Changing your mindset is a huge! Towards the end of my pregnancies I started to really get anxious and thought everything meant it was time. I pray for a safe and healthy delivery and baby!!!

Thanks for watching!! I'm sorry you're experiencing this, I just posted my labor video today where I talk about how prodromal labor was actually helpful!

I’m 38 weeks and 4 days and I’ve been experiencing this since 34 weeks, I’ve already confirmed with my OB that it was prodromal labor and it’s so rough the longer it carries on because each night it gets worse. I’ll be induced at 39 weeks (which is just a few days away!) due to the struggles I’ve had with it. But your symptoms are the same as what mine are. I’m glad you had a good delivery ❤️

Thank you for your input! I’ve had all the symptoms of prodromal labor the past couple days and it is so hard to sleep. I like that thought, “I won’t be pregnant forever.”

This is the most reassuring video! This has been happening for me for 2 weeks and i broke today i went back to the ER because i have a history of preterm labor and I’m only 29 weeks so it’s sooo frustrating because idk what to ignore and when to go because of my history! I greatly appreciate you making this, i needed to hear this!!

36 weeks and experiencing the same thing! I had to go to the ER and they said it was false labor. Contractions have gotten progressively more intense but they stay inconsistent :/

I have never heard of Prodromal Labor. I am sorry you had to go through all this. You haven’t posted in awhile so I’m guessing you maybe had the baby already. I hope all is well.

39 weeks and 5 days, I started having cramps last night at around 4am. It’s now 7:54 and I’m having them in and off. I was typing on my notes every time I have them but now I feel
Like it’s random or constant? A little hard to explain and I don’t feel like recording them lol. I may be having this. But also I’m due in like 2 days estimated (first baby)

It’s been a week of just inconsistent contractions that are like 10 minutes apart for several hours and then go away, a week ago I might have lost part of the mucus plug bloody show thing, pressure, cramping, back pain, and of course conveniently, the contractions stop each time they put me on the monitors but one of my doctors said if it’s back labor it won’t be detectable on those monitors. It’s so frustratingggg and I have a chronic pain condition and it’s just burnt me out sooo much and I just want it to be over-I have no energy left to prepare or socialize and I’m just so defeated. I don’t even know where to start in my Bible and prayer. I’m trying to find it in me to change the mindset to something like this.

Wait wait wait hold on I was typing this while you were talking and I have EDS too hahaha 😂 also why I don’t want an epidural! My hips have been subluxing this whole week and it’s so painful after awhile
I just randomly found this video and now I want to follow all your other things

@@sierraduran1293 Hi Sierra! I'm so glad you found some encouragement here - this mindset I worked up took A LOT of work and intentionality and it was hard! But looking back, I wouldn't have it any other way. I did cherish that time alone with the Lord before our little one came and I know that God's timing was perfect. I hope everything goes well for you! I'd love to hear how it does! :)

Something I wish that I would have done more before I had my first, was to have enjoyed my pregnancy more instead of being so focused on her being here....just enjoy the remaining of your pregnancy while you can. Soon enough you'll get to hold your little blessing.

Thank you so much for sharing this!!! I’m 36 weeks & have been experiencing the exact same symptoms. My contractions are SO painful at night for days now & they’re so strong during the day. They’ve been 5 min apart for DAYS. They also don’t go away no matter what I do. & my OB said I’m not in labor. 😫 I have no clue when to go to the hospital bc I have all the symptoms & the contractions are consistent. It’s so frustrating & confusing. When did you end up delivering & how did you know??

You should check out my labor video!! My water ended up breaking! The plus side is they say prodromal labor can cause a faster labor and my labor was really fast! But I would say just listen to your body and keep calling and going in if you want to be checked. I ended up going into triage several times because there was no other way to be sure, and I'm glad that I was on top of it since my labor was pretty fast. But ugh I'm sorry! That was the worst and just made me want my baby so bad! I would love to hear how everything goes for you ☺️

39+5 now and having prodromal labor for 10 days now with the last two days being quite painful with contractions going down to 2-4 minutes apart. 😅 How long after this video did your baby arrive? Also, your mindset if beautiful!

I also have hEDS and I’m also a Believer!!!!!! 32+3 weeks and could’ve shot this video myself! Had no clue what was happening till I started researching my symptoms and saw your video. Another video by a midwife said that in her experience those that go through this type of pre labor contractions have a easier labor and delivery when the time does come!!🥰 Was that your experience? I realize this video is over 2 years old but I hope you read it.💞
I do have a history of preterm delivery at 36 weeks and currently have a cervical cerclage that will be taken out in 25 days!! (October 5th). We live in Laguna Niguel in Southern Orange County, California and the extreme heat isn’t helping and the past day we have had sudden rain from the hurricane in Mexico.
With my hEDS recently I’ve been dealing with hip instability and a flat out dislocation last week that had me in the hospital. Also was diagnosed with PGP…😣 Sooooo glad I found your channel!!!

So glad you could find something relatable!! YES I think all the prodromal labor symptoms made my labors much quicker! I'm sorry about your hips, I had that much more with my second than my first - lots of PT which I definitely recommend with eds! I hope things go okay for you!!

I’m going through this now I’ve been in false labor for almost a week now and I’m actually in a lot of pain with my contractions but they aren’t consistent. Lost my plug painful contractions baby dropped back pain the whole nine yards even went in to get checked and I’m still only 1cm 50% effaced. I’ve been really patient but it’s so hard to enjoy the rest of your pregnancy when you have constant pain. I just want my baby now 😭

    • @NicoleKauffman
      @NicoleKauffman  4 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes, I totally get this feeling!! I definitely stand by my recommendation to try to slow down and enjoy some quiet moments!! Your baby will come and I hope soon!! I'm sorry for the pain! I hope it helps active labor progress quicky for you (it did for me as I'll be sharing in my labor video!)

Krysta how did this net out for you? I am in the same boat. Having consistent "contractions" for 3 days that are really painful, I feel like crying as this is very drawn out - more than I anticipated. I'm also only 1cm dilated and 50% effaced

roskidd sorry I didn’t get notified of this. I ended up getting induced a week late lol 36 hours of labor but I have myself a baby now haha. Hope everything goes/went well for you!

My daughter is in 36 week labor if some sort so this was very informative. How many days or weeks later did actual labor and delivery happen?
