Ha! I've been doing the crop/aspect ratio thing you do here for years. If the edge is also relatively homogeneous horizontally, you can sometimes also grab a sliver and expand it out. Doesn't look perfect, but much better.
The Merge shapes (Intersect) does not work for me. Result was seemed like the video covering the entire text box and not showing the text at all. I'm interested to get this right. Where did it go wrong? Appreciate your comment. Im using Microsoft 365 for Mac
