wow! I was just randomly looking for videos of road trip across Australia! I am so glad I made a stop at this video. Fantastic work in its entirety.
This is on my bucket list. I have done San Francisco to New York road trip many times, I would love to drive across Australia! Love from US!

Your narration is a unique and humbling insight in to the incredibly intelligent mind of a keen adventurer and I genuinely can’t get enough of it. You’re all the adventure with none of the ego, modern adventure media has so much to learn from you. Please, don’t stop. Please, write a book.

Just to clarify - should I say adventure one more time?
      Adventure.

I just saw the comment by path77ss - that's exactly what I was doing - typed in "road trips australia" and of the list I chose this one - I thought "OK, it's late and this is only 11 minutes..." bloody glad I did - great video, well put together, and some excellent shots. Nice work mate. I am an Aussie and wanted to see a bit of the outback and the road - I live in Thailand, and have not been back for a visit since 2019 due to COVID and Quaintarse not flying, and the 3k for a quarantine! So this is the better alternative.
Thanks for the clip - I see there is a part 2, but as it's 5.03am now, and I need to rest, I will take a look tomorrow.

Do not drive into flood water until you check how deep it is and that there are no "washouts" across the road that are too wide & deep to cross. Washouts can be spotted by even slow swirling of the water through the the washout long after the water has peaked. And did you notice the speed the semi went through even though it had 3 × the wagons clearance. I suggest the driver was checking for that "swirling water. And you don't drive into water at the speed the wagon did because you can easily "drown" coils, computer componen, relays and other electrical stuff under the bonnet. You could easily aquaplane the wagon or even the trailer. Make sure you plug your diff & gearbox breather hoses before plunging in. But good on you young man for taking on the journey and a great vid showing that beautiful country to the world. I bet your better half will not stop pestering you for a down & back central trip once she sees the vid.

You're both embracing you nomadic instincts, our species was one that was on the move for thousands and thousands of years.
Adventure always begins with trepidation but it subsides and your consciousness connects with your ancestral instincts and then you feel at more ease.
    Have a great journey.

I really thought that the whole of inner Australia was desertic but it's actually pretty green!

    • @KillerPanda1802
      @KillerPanda1802 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

algrand90 definitely depends on the time of year. During storm season (summer) everything is green. And then it gets pretty desertic during autumn

    • @hipposaviation1841
      @hipposaviation1841 4 ปีที่แล้ว

It ain’t green in summer that’s for sure, not when it’s at least 45 degrees everyday! But again, it depends where exactly you are as the interior of Australia is huge.

Now I see it. but rain & flood. in the outback? So it goes from no water in endless miles of desolated sun baked western australia to rainy and flood in a full season then back to a dry landscape again. That pretty wild weather .

Rule #1 when traveling across Australia : never camp by the side of any road or in any isolated camping ground, good chance of meeting Mick Taylor.

Bukowski, Charles Bukowski. He was a Los Angeles poet. He wrote Post Office and Ham On Rye, but is most famous for his poems. Last Night Of The Earth Poems is the best one I've read...there's a poem called 'Bluebird' in that book...and it's awesome. I've attached it on this comment. It's best when he reads it though, there's a recording of it somewhere. Just a warning though...he's a massive negative nancy.
there's a bluebird in my heart that
      wants to get out
but I'm too tough for him,
I say, stay in there, I'm not going
      to let anybody see
      you.
there's a bluebird in my heart that
      wants to get out
but I pour whiskey on him and inhale
      cigarette smoke
and the whores and the bartenders
      and the grocery clerks
      never know that
      he's
      in there.
there's a bluebird in my heart that
      wants to get out
but I'm too tough for him,
      I say,
stay down, do you want to mess
      me up?
you want to screw up the
      works?
you want to blow my book sales in
      Europe?
there's a bluebird in my heart that
      wants to get out
but I'm too clever, I only let him out
      at night sometimes
      when everybody's asleep.
      I say, I know that you're there,
      so don't be
      sad.
      then I put him back,
      but he's singing a little
in there, I haven't quite let him
      die
      and we sleep together like
      that
      with our
      secret pact
      and it's nice enough to
      make a man
      weep, but I don't
      weep, do
      you?

The story is beautiful. But I can't stop wonder. If the story is about a documented solo journey how come then the often parts where the car is filmed while passing .... Mr Jesse would be go to the point of the camera , installing the camera, then he would go back away from the camera, then passing with the car , then stopping the car , going back to the camera and retrieve the camera..... All in a one rush journey to be reunited with his girl he was missing so much. I am not a hater , i like views I like journeys , I like videos about the journeys but I do not like being bullshitted . I saw some videos made for the purposes of being uploaded. Yes, the makers did got the journey did filmed in this way but they never said that they are only traveling and just happened to video something and share with us. It was obviously some work the video was a big part of the journey. But here is another story.....
