and cleared my earlier confusion. I especially loved the superb closeup photography you have done. One of your finest videos so far Nitin. Thanks so much for uploading.

This was a wonderful lesson on layering. You mentioned the play of light. In this context a lesson on mixing colors for shadows would be nice. As also a normal color mixing lesson for a landscape. Please consider.

You are extremely talented! Every time I do water coloring my first layer is always to dark & try to keep it wetter like a wash layer but end up with dark red & then now way can add more? Never know which colors to choose to layer & then choose one & then just cover whole area just to dark? How can I know which colors to layer as not great at seeing where needs shadows (which color) & then highlights) & never had any lessons?
They come out pretty but feel if could learn how to choose my colors to layer & not go in so heavy but each time I try get the same? Ty for this video as know need to learn how!

@@NitinSinghwatercolorpaintings About 50 years ago, when my father taught me to draw, he taught me to copy and study UK watercolor paintings. I just copied and studied, and didn't care about the author's name. At present, I am in Osaka, Japan. I can't go back to my old house because of the epidemic. I'm very sorry.

One of the most impressive works is the stone bridge with light skin tone and the old buildings on the side. The other is an old ship on the dock.

@@anandsr7032 Ok , ideally it shouldn’t happen . The other reason I could think is dapping & doing too many unnecessary strokes which can activate low layer pigment and mix with second layer causing a mess.

Do my eyes deceive me??!! The picture I saw you painting was from an entirely different pespective than the finished one shown at 9:23. Yes? No? In the finished picture the light is coming from the right, whereas all through the tutorial, the light is coming from the left -- as shown in 6:43. Another thing that bothered me since this point in the video, here at that 6:43 point, is the fact that the largest building right in the center should certainly cast a shadow on the lower roof behind it, but no, it is brightly lit; it is an odd oversigh for such an accomplished artist as you are, Nitin.

    • @-mindscape-4988
      @-mindscape-4988 2 ปีที่แล้ว

No.. its not your eyes, but your brain is certainly deceiving you. It really takes a tiny speck of grey matter to understand that the image in the video at 9:23 is a flipped image

@@-mindscape-4988 Why would you do that?

    • @-mindscape-4988
      @-mindscape-4988 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@jjroseknows777 Nobody does that on purpose. Its not an issue at all. He probably took the photo on his mobile where you have something called mirror output. We need to turn that option off to get the correct image. Many Image editing softwares can also flip the image. Nitin probably missed that part. Nevertheless again, it isn't an issue at all.
