The sonic sunglasses were Peter's idea - he knew not every kid's parents can afford a fancy sonic screwdriver toy, but every kid can find a super cheap pair of sunglasses. It was a gift to them.
Missy has four audio series & a comic series.😂 Nicole may resent that the face chosen for the sort was not David Tennant. Classic Who fans have long abandoned asking HOW The Master survives anything.😂 Second time the Special Weapons Dalek talks - it's a Rent a Dalek prop & has a seat for the operator. Dodgems [dodge them] is a trademark. They are generally known as bumper cars. Michelle's favourite scene: pushing Clara into the hole.😂 The children's comics made a point that the original Daleks had difficulty perceiving the colour Red (possibly confused for heat) & bump into red British post boxes. So it's curious to see the red Supreme Dalek on a mount here. That's why there was a green blob back in Manhatten - that was a burial. Sewer/graveyard. Makes you what happened to 2 civilisations worth of chairs.
The question of whether the Doctor saves Davros or not is also a reference back to classic Who. In "Genesis of the Daleks", the Doctor has the ability to destroy the whole of Dalek kind at their creation and there's a whole crisis of conscience scene about whether the Doctor has the right to do it. (There are other references in this two-part story, too - the arrival in the minefield, for example - and the Doctor effectively holding Davros hostage to his own life support machines).
You should check out the British sitcom 'Green Wing' from 2004. Comedy set in a hospital. That's where i probably first saw Michelle Gomez. The show itself is hilarious and so is she. 😊
This episode was a 'Who is Who' (no pun intended) parade of all the classic Daleks & a treat for us old Whovians. 😻 Missy really is an 'Agent of Chaos' & I loved her for that as she gave so much comedy to the show. 🤣 And for the record; Davros is NOT in a wheelchair, he is in a life support unit! 😠
The Capaldi Doctor explored morality. The speeches were excellent usually. Also Davros wasn’t evil to start with. He was a brilliant scientist who was trying to save his people who were dying because of a war that was ravaging his world. He “fell to the dark side” through ego and pride, turning against peer scientists who hurt his feelings. His beginnings are very “human nature” based. I highly recommend watching Genesis of the Daleks.
The Series 3 two-part Dalek story you were trying to remember was set in 1930, not 1963. Anyway, you're not alone as it's not highly rated by most fans! I don't know if it's the same in Germany, but in English folklore witches supposedly kept a small animal called a "familiar" that would act as the witch's spy, and would enable the witch to carry out spells. So Missy is the Witch, and Clara is her Familiar... I thought this second episode was an improvement on the first. It's more consistent, and avoids rubbish like the Doctor "being cool". Missy is on top form here, but fortunately without quite stealing the show. I'd give the episode a 4 out of 5
The Doctor and Davros scenes are really great, the acting from both capaldi and bleach is top tier and THE best thing about this two parter easily (although both characters were playing each other so it doesn't mean anything), but of course the rest of it is pretty garbage, the dalek casing is now the really villain? Not the creature's inside? Like it has been for decades? No Mr Moffat that's not how a dalek works.... Talk about spitting in the face of Genesis of the daleks right? Plus the embarrassing scene of the doctor drinking a cup of tea with no explanation, just a silly stupid ego gag that is basically a cartoon and Missy's really cringy texas accent(she is basically just an evil version of river song, constantly making jokes and innuendo all the time).....stupid sonic sunglasses......just one big one hour episode with the doctor and Davros for the whole thing is all we needed for this, everything else is rubbish...everyone disagree with me in...3, 2, 1.....don't care, my opinion that's what I think, believe or not everything is NOT perfect. and there's a lot in this story that's pulled from moffats comic relief comedy doctor who Special from the 90s. Desperate much? If Moffat doesn't like writing daleks then..don't write them, simple. Thankfully the next two parter is far better ...
Thanks for your opinion :) I enjoy reading content like this, you may be right, I'm not afraid to read negativity. :3 Despite your review, you are still a fan of Doctor Who. :) In some ways, I agree with you, and I also agree that the next 2 episodes are much more interesting ;)

"and they look so much better than the screwdriver"
WOOOO boy that is a hot take XD
Back in the series 5 finale when River killed the Dalek, the Dalek pleaded for mercy. Now we know why….
You're 100% right. ALL of those things that you mentioned at the beginning of the video happened because of what the Doctor did here. Technically....

What a great double episode ! I love how we explore the Doctor/ Davros psychologie.
Missy was so fun to !
Great reaction !
Love Missy!
PS: Oh my God, this is my shortest comment during my entire stay on your show.

When I clicked on the video I had it on 0.25 speed so it was very slow talking when I clicked on the video 😂😂😂😂
That other programme is called Green Wing.
