This video dropped just in time for me! I have been noticing how cold and intimidating I come across in public. I don't mean it intentionally, it's due to insecurity and anxiety 😭 You're such a feminine and positive mentor/fairy godmother/angel. Thank you always ❤️

I totally get it, I feel extremely anxious and insecure in public which causes me to hang in a corner, not smiling, and people think I'm mean or arrogant but actually I would love to talk to somebody, I just can't

You guys don't understand how walking straight with your head up high and a slight smile changes everything.
I'm very shy but it has helped with my confidence so much! Also people on the street used to look at me but now i even turn heads and a lot of people smile at me 💕

@thinkpink6796 it doesn't have to be a full-blown smile or laugh. It's just a small smile that signifies you're having a good day or you're with yourself

I’m a robust feminine woman. I bodybuild, chop wood, do yard work, cook, clean and more. I find that every brand of femininity is beautiful. I always walk with my head high, chest pointed in the same direction as my head, my hands gently at my side or held together when I speak. I smile often and I enchant by turning mh head so slightly. I’m for the lumberjack. For the hero, the strongest of men. And yet, I’m gentle.

My psychotherapist says that I look unapproachable naturally. That's not a good foreign exchange, right? I can't help that, it's how I look - probably there are ladies with similar problem. So what the therapist advises is to incorporate some inviting gestures. This video was about that and I thank you, Lisa.

Actually, I AM kinda depressed, I HAVE kinda "given up," I DO feel insecure. However, I love your recommendations because you highlight practical behaviors that we can choose to consciously implement (such as good posture) regardless of feeling insecure. By doing these things, self-confidence will naturally increase and other people will also respond more positively to you. I'm not terribly naturally beautiful, and aging/stress/grief have taken a toll. But, you give tips that I can implement today, starting NOW. I can practice these choices and begin to exude a different type of energy--even without having money to spend on my clothing and appearance and even though I struggle with insecurity inside. Watching your videos is a great reminder to help pull me back towards the kind of energy I WANT to embody and gives me courage to improve the way I present myself.

Wonderful and helpful video! Body language is like a science of its own because everything that someone can do can represent something whether it be approachable or not. One thing that I have been working on myself is keeping an eye contact with those that I speak with. It was difficult at first but overtime, it becomes second nature and you become more confident in what you're saying to the other.
Looking forward to your next video!

Lisa, this is such an important video! I used to be guilty of all of these because I was never the 'pretty' one. But once I got past the age where I worried about it (and got the gap in my teeth fixed!) I now work on drawing others in, on making THEM comfortable. I approach others, I have made it my mission to spread love joy and happiness- and it has made a HUGE difference in my life. Nobody cares if I am not gorgeous, I am friendly and caring and brighten up a room. It's so hard to explain, but it isn't about what you look like but what you radiate. And if you radiate JOY you will be valued everywhere you go. Stop worrying about what others think and just get out there and make the world a better place! :)

Hey I'm clumsy! I always look at the ground while I'm walking so I don't trip! Lol Although, there aren't any normal sidewalks here either... In nice towns where the ground is well designed, then I do hold my head up because I'm looking at everything around me. :D Something that people do that always makes me feel like they're unapproachable is when they cut you off every time that you speak after you've managed to get out maybe 3 words. After they've done that 2 or 3 times, I stop talking and usually excuse myself.
The tiny town where I live has a vastly different culture to anywhere I've ever been and people have this attitude that eye contact is rude. My sisters father in law was telling me a story about his gramma, and I was paying attention and listening so i was looking him in the eye, and he looked at me with such a rage, it was bizarre. But it just goes to show how different cultures can be.

@@Lisaglamour Lol, maybe! I've been told people feel "seen" when talking to me. It's an old Native American town and I don't know very much about what traditions are still passed on, so who knows. I hope you have a beautiful day Lisa and as an awkward autistic woman, I thank you deeply for giving such great guidance on how to carry myself more gracefully in social settings. 💜

there's this trip im going on and i'm not in any way excited at all. these girls who are known for being catty will be there and in the past, have been incredibly demeaning towards me. they act kind but often give backhanded compliments and play off their insults as "mere" jokes. i usually just ignore or respond with "you think so? hmmm i don't know" laugh and brush it off to appear as if i'm not offended/bothered in a soft manner. but sometimes they ask the most personal/outlandish/triggering questions to me in front of a bunch of people in a room and this is where i have absolutely no idea what to do. i try to keep myself composed and maybe sip a bit of water to have time to think about what to say but my brain just goes blank. these girls already know they shouldn't be doing that but they have this trait where they like to control everybody's perception of you. putting my foot down would like asking for war when it comes to them so what i do is i'll try laughing it off but then they'll persist and keep asking. how is one to deal with these types of girls? or how do you appear calm and composed when confronted with highly highly uncomfortable situations?
when you're being openly bullied or belittled, how do you respond in a way that is feminine, respectable, and where people's perception of you doesn't change? i am someone who is and likes to be seen as professional, feminine, soft, but firm when needs to be.
but to answer your question at the end of the vid.. i find that when i'm nervous i subconsciously fiddle/play with my hands or i'll look at my nails and pick at them. it's my way of not confronting uncomfortable silent moments. i seem to forget what to do with my hands and arms: when i'm standing up, or if i'm sitting down.
