Im 26 and swore off smartphones for this. Tired of breaking so many smartphones. I drive heavy equipment and dropped so many out of graders dozers etc and they always hit a rock on face and bust. This phone is bullet proof.
Slamming the old flippy shut in anger is so underated. I have always owned a flip phone in my 42 years of life. Cheers! Your video helped me decide to buy one.
"Close to End Call" does NOT work if you were talking via SPEAKER Phone! Important to know that when you close your phone, if the person on the other end hasn't hung up yet, they will hear everything you do or say after you think you have hung up. Have to press END to terminate that call.

I hate all this new technology, and it’s not that it’s not great, it’s too good. It can be addicting and very toxic and I have always had some sort of smart device. I’m only 19 and the past couple months I’ve been finding the true me, and non of this technology is it all this social media is holding me back and is very bad for my brain. Therefore I’m going old school I’m glad it has an aid because the only thing I want to be able to do on a phone is talk to people call wise or short text, and listen to music everything else I’m getting rid of and if I want to take a picture to share it somewhere I’m gonna get a camera and use my computer at home to share it. But I just hate having all this social media on me when I’m out and about doing stuff.
Me too! I’m excited many us young people are doing something about it because this age of internet isn’t what the old internet of once you left the computer it doesn’t follow you. Now a days even with friends they are always on their phone talking to someone who isn’t there. It’s sad and depressing and that’s not even including how toxic and addictive social media is.
From the get-go of your video, I was nodding my head up-and-down in agreement for ALL of the reasons you listed for having a "Flip Phone" ... and yes, including slamming it closed to hang up when I'm PO'd. With that said, I do have a Plain Old Telephone (POTS) Copper Wired Telephone Service at home ... and there is NOTHING like slamming down the handheld receiver into it's cradle. It's a "CLICK" sound (plus dial tone on my end) that the caller just knows you are over and out with their call. Thanks for a great concise video with realistic reasons as why we'd want and get a flip phone. My husband is the one who needs one to take to work, but he does use an industrial phone that stays at work. Thanks for pointing out the features that I had no idea were there, and apparently, other people, who have made videos about this phone, don't know. I have the Kyocera DURAXV EXTREME +, this is replacing the LG LTE for us. Not sure if this version has a little more doo-dads on it then the older model? But I get the drift for this one via your video. Thanks. P.S. EXACTLY! It is EVER SO satisfying ...
Yep, it’s satisfying! As close as you can get to our old ‘Ma Bell’ rotary dial landline phones that SHOOK the house when you slammed that receiver!!! There must be a video on it, for those who never saw one.
After going through about three smart phones in four years I told my wife I have had it with the money pit and bought this exact phone five months ago. It is great and say bye to ridiculous distracting notifications. And because texting is not as easy as a smart phone there is no guilt if you do not respond or respond with a detailed text. It is pretty much as far as text go - yes, no, maybe, and ok. I wanted to simplify and get the cost down as well. This phone is it for me.
God i want one so bad but there extremely expensive. the only reason I have This iPhone 7 Plus with a cracked screen was because my parents upgraded a few months ago
This is my next phone. I just call and text so it's perfect. I see people walking around looking at their phones I. Their car while driving. I used to have a g zone flipper as my first phone and honestly miss the simplicity. Glad this phone is available
I love flip phones because I'm old school and I don't want my phone to control me like a smart phone does to people. Like he said flip it open to answer and flip it close to hang up....easy. Try explaining this to a young sales person who insist on selling you a smartphone. Yes, young people just don't get it because the smart phone's are controlling them.
All these videos talk too much about how wonderful this phone is for all kinds of experiences but none, including this video, goes through step by step how to use all the features. My husband turned on the flashlight, for instance, and ended up pushing multiple buttons to finally figure out how to turn it off. There is a need for very specific directions about usage..how all the features work and how to get back to "home" as part of the process. It should be assumed that tech terms may not be understood by a new user. Simple step by step instruction is badly needed. How about a new video that says "do this, then this," etc.
Rose James> 👍🏻👍🏻 Truth to that; tired of hearing how much they like it. Sounds like a infomercial. I would love to see a video on how to work the phone, not their opinions!!!!!!!!! I noticed most don't answer comments with questions; makes one wonder if they're being paid!!
Can someone tell me what the icon next to the time in the top left of the screen that looks like a bunch of little lines is? I just got one of these phones and noticed the icon. Looked all over the internet and haven’t been able to figure out what it means. I was going through my menus looking for a way to make it go away…..not sure what I did….but it went away. Now it bothers me that I don’t know what it was.
I just replaced my 15 yr. old LG flip phone with this Kyocera E4810. I have no interest in a smartphone or some fragile, bulky device. I've only had this phone since Monday afternoon so I am still getting familiar with it, but I am indeed impressed. It is solid, fully functional, with varied options. I like the self answering feature, although I didn't realize I had that on and was surprised when I got a call. The volume is most satisfactory.
Thinking about getting one but I need the hotspot, does the hotspot work fast? Got an iPhone 11 but can’t get rid of it because of the hotspot, don’t have WiFi where I live
Im curious if it can record video while the lid is closed, like in a front shirt pocket like a body cam. To capture Karens and there b.S. thanks for sharing the click sound. Slam the phone on tell-a-marketers.
I would love to buy this phone and use it, while keeping my carrier and phone number, which is H2O wireless, but pretty sure it won’t work/support it :/
Nice job!! Hey, do you know how to change the text box color? My phones default txt box background color is PINK and I don’t like it. I’ve been through every function I can find and don’t know how to change it. The pink is fine for people who like pink. I don’t. Thanks!!!
Hi. i bought my mom this phone 3 mos ago and somehow the side jack where the charger plugs in got damaged.. dont know how..anyhow took phone in to repair shop and was told kyocera doesn't make this part available anymore.. this shouldn't be too hard to fix since its not soldered on. its just trying to find this little piece somewhere.anyone know where i can find? .ive never used ebay before so maybe find it there? but id still have to take apart to get part no. and all...i hate to toss this phone after 3 mos and $240.00 gone. and i didn't have any insurance on this. ill keep researching.
Use to have a phone like this years ago. We should launch a campaign or petition to bring 🔙 these types of phones and get rid of smartphones that are becoming pretty much pocket computers or tablets rather than actual phones, people are becoming so reliant on them it's just time consuming as well as ridiculous. They need to be done away with for 👍. If you want internet, social media, etc, get an actual PC, 💻 or tablet and leave that shit @ 🏡.

