- In This video, I install the HIAB crane on my car trailer. Very happy with the outcome and how this one came together so easily. This is going to save my back. I have already been thinking of where and how I can use it. Such a time saving and back-saving machine. Let the work begin
Lmao, you had me at that fukn barking dog, nothing more annoying than working with at high pitched constant yapping, great job on the power pack/hyab install, great video and Audio quality :)
Thanks. My dad asked me if I shot it. Lmao 🤣
Mate does anything hold the post of the crane down on the base assembly i have one looks the same ,picked up cheap but the slew is seized i can,t find any way to get it off just wondering if there is a bolt or fixing somewhere i can,t find it is stuck solid. at the moment it is upside down with diesel soaking in the joint ,any advise you can give would be a great help ,cheers paul in tassie
Has an Allen key grub screw
How thick is the plate you made? Would 10mm do the job you guess?
Hi Sam I used 12mm plate. The gussets underneath are very close to the holes though.
I have mounted a small fassi micro 10 to trailer. How did you connect wires to battery? Mine just has blue and brown wire coming from the control box
Hi Sam,
I am not sure without looking at it but, I had to run a large cable to the solenoid that goes to the pump and then a large negative cable to the body of the pump. I would dare say the blue and brown on yours are the control circuit for the solenoid, which I wired to a switch to turn the pump on.
@@TheadventuresofSherylandPaul ok thanks for the reply. I must be missing an important part then. I just have the crane itself and the control box. ( auction purchase) must be missing a hydraulic power pack someone mentioned
Does the arm go higher than that mate ?
Close to vertical. I think in the video it’s only about 1/3 stroke of the ram
It is Maxilift ML110 not HIAB :D
yeah I can see why that barking would get on your nerves it would get on mine too. yeah your going to need to build an outrigger on it especially lifting heavier loads. Things can go wrong real quickly.
There is an additional circuit on the valve body for it. Just need a ram. cheers
@@TheadventuresofSherylandPaul well that good, definitely will be cheaper for yah with not too much trouble.
