True or not, it's a plausible theory that she would be laid to rest in the family vault rather on a small island with water nearby.

The idea of Diana being buried on an island is too keep her true grave protected from the public. If on the island eventually she would be in water, I dont believe her brother or anyone would want that. May Diana forever rest in peace.

My belief is that Diana is not on the island but in the church at Althrop with her family - Gone, but never forgotten. Bless you, Diana Rest now my princess.

The more I think about it, the more I believe she is NOT on the island. The water table being too high is exactly the reason why she is not and cannot be there. People do not know that the security was always at the church. They are a noble family and it makes sense. Also, it is not safe to have tons of people walking over a room beneath a floor that was created hundreds of years ago. People would always be taking chips off as mementos. The water table is the reason why it is not legal to bury her there as it would not just rot the body, but pollute the lake and wildlife habitat.
I used to believe she was there, as I had no other reason not to until the credible water table theory came to my attention, and looked into the legal ramifications of it myself.

Shes most definetley buried in the church. If you walk round by George Washington's grave there is a flashing motion sensor, also someone who left a photo of Diana by the gate is also a big giveaway. The fact that the vault was sealed two days after the funeral also gives rise to the theory. Great video, her resting place is in beautiful surroundings

I have visited the church and the Spencer estate before. Its a very peaceful little church. My family visited it just after Diana's death and got speaking to an elderly lady from the village whilst in the village shop. She asked if they were intending to visit the island grave and then proceeded to say that it was common knowledge in the village that she wasn't buried there. She said on return to the estate she had been moved to a crematorium then her ashes were interred with her father, which had been Diana's request. Also most of the spencers in the church's vault had been reopened and cremated by Diana's grandfather? Due to lack of room and some financial difficulties on the estate at that time. A guide on the estate confirmed the cremation of the remains of Diana's ancestors due to finances on the tour but obviously wouldn't be drawn on Diana's resting place.
We will never know the truth but RIP Diana and thanks for your informative videos

I know someone who lived in the village all his life and he said the day before her funeral the church had lights on all night and lots of police guarding the church and lots of activity and people were kept away , he said she’s there in that church , the village is very quiet they wouldn’t want coach loads of people swamping the village ❤

I am watching this on replay I have visited Althorp a total of six times, since Diana died on my last visit, the person working in the Church accidentally slipped it out that the Princess was buried there!! She looked at me and my friend with an expression of oops, realising what she had done!!!

Used to pass by that church regularly whilst working in Northampton c.2008. Clearly recall on one occasion seeing three black big posh cars parked outside with a number of large security men standing outside (not a funeral). Who could have been visiting? And who were they visiting?
He was saying Nelson Mandela visited her grave but at the island.Could of went to both places.
Just my own thoughts. But if it were my mom. I would not want her buried on a little island. My first thoughts would be how deep before it just goes to water underneath. An Okay second thought water would be really soaking the dirt, how long till it gets enough dirt to leave the side there, and part of her casket, or ern is in the water. I wouldn't want anything like that to even be a possibility. That would bother me.
She is absolutely not buried on the island.

i'm still in belief that the Princess will be with her father & ancestors resting place. We don't know if Mandela was taken to the church and to the memorial site on the island if she was cremated maybe ashes scattered in both places just my opinion . Rest in Peace Diana

A friend of mine was in the now disbanded Princess of Wales Regiment. who were the bearer party at Althorp House. He knew the bearers and Diana was put on the island There are drone images of the island and you can definitely see a proper burial site and there seems to be a heavy concrete vault on the island. I think that is how they got around the burial issues by constructing a vault to place her in and not a grave sunk into the ground. Charles Spencer did initially open the vault in the church to bury Diana in but changed his mind. Cynically you could say it would draw in more visitors if Diana was buried on the estate. He certainly profited from her death with that exhibition he put on after she died. I gather that temple by the lake is more like a stage set and made from wood as well. I met a couple from the village on holiday a few years after Diana died and they wondered if Diana was moved to the church as it was closed off but having talked to my army friend, I think she is on the island.
My question is, why would the Spencer family want Princess Diana’s burial place to be kept a secret, instead of making it public knowledge and allowing people to visit her grave, especially since lady Di was loved by many people. Not because she was once royalty, but as a human being, she truly was a special person who cared for others.
It may come as a surprise but not all people are respectful or would have good intentions.
And the amount of visitors would flood the little village.
I really don’t know where her final resting place is, not sure what the truth may be. I just can’t see them putting her on a small island alone and with the possible water issue. As much as she loved other people and her loved ones, I really can’t see the family making that decision, but then again they may have??

I just dont understand why her brother would float her around on that little island. Why would he not put her with her family and and at his house by herself? Did he want to keep her to himself? Her security isnt too good if she is on the island with a boat sitting close by. Will he have himself buried out there too and spend eternity with her? Weird. Maybe the news will come out someday. Mother of the future King. I have no idea where she would be buried but the pond just seems odd. I would love to see in there. Could it be arraigned for you to get a tour to where you just looked in? Seeing the effigies would be awesome!

You know, I was thinking maybe the reason he buried her at the pond is so he could charge money for people to walk in and pay their respects just as you did. Did they charge you admission to get on his property LT? If so how much? Maybe his grand idea behind this was a money scheme.

I think shes in Windsor Castle, the vault. Mother to the future King, shouldn't be resting anywhere else. The Spencer homestead, is just a money grab by the brother.

I never knew there was a conspiracy theory about Diana’s final resting place, but it makes perfect sense when you think about it, why would she be interned on an island in the middle of a lake where no one is allowed to pay their respects? You’ve certainly uncovered a potential story here which I think there’s more to come in the future. Good potential subject for future videos ‘conspiracy theories’ 🤔