I wanted to get this in Verizon but when I checked the review so much negative reviews make me reverse.
Flip Phone squad... LOL.... Great video bro.... The old Nextel Flip phones were so awesome...
Excellent phone, have 2 on my Verizon post-paid account. Only complaints are battery life, you get 3 days max at best!!!
I am switching to this from my iPhone 11 Pro Max.. This will be my EDC phone and the iPhone will stay at home for Playing with at night over wifi.
I like that idea. I couldn't do it lol

A 5MP camera on a basic flip phone is impressive, especially considering the first iPhone had, like, a 3 MP camera.
2mp lol even worse.
i would suggest getting a power bank and a longer proper usb cable in your nag

Flipping and closing when you’re mad? ☝🏾🧔🏾♂️👍🏾😁😄😄😆👍🏾 But ☝🏾🧔🏾♂️ (real talk) I’m getting one because it reminds me so much of my old Nextel.
It got good reviews by PC MAGAZINE, my question is can it be connected to T-MOBILE and how is the camera?
Does it take any earphones or do you have to get a pair from Kyocera? Thanks for the videos.
headphone jack?
yes!
And what about hyper extending the screen durability? When you drop it when its open and you step on it? Will flatten out without breaking?
Get mine tomorrow 😁😁
This would be great for my parents they don't like smart phones and it has ptt
