So very sad to see and hear what the people of James Smith Cree nation have gone through.I pray everything they need to get through the long healing journey will be provided for as long as it takes. The three things the Chiefs are asking for are vital for their people. Treatment centers with well-trained and equipped people, their own justice system, and policing. They need the rest of Canada to stand with them and speak out to see this become a reality across Canada for all aboriginal communities. The words spoken by the chiefs about the federal parol and justice system are truths that seriously need to be listened to and acted upon by all levels of government. I pray for these changes to begin to come into fruition this horrific senseless tragedy should never happen again anywhere.
I can't even imagine the pain and suffering of the James Smith Cree Nation community. My thoughts and prayers are with the families that have lost loved ones and I wish a speedy recovery to those that have been injured. May the community find comfort and strength in each other.
This is tremendously heartbreaking. Something happened here that has wounded an entire community. For what it’s worth I stand with the people of James Smith. I wish you healing.
My heart goes out to them but I am also angry that 59 prior criminal convictions were not enough to lock Myles up and keep the community safe. Warnings were obviously not heeded about him.
To let you all know that guy that died he’s my uncle I miss him I am praying for my mama and papa there because they were by the stabbing I got scared I was praying
This needs to be seen by many more people. It is horrifying. I send my deepest condolences to the victims family members. Terrible situation. The James Smith area needs its own tribal policing, more help for addicts, and more money for rural first nations areas. Poverty is a serious problem and housing. Nobody is seeing this because the alleged perpetrators died so story left media attention.
Within the first 30 seconds of watching, I was brought to sobbing tears 😢 Tribal police, addiction recognition and treatment centers, aboriginal justice and sentencing guidelines and principles need to be reiterate, revamped and at applied accordingly by the indigenous communities according to their customs and traditions while also abiding by today's human rights laws. There's so much wrong with Canadian society today that it's pretty much beyond repair. In my humble and personal opinion, my indigenous relatives are perhaps the best hope that exists of the earth surviving and of any species having a long-term future, including nature. If we all understood the world, nature, and the interconnectedness of these relationships with humans, animals, all living things both animate and inanimate, beginning with the Great Creator - there'd be so much more respect, appreciation and love for everything surrounding us. Rather than destruction, it would be about preservation and using only what we absolutely need. It's about balancing the give and take while being able to survive without relying on materialistic items or wealth, but instead relying on our relationships with nature, animals, natural resources, the Great Creator's provisions and carefully knowing how to utilize these without depleting such resources completely like the world is currently doing with gas, oil, fresh water, coal, etc. We all need to come together and make changes in solidarity to ensure that we are heard loud and clear, and to show that we're not going to take it anymore!! 💕💪
My heart goes out to everyone! So sad! ❤️☮️

When a dog is vicious people understand it needs to be put down but with a human they don't understand they need to be put away?
The tribe and community hid this guy from the RCMP for months, funny how none of the chiefs are mentioning that.
BINGO
Blessed Be to all people 🙏🏼
the worst thing that could happen now is have the fool of Canada justin drama trudeau appear. or do his empty drama speech.
10 people killed & 19 people wounded but the only voice we're hearing from is the guy who blames this on systematic oppression and not the killer? 🤔

there is 2 sides to every story. I guess they didn't want his side to be heard.

Sadly true.
I feel for your loss but I don’t like the excuses you’re making for killers among you…..
