I might be in the minority here, but I’m glad you posted this video. I’m trying to make up my mind between Aruba and Curaçao, and coming off the heels of Antigua, I was a little nervous about it being south Florida.
First of all no wonder your channel name is "Mad Traveler"😂😂😂! So why do we always complain made in China? Imagine back in the days that no made-in-China option, we couldn't afford anything unless we spent diamonds. If you stay a little bit longer there are many expensive luxury stores in Aruba, you can go to The Renaissance Mall includes Louis Vuitton, Prada, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Carolina Herrera, Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Chopard, David Yurman, and Cartier. Nightlife in Aruba is so much fun but I guess it depends on the person, my self I love Aruba, planning to go there again next year.
I am a little concerned that you say you spent a "LONG time researching the place" but you didn't research the things that make the visit and travels less stressful. Little things, such as...when does the restaurant I want to eat at open, or having cash available when you get off the cruise ship. I can't take the input seriously with such conflicting information. Spend a week. Relax. Refresh. It is better than any other island I have been to. But each person has their own home.
He got off the ship @ 7am on Jan 1st after New Year's Eve, of course, people still sleeping and may have got a hangover. When my family and I were there 5 years ago, we stayed up at least 1am, spending time in the nightlife walking around eating outside then back to our place tired, and we got up around 9:30am the next day, who wanted to get up 7am if you were there for relaxing vacation.
Rent out the ABC chalet in Savaneta and get your own truck and live like you how you want to. That’s how we do it and we go back year after year. We just came back a week ago. Love Andicuri and Boca Grandi. Edit: I would hate to go to to the resorts there by Eagle and Arashi. Stay in Savaneta, live among the locals and your eyes will open. Orjnestad is too fancy for me but good to visit once while there.
The video could've been titled: "Clueless American cruise tourist bungles Aruba outing with weak Kurtwood Smith impersonation". Obviously if you wander on foot from the touristy cruise terminal early, you'll find not much but touristy junk not open. Do it right with some money next time. Your video is like a frat boy wandering into a world-class museum and complaining about the decor in the bathroom, or why aren't there better gift-shop selections or better free Wifi...
Hahah. I'm enjoying all these attacks I must say! Still waiting to hear one person say, "you should have seen x, y, and z." Been to Aruba twice and found little to do aside from lounge on the beach. I had no idea Arubans were so sensitive. I guess the fact that I prefer islands that have more interesting geography, are more lush, green and hilly is a crime against humanity. Just get over it!

Aruba is amazing ❤ you should try to stay at a resort then do a review few hours don’t do it justice.
Traveling all that way for a beach and beer I can get in Florida makes zero sense.
This video was so different! I enjoyed it. A little slice of reality.

If you wanted to hear something positive about Aruba, why did you click into a video titled, "I'll Never Go Back to Aruba." Asking for a friend.
